This Isn’t My World, And It Pisses Me Off
Chapter 15
The castle of the Demon King no longer contained it’s former ruler, instead a man that had just lost any hope he had left of going home sat upon the throne. Right next to him a young girl in a maids outfit knelt by him, dabbing a small white handkerchief at his eyes.
“Thanks, Reinigen-chan.” Ikari sniffed, coughing once and rubbing his eyes with his knuckles. Madyline nodded once, putting her handkerchief away and stepping to the side.
Ikari let out a breath and stared out at the throne room before him. It reminded him of King Otto’s, and that only served to piss him off. He looked down the few steps that led up to the throne, and saw a crowd of demons standing at the bottom.
Along with some women who looked as though they had been through Hell. “Get them some clothes.” He gestured to them. When his words were met with murmurs, he grit his teeth in anger. “NOW!”
Suddenly a chunk of them ran, hopefully looking for something for them to wear. Ikari nodded, sighing to himself slightly. He could remember what he said to Otto before he forced the portal closed, and decided to repeat himself. “I’m going to become the biggest problem possible for that fuckwad.”
“I’m the Demon King now.” He announced, hearing a sharp intake of breath from where Madyline was standing. “Anyone have a problem with that?” Was this a good idea? Probably not. But spite and anger did not lead to good ideas.
A woman stepped forward. She had bright orange hair and green eyes, along with a set of cat ears and a tail to match. “I do.” She drew forth a black sword that was coated in purple flame. “I was Beelzebub’s right hand woman and best warrior, and I do not intend for a human to take his place!”
“Who?” Ikari asked, never having heard the name before. This seemed to set something off in the catgirl, as she let out a battle cry and jumped forward.
Ikari frowned, he didn’t know if he could hit her and not kill her. While the catgirl was still in the air, he quickly slipped off one of his Brawler Gauntlets. Her sword came down, striking Ikari’s raised arm.
It shattered into pieces. Her bright green eyes widened, as Ikari punched her shoulder with his bare hand. She did not explode into a shower of blood and viscera, but instead went flying into a pillar with a horrible cracking noise sounding out from the impact.

“Shit! Madyline, healing potion!” Ikari instructed. The maid reacted quickly, taking out a bright red potion and tossing it to him.
It vanished out of thin air and so did Ikari. He reappeared next to the catgirl who had slid down to the ground. He held up her head and pulled the cork of the potion out with his teeth. Carefully, he poured the potion into her mouth.
The catgirl suddenly gasped, her eyes shining with a light and her body appearing as healthy as ever. “Wha-What?” She looked surprised, as Ikari sighed in relief and replenished the potion.
“Sorry. I forgot I had a strength boosting enchant.” He stepped away, heading back to Madyline to return the potion.
“You’re apologising?!” She exclaimed, standing to her feet and grabbing the handle of her sword, before realising that it was broken.
“Yes.” Ikari responded, handing the potion to Madyline. “I was tricked into killing someone under the promise it would send me home. I’m not gonna do that again.”
He faced the throne, his back to the Demons and the catgirl. It was a gaudy looking thing. He placed both hands on the arms of it. “I’m not going to be able to go home, am I.” It wasn’t a question. He knew the answer.
He remembered everyone. His parents. His friends. His dog. His sister. His life. The throne cracked under his grip, as Ikari slowly let out a breath.
“If no one in this world can bring me home,” He rose from his hunched position over the throne. “Then I’ll bring my home to me.” He turned with a stamp of his foot as the demons before him kneeled down. It made him vaguely uncomfortable but he powered through.
He had never been in a position of leadership before, but he knew how to talk to people. “The King of Larune lied to me.” His voice echoed through the empty chamber, and everyone looked up at his words.
“He told me that if I killed the Demon King I could return to my world.” His fist clenched in anger, but he let it go. “But I’m still here. So, I’m going to turn his words against him.”
“If I’m not going back, I’m bringing it here.” The demons looked confused, even Madyline had an odd expression on her face. “My world was much more advanced than anything this world could offer. So, I’m going to bring this Kingdom up to speed.”

“I’m going to bring this Kingdom into the Modern Era!” He threw a hand out, finally getting to the point. “I’m going to blow right past that bastards pride and joy and straight into the twenty first era.”
His words sent a wave of confusion through those before him, but none of them wanted to challenge the man who had so easily killed their King and bested their best warrior.
A small clapping ran through the empty hall. Ikari turned to see Madyline slowly stop the motion when she realised that no one else was joining in. His head fell down as something akin to embarrassment wormed its way into his gut.
“Thank you, Reinigen-chan.” Ikari sighed, as Madyline gave a small apologetic laugh. He heard a snicker in the group of demons before him.
He turned with a raised eyebrow, and a small green creature slapped a hand over its mouth. “I-I am sorry, Demon King.” He spoke with a shrill voice, and quickly bowed his head.
“Don’t bow to me.” Ikari said, sounding very tired. “What’s your name?” He asked, as the creature froze.
“M-My name is, Tin.” The green creature stood up after swallowing his fear. “I am the goblin leader.” His race made Ikari recall what that particular fantasy creature got up to in anime.
“What is it you do here, Tin?” Ikari asked, his voice carefully steadied.
Tin seemed to sweat, pulling at a tattered rag of cloth that covered him. “B-Beelzebub had Tin and other goblins steal womens.” The goblins head hung so low his nose nearly touched the ground.
Ikari’s hand curled into a fist, as he reconsidered what he said earlier about not killing anyone more. “But,” Tin continued, halting Ikari’s thoughts.
“Tin was very bad at that job, hehe.” The tips of his green fingers poked together awkwardly.
“Wait, so you didn’t agree with Beelzebub’s orders?” Ikari asked as many of those surrounding Tin looked at the small creature in surprise.
Tin swallowed, before standing straight and trying to appear brave. “No!” He exclaimed. “Tin did not like those orders! Tin made sure other goblins were the same! Goblins have bad faces with others already! We didn’t want them to be baddened!”
Despite the fact that his knees were knocking together, the goblin stood tall. Or, as tall as a goblin could stand. “Ok, you are now my second favourite person here.” Ikari’s words sent a wave of relief and shock through the goblin.
“Thanks! Many thanks, Demon King!” Tin bowed his head, his nose pressing against the ground as Ikari realised his ‘no bowing’ request went ignored. He looked to the rest of the, not actually demons, gathered there.
“So, out of curiosity…” Ikari began, a few ideas in his head coming together. “Who here thought Beezlebub was a jackass?” The words caused a communal gasp, but very quickly Tin raised his hand.
“Ok. Good on you Tin.” The goblin smiled at the praise, keeping his hand raised high. Slowly, another person raised their hand. They had pale grey skin and pure white hair. Ikari blinked for a second and pointed a finger at her. “Dullahan.”
The Dullahan was shocked he had guessed right, but nodded all the same. “Yes, I am surprised you could tell.” Her tone was inquisitive, wanting to know how he had figured it out.
“I can recognise a Dullahan a mile off. I know your kind quite well.” He smirked, as though laughing at some inside joke he had only with himself. “Anyway, what’s your job?”
“I command the Demon King’s legions.” She told him. Ikari frowned briefly, but quickly remedied it.
“The legions that attack other peoples lands?” He asked. The Dullahan shifted uncomfortably for a moment, but quickly shook her head.
“No. I sent the forces to guard our lands. They do not actively attack villages or anywhere else.” She explained. “I, too, disagreed with Beelzebub’s way of doing things.”
“Oh, Amber. You should have told me.” Tin laughed good naturedly. The undead commander seemed to gain a blush, Ikari wondering if that was even anatomically possible with the fact she was dead.
“Well, call them all back here.” He instructed, giving the undead a look of surprise. “Call everyone back. Anyone who worked under the Demon King or who pretended to.” He looked back at the throne briefly.
“I’m going to make a speech.”
