I have an important question for my readers:
I was (am) releasing this as separate books. My reasoning is that I sort of love kindle unlimited. My current plans were to release the first book to KU Once I started releasing book 3.
KU has weird rules, though. They demand exclusivity, which meant I would have to (temporarily or permanently) remove Book 1 when it got published there. So I kept the books separated rather than combined in volume format, so I could just remove them when they got republished.
The question is, should I go ahead and repackage them in volume format? It will reduce the ratings on this book, since the last one got a bunch of .5's from forum trolls when I said something they didn't like.
But, if it would make it easier for readers to catch up with, or to explore, or even re-read, I definitely will. My only concern is that as they get published to KU volumes will need to be removed from the format, which I am worried will make it incomplete and piss off new readers.
Or should I only release it on Kindle, and wait till the whole series is complete before removing it and stuffing it onto KU?
Anyway, I have a poll below, or if you have suggestions on how I should do it, I am all ears. I am familiar with KU, but I haven't tried moving things from open release to private release before.
