Dexter's POV;

Three days after the failed invasion attempt in Spring Uzushiogakure received the official war declaration from Kumogakure. The reason was our involvement in defending Spring and the death of Killer B.

The last one was a surprise for us, but after some thought, it must have been Akatsuki. I did not put seals in place that would stop Obito from looking. Well, not that it matters now, Kura-chan and I have decided to take Akatsuki out of the game and this is what we will do today.

For that we, Daichi, Mom, Mikoto, Tsunade, and I were on a small island in Kirigakure. While we were fairly sure that the Gedo Mazo would not be able to suck Kura-chan in, now that she is a Ten-Tails herself, we didn't want to risk it, and so she stayed back.

She grumbled a lot and was not happy with this, but I stayed firm. Even her big teary eyes could not shake me. At least not in the two seconds I had to see them before using the Hiraishin out of the village.

All of us were ready for battle and we have put some serious seals in place that would stop anyone from interfering from the outside. We also told our people that we will be gone for a few days and not able to get in contact with.

I activated my Rinne-Sharingan and summoned the Gedo Mazo towards me, with a giant cloud of smoke it appeared before me and with her someone else.

A burst of my Chakra activated the seals and the statue was paralysed. I then rushed forward to the stunned Nagato and cut his head off before he could do anything. His Hungry Demon path would have been able to dispose of the seal.

The real Nagato was way too weakened to defend himself and merely looked up before my clawed hand parted his head from his shoulders. His body was fragile and heavily malnourished. It is a wonder how someone in such a state could survive. It sure is largely thanks to his Uzumaki heritage.

“Who was that?”, asked Daichi from behind me. The others looked at the corpse and with some revulsion at the ugly statue of the Juubi.

“That was Nagato, an Uzumaki that lived in Rain. His parents died in the third Shinobi war and he became the figurehead leader of Akatsuki”, I answered.

Tsunade gasped when she remembered the name,” We thought he died”, she said quietly.

“No, he and the Konan survived. They were the original founders of Akatsuki with Yahiko. But then Danzo tricked them and sold them out to Hanzo. The ambushed resulted in Yahiko's death and Nagato's fixation on the liberation of all war, by killing hundreds of thousands as a means of fear against retaliation.

He was not in his right mind. Had a god complex too”, I explained and ripped his body out of the statue. He was connected to it by the black rods. Looks like the rods were sucking out his Chakra, in combination with using two eyes that don't belong to him, it's no wonder that he became so weak.

“Okay, I don't know how long it will take and who might know of us being here. I hope the seals will stop anyone from interfering, but you'll never know”, I then said and activated a group of seals.

The first one was distorting the space around us, it transported us between this dimension and another one, making us effectively untouchable. The second one was the same we used in Spring and would cut anything in pieces that get close to the island. And the third one will inform us of anyone coming close to us.

With that done I sat next to the body of the Juubi and began to suck it's Chakra out. It held more than what Kura-chan was in her complete Nine-Tailed form and there were more than one beings inside.

Seems like Akatsuki had already started with their mission. There was the Four-Tails, the Five-Tails, the Two-Tails and some parts of the Eight-Tails. Then there was the massive presence of something with endless hunger and a quiet presence.

Who was the last one? Kaguya? It could be possible, but the presence was weak. Broken and barely there.

I began to absorb the Chakra of the thing and made sure not to suck in the consciousness of any of them. The Chakra I gained was mixed with mine, something only possible after becoming a being made out of Chakra.

Gradually it got weaker and weaker until the hungry presence was almost silent. It was then that the weak one and the remaining Bijuu started to 'move' and notice what happened.

At once all five of them 'turned' to me and moved forward. I stopped the absorption almost completely so that I won't suck any of them into me by accident and waited what they would do.

They touched my own presence and I found myself in space. Stars were around me and four Bijuu stood opposite of me with a white-haired, yet human looking, Kaguya in front of them.

“You're the one that fought Roshi”, stated the ape.

“My child, you've finally reached me”, interrupted Kaguya and walked a step closer.

“Child? I don't know what you mean Kaguya. My parents in this world are Kushina and Minato”, I said with a thoughtful frown.

“Only in blood, but not by Chakra”, she replied and walked closer. I raised a hand for her to stop and she did so with a sad smile.

“Explain!”, I demanded and she smiled weakly. There was none of the emotional expression she had in the anime and she looked more like the woman that was in her backstory. Still somewhat cold, but with more life.

“The moment I ate the forbidden fruit I felt the presence of the Juubi. I heard it whispering to me to take all Chakra, to rule and to consume. I also felt how it grew stronger and me weaker, so I used its powers to give my children Chakra of their own.

But I soon saw that neither of them would be strong enough to truly defeat me, once I have lost everything that was me. So I imprinted Hagoromo and Hamura with some of my presence. They would give it to their children.

I hoped that at some part in time a child of them will have the right condition to inherit my powers and with them the ability to kill the Juubi. Only a child of Hagoromo would be able to contain the power.

If I have done everything correctly it should have happened when you gained your Rinnegan. But I don't know how you have come to possess the Rinne-Sharingan. It should have been a weaker version, without the ability to use the Ultimate Illusion”, she explained and ended with a questioning look.

So Madara does not have them because he implanted the Senju cells?

“It happened when I gave my wife, the Kyuubi, the Chakra of every other Bijuu. She became the new Juubi”, I answered and she looked fearful.

“I know what you think, don't worry. I took half of her Chakra and stopped the mental corruption. She is not in danger of becoming like the last Juubi. And so am I. I have a special constitution that allows me to have nearly unlimited Chakra”, I added. Her fear subsided and she smiled weakly.

“I am glad for you”, she then said.

“What happens now?”, asked the cat of the so far silent Bijuu.

“Now I am going to absorb the remaining Chakra of the Juubi and kill it. Kaguya, do you want to come out? I could give you a body”, I said and ignored the look of outrage from the Bijuu. They understood that I had no intention of saving them.

“No, I want to die too. The time inside the Juubi was not good to me. I am only able to speak coherently by using your link to me. Without you, I would not be responsive to anything. I would also not be able to live in a world that must be so different to my own”, she declined.

There was the option of her staying inside my seal, but I did not want that. She might have regained herself after some years, but I do not want to have someone inside me that was not Kura-chan. I was not such a nice person.

“Very well. I will then continue”, I said and did so. First I banished the Bijuu to the almost silent Juubi and then continued to suck out the rest of the Juubi's Chakra. It was still more than what the Three-Tailed Turtle had, but by far less than what it once was.

Sometime later I finished and each of the presences was silent. Not even every Bijuu would now be able to bring the Juubi back, as there was no longer Chakra to sustain its mind.

I opened my eyes and stood up. The statue was now nothing more than a small thing that looked more like a dried dead tree and not like a human corpse in mountain size. The others noticed me and stood up as well. They were sitting around a bonfire.

“And?”, asked Tsunade.

“It's dead and I met Kaguya. Mum, did you know that you are in some form related to Minato?”, I asked with a grin and she became pale.

“How close?”, asked Tsunade.

“Not close, Minato has had some blood of the Uchiha and Mom has some of the Senju. Both are descendants of Hagoromo Otsuki. Or better known as the Sage of the Six paths.

Kaguya, his mother and the original Jinchuriki of the Juubi gave some of her Chakra to him and his children so that one of them would be able to kill the Juubi. Turns out I have to thank her for gaining the false Rinne-Sharingan I once had. The real one was not part of her plan”, I explained. All of them looked shocked, but mum was relieved to know that she was not 'truly' related to Minato.

“What a story”, muttered Daichi with a shake of his head.

“Did something happen? And how long did I take?”, I asked and looked out of the still softly glowing seal.

“I think four days and nothing happened. We were quite bored”, answered Tsunade with a shrug.

“Good, then let's go back, I have to get Kura-chan's wrath over me. She is probably angry for me ditching her like that”, I said with a light shudder. There won't be any sex denial from her side, she loves it too much for that, but her silent glare is not nice. And she won't let me pet her tails!

“Poor you”, laughed Mikoto. The rest of them agreed with her and I had to hiraishin us back to Uzu.

We were back in my home, but there was no home. In place was a ruin.

A quick search of for Chakra showed me that a lot of people were no longer present, but thankfully Kura-chan was. She was in the middle of the village and her Chakra felt strong and angry.

Without a word, all of us jumped out of the destroyed house and rushed towards the village middle. Some parts of the town were broken, but there were already people in the process of rebuilding.

We only took a few seconds to reach the Kage tower and saw a lot of covered bodies in the plaza that was in front of the tower. Kura-chan was standing next to our ANBU commander and some other high ranked people.

“What happened?”, I asked once I was next to them. They looked relieved to see us and started to speak all at once. A short burst of my Chakra stopped them.

“One after the other”, I stated and the ANBU commander stepped to the front.

“Sir, we are glad you are back. We tried to reach you, but no one knew where you were. A day after your departure three people of Akatsuki attacked. It were Deidara the Bomber, Kisame Hoshigaki, and Sasori of the Red Sand. They used an unknown way to pass the outer barrier and then attacked the village while searching for the anchor of our main defence seal.

Lady Kurama was able to take out Deidara before he could do much with his explosions and Sasori was taken out by our seal masters”, started Bob.

One of the seal masters stepped forward and took over; “We quickly realised that he has done some seal work on himself and counter sealed him. He had used a seal on his heart that allowed him to become a puppet of his own.

That only left Kisame. But somehow Lady Kurama was not able to wound him for long and any attack he has done on her healed him rapidly”, he said and it was Kura-chan that continued after him.

“That guy was sucking out my Chakra and using it to heal himself. Someone like me could do nothing against him, so I stepped back and left the matter to our Ninja that specialised in close combat without Jutsu. By his death the sword jumped away by itself and escaped”, she said with a lot of anger. She mustn't have liked that.

“Did they succeed? And what about Itachi?”, I asked. They obviously passed the seals thanks to Samehada. But Obito's counter was in the middle of the main seals and not in danger of such an attack.

“No, they were not able to breach our defence. And there was no sign of Itachi Uchiha. But we've lost 72 Ninja and close to 130 civilians”, he said with some sadness and a glimpse at me.

“I won't be able to resurrect them. It wouldn't be good. I learned, soon after resurrecting the last time, that it is not meant to be and that it will have dire consequences if I continue”, I lied. His shoulders dropped but he accepted the lie as the truth.

This way I won't have to bother with future requests about reviving them. I already had to tell a few that it would not be possible. Natural order and such bullshit. They probably believe me only because I heavily laced my voice with Chakra.

I nodded and gestured for them to follow me inside the tower. There would be a lot of talk and little rest in the coming days. Good that I don't need to sleep and am able to make Shadow Clones.

And it seems like Kura-chan forgot our little dispute while fighting. Lucky me!

But what about Itachi? And where was Obito? Do I have to track the idiot down and kill him?
