Dalson PoV
The books the girls brought us are rather nice. All the animals in the region and several monsters derived from them.
Judging by the books content they hunted the monsters a bit.
Many aren't too strong but the bears would make some rather strong ones. I've already fought hind bears and Bearbee when I was a human so those would be born soon. The problem is space.
The great forest is large but it's starting to get cramped and the bears have trouble in the tight spaces.
The mage slaves were drained today so tomorrow I will have Mavis expand the forest making a less dense forest.
Still with a good bit of MP left I call Mavis.
Dalson: "Hey Mavis mind taking control of the rabbits, wolves and birds. Oh and next time you drain the mages please add a less dense forest area."
Mavis: "I can add it now. A space about 4km long like the denser forest. Judging from the amount of MP left you will have 23k MP left."
Dalson: "I can work with that.”
Mavis: ”While you’re at it can you work on the Devil Hounds as well, They have been left at Tier 1 for a long time so I would like to see that go up a rank.”
Dalson: ”One at a time. The forest is too packed for large monsters anyway so make the new addition.”
As if on cue I feel his magic power fluctuate. I quickly open a portal into the forest to see it. From the corridor used to separate the lake from the forest four kilometers of it was stretching out. Not only that but the dense forest itself was getting bigger. The new part was 4 km long but the corridor stretch nearly 10 km wide pulling the dense forest with it. Now the room was 8 km by 10 km. I look up and see the ceiling rise up and more sun crystals, as we call them, start to form over the new area.
I also see tree sprouts appear but it was less dense than before. Around the connection was a divide that slowly thinned as it went until it was evened out. Suddenly as the trees grow I see several areas rise and fall making hills and some areas even showing rock faces. In several I see a cave appear with bears and rabbits escaping in fear. Mavis must have moved them from the forest.
With my eyes that could see the fluctuation of magic power as well as the movement of life forces. I could see all the animals run towards the area away from the dense zone. Raptors and lizards followed behind but tigers stay behind since dense forest is their natural habitat. Birds were separated on this matter. Several larger ones that have evolved becoming meat eaters stayed in the safer higher forest while the smaller bug eats and worm chasers went to the less dense one.
I saw the birds as one of the animals with the best potential here. The tight spaces in the trees made it hard to spot them and the skills they could develop with magic could cause massive damage in a tight spot like this.

If for some reason someone who shouldn’t appears here then they would face all the hardest enemies we can make.
Mavis: ”Ok I made the room as well as taking over all remaining animals. Which will you work on?”
Dalson: ”If you have MP then I can work on various. I only need one or two of each race. The books Julie and Milliana brought us were a great help so we can make many kinds tier 1 monsters.”
Mavis: ”Then if the raptors will be altered make some wyverns as well. The dungeon raptors are Tier 1 already and have cores. The animals will take maybe a day for the first generation with cores to be born.”
Dalson: ”If I still need to wait then I will begin. Also try changing that Dungeon lord. It seems you already choose so change it already. If someone can get through that Death Knight of yours then you won’t be ready for them.”
Mavis: ”Yes “Mother” I will get to it tomorrow once I drain the mages.”
Several veins appear on my head hearing him call me mother. The guys have been making fun of me because of my race being called a Queen.
I swear when he builds up a huge amount of MP I will alter myself so that I can change this race but continue altering monsters.
Anyway after I tell Mavis to restrain a dungeon lizard and dungeon raptor I go to their location and turn both into cores and enter my lair.
I leave the dungeon lizard aside and focus on the raptor.
The beast already had a good supply so I began using that to alter his body. I increase the size of its body to twice its size. From nose to the tip of its tail it was now 6 meters long. The hind legs were reinforced to support its weight. The body structure itself was already similar to a natural wyvern outside so I simply increased its muscle strength so it can fly. Then I made the small weak arms longer and stronger. I three claws loose at the tip of the hand and created 2 new fingers which formed at the wrist but turned back. They stretched back about 3 meters the largest and 2.70 the second. I then stretched the skin on the arm and formed muscle and scales around the new fingers before making a thin, strong and flexible webbing around the fingers.
For protection I made the scales on its body more spiked and then made the tail broader with the scales being bulkier forming a spiked tail which would be a weapon. On its spine I made spikes appear on all his vertebra sealing the deal.
I used the raptors own MP and even 8k from Mavis to make it. With so much MP used it was kind of scary to think this would be released. Mavis would need to control their population and probably make them dungeon residents instead of the forests.
I put it aside at rest to gather MP and then grab the other one. This was a dungeon lizard core. From my knowledge of dragons what I can make this lizard into would probably be something similar to a drake. Drakes are about 5 meters long from nose to the tip of the tail. Have large longer legs which hold them off the ground completely and plate like scales similar to a dragon. They simply have no wings.
I get to it and begin changing it. The MP needed was much more because dragons are beings that have larger MP capacities so it was no joke to say a drake would also have it. It took the lizards MP plus 11k more to finish it.

Like the wyvern it gained spikes on its spine and scales which made it rough and hard to attack head on. The scales on its side are smoother but still rough for protection. The tail of the lizard was shrunk down a way but as it grows it would eventually become longer again as it ranked up more.
With the two great predators done I open a portal to the forest and throw them in.
The hit the ground and released the MP forming their bodies.
New creatures live by the law of survive first. The two looked at each other as they both formed and turned the opposite ways. The wyvern ran off into the less dense forest and began flying near the wall a cave formed and it flew that way.
The drake ran off in the other direction and settled near the dividing line of the two forests. It probably won’t hunt in the dense forest and might move on to the flat grass lands.
I will need to make large herbivores as preys. They eat too much. And have proven that when a partner appeared. The two went on an eating sprees eating any monster that appeared in their way.
They then laid eggs in a clutch of nearly 20 eggs.
In that single birthing from both wyvern and Drake Mavis stopped the frenzied growth.
This would delay the eggs from hatching. It would take three days at best before they hatch. In that time he needs to set up the flatlands and I need to make a large prey they can hunt.
I was going to use the lizards to make large creatures to be hunted.
I wonder if the humans and monsters will be able to kill them. Well every race needs a predator. Eventually a monster too strong for them would appear.
Dragon beasts are always a fear to humans so the hunting should begin when the first one is seen.
The human village and the guild are the only one that aren't a part of the dungeons creatures besides the animals.
I wonder what a human would become. I guess humans are more advanced than animals so maybe a stronger human. Denser muscles and so on.
Well Milliana is a witch so I can't test it even if she let me.
I guess we can wait until push comes to shove. At one point the humans will ask. The young teen have gotten to C rank standards already but they eat monster meat seasoned with herbs used to remove the poison.
They also do mind training to keep their sanity.
Wonder how strong a human will get before Mavis needs to help support their mind.
I shrug and return to my lair waiting for MP to build up and think of how I should make the prey for the dragon breeds.
Julie PoV
It’s been so peaceful since we finally set up trade with the village. It will be a few months but I'm sure the village will turn into a massive port town with all the monster breeds and items we get here.
It will be a bit annoying if adventurers come because the dungeons difficulty will bring high rankers.
They will probably be the ones that challenge the dungeon boss.
Mavis told all of us as well as the villagers that the magic emblem will work as long as you follow a set of rules. Fighting the dungeon boss is breaking a rule so it’s a monster you fight at your own risk.
It’s been three days since the villagers came to the dungeon. The variant gargoyles have been getting lessons from the guild so they can learn to use the functioning vocal cord they have.
This is so that they can speak with the humans.
I was out hunting in the newly made rain forest. It had much less trees and smaller ones as well.
I was hunting the newly born horned rabbits and hares that appeared in the area. Sir Dalson must have started investing the MP we get from the hunting and the payments.
One feature of the great forest is that animals aren't absorbed. At least not new ones. This is so we can gather the whole body and figure out how to process all the parts.
As I stored the body of another hare I suddenly feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand. All dungeon dwellers have developed this sense. We don't know since when but it has saved us countless times from ambushes.
I instantly grabbed the bag sash and jumped doing a somersault.
I felt a rush of wind pass as a huge paw crossed the area I was standing at.
When I landed I saw the culprit.
Standing on its hind legs was a bear nearly three meters tall. It was twice as wide as a normal bear and it had human like shoulders uncommon in bears. The claws were unnaturally long and the temperament of the bear seem to fall under territory defense since he simply stares at me.
Julie: That’s a hind bear! Did Dalson and Mavis make this?! Why something so dangerous especially down here.
I would need to talk with them later but for now I need to get away.
I pulled the hare out and tossed it to the bear.
He catches it in his jaws and glares before turning around.
It walks to a tree and with its claws it rips a large gash in them. It seems it retains its natural territory marking method. Things are going to get complicated.
As I watch the hind bear walk away on all fours I felt another sensation of danger.
Without warning I saw a huge body fly overhead and slams down on the Hind bear. What I saw made my mouth dry up.
A six meter long wyvern with dark green scales and spiked tail had its claw like feet jammed into the now dead bear.
It spread its huge wings and took off with the bear and all.
It was a true monster. To lift up that one ton bear with ease it could have easily killed me.
It was then that I felt it. Vibrations of when Mavis does huge expansions to this room. I climbed the nearest tree to look.
The expansion was all around us most predominate on the wall away from the dense forest.
Rapidly the corridor began opening up spreading open the way to a great expanse of land. The walls kept spreading all the way until it linked with the current walls. The area was bare but I saw it from afar. The deep blue lights from the lake room. It was connected to the forest now.
When I looked up I saw the ceiling rising greatly and the sun crystals sun crystals growing and spreading. As soon as the water room crystals connected with these bright light shined in the room.
I then felt a lurch as the entire room began shaking. The bare plains began to grow gentle hills but in several spots a larger mound appeared. Near the water edge a high cliff formed making a natural looking beaten cliff off the side of the sea.
Mavis: "Be careful from now on everyone. Dalson is about to add monster prey for the wyverns and drakes. They are large and strong for herbivores don't act reckless."
The next moment I saw a portal up above the plains that were filling up with grass. I felt the magic power from several cores being tossed down.
After a moment I saw the cores release and the monster started to form.
When it took shape my mouth hung open.
I have heard that in the Lost continents there were monsters like this.
Great reptiles that weren’t dragons nor wyverns.
The Lost Continents are the untouched lands which no one has dared to go because even the prey are as powerful as a high rank monster from this continent.
The creatures that appeared stood on its powerful back legs and looked around before the largest of the small pack let out a powerful roar which made the others follow it.
They were strange creatures. They had a similar build to a raptor but their front leg was longer and when they walked calmly they used it like front paws.
They head is long and they had a strange long bone growing on their head. Their body was large, about 7 meters long and their belly and torso area was as high as 4 meters and it was 2 and half meters wide.
They began to eat the grass which showed they were herbivores. Such large bodies would need so much grass to fill them up.
I looked up and saw the wyvern circling while eyeing them but before it could attack I saw something else move in.
Breaking out of the tree line and into the grassland a black drake ran as fast as it could towards the monsters.
The large one noticed it and roared. The others all looked and turned away and started to run. As they picked up speed they lifted off their front paws and started to run faster like a raptor on their back legs.
The leader stayed behind and let out a powerful roar at the drake he returned it.
The drake began to circle the creature eyeing at it. It kept a good distance to learn about the creature that was on its four legs.
When it got impatient it rushed in but the new creature reacted and spun around whipping the huge tail right into the drakes head turning it in a strange direction.
Once again my jaw dropped and hung there. A drake was the base for a dragon. It was a creature we elves would need 2 mages and 3 swordsmen to fight. Humans would need at least 5 warriors and 2 mages. That creature just killed it in one move. So this is why the lost continent remain lost. There is no way we can explore it in the first place.
Leaving behind the corpse it ran after its kin. The wyvern dropped down and began scavenging the corpse. Both of these were recently made so they wouldn’t vanish except the monster core which returns to Mavis with the MP gathered.
I gathered my things and quickly open a portal to the HQ.
Julie: ‘SIR REYLIN~~~~!!! WE HAVE TROUBLE!!!’
Mavis PoV
After three days of intensive MP gathering from the slave mages I finally had MP to increase the size of the forest all the way to the lake as well as allow Dalson to make the new prey.
I just wasn’t expecting him to make monsters from the lost continent.
I could say that the drake that tried to attack showed us exactly why those continents are still lost. There are only 2 of 5 know continents that human and other intelligent species inhabit. The rest are covered in monsters no one even knows about.
It’s thought that dragons originate from these places and that the greatest of them all exist on those continents.
I guess Dalson’s love for monsters and his study of any and all he could get little bits of information resulted in this.
I really can’t think of how the humans and others will survive now. I think we might have to rank up the humanoids as well. Kobold are still at tier 2 while goblins have several tier 3 rank ups.
I have heard that their races are based off of army classes. Footman, samurai, ninja. Several are from the eastern kingdoms where the largest kobold population is known to be found.
I might have to have Dalson make those. I think I could also try to learn all I can about the hundreds of lord evolutions that goblins have. Even extinct ones, who knows, if everything goes well we can train intelligent beings in here that are capable of conquering the lost continents. I wonder what kind of dungeons exist over there.
Speaking of dungeons I've grown so large that I can feel the dungeon that Theo discovered. It has 3 floors with no dungeon boss but I can feel a unique monster at the final room of the dungeon. It probably doesn’t have enough strength to make a proper dungeon lord but enough to make a variant of what he has.
From what I remember hearing from Theo, it's an animal dungeon with many types I don’t have and many ranks above simple animals.
With that in mind I plan my attack plan. I was going to take that dungeon so I can get the info on those races.
It was much faster than experimenting and wasting MP when several races are already in front of me.
Mavis: ”Dalson, Dad, Helen! Get your tribes ready, you guys will be going on a dungeon raid.”
