It was chaos. The battle had suddenly become absolute chaos. Loki gazed with hatred as his army is pushed back to the waters of the beach. The enemy had used some outrageous explosive weapon to blast a massive hole in the army's formation. Smoke filled the air at the blast sight, the scent of burnt flesh permeated the battlefield as the screams of the injured and dying sang their sorrowful melody.

"Damn them! This was meant to be my chance to show father how much greater I am! I got here before Thor and I established the first beachhead! When I get my hands the one that caused such a massive set-back I will...!" Loki seethed with immense fury. He had an immaculate plan to curry favor with his father, Odin. His plans were met with disaster in the very first stages after such a promising start.

"Order the troops to regroup and retreat to the north!" Loki had grabbed a nearby officer and commanded whilst gritting his teeth. As commanded, the panicked officer began yelling out commands with a magically enhanced voice. The army commanded by Loki began to once again show a semblance of order and unity as they refocused their efforts into a defensive formation and began to slowly retreat whilst fighting.

As the army retreated, the human army abruptly began to attack with more fervor and confidence. Loki was soon able to see why. In the distance to the south approached an army of heavily armed and armored Demons. The appearance of reinforcements gave the human army yet another boost of morale. This was far from a battle that Loki's forces could win any longer. No longer hoping to turn the tables on the humans, Loki ordered a full retreat.

Although this location was critical for taking in the survivors of Freya's forces, this battle was now beyond manageable. Freya's forces would be on their own now.
