《Cliche?》Chapter 34: Awesome Force

“You cannot pass, fiend!”
“We, of the Awesome Force, Will stop you here!”
“We are the righteous fury of demons everywhere!”
“We are elite among the elite!”
“Rue the day you crossed us!”
“... I already ‘rue’ this encounter…” I swear, if I were an anime character I would have an enormous, no, many veins popping out of my forehead. I feel like my brain is just going to… pop. Before me stood fully armored demons. Each demon wore a different colored armor, meaning they were from the different general’s forces.
What irked me, however, were those cheesy lines, and their absurd choreography as they stated them. I swear to god - to Zahramiik even - if they summon giant robots or magically transform somehow I’m going to destroy this entire wall…
“Can you just get out of my way? I really don’t have time for this…”
“Impostor, you will not get away for assuming Lord Veloth’s image!” The one wearing white armor at the center of their comically stupid choreography, one of Pride’s soldiers, stubbornly refused.
“I’m flattered, really, but you are testing my patience with your ridiculous poses…” My patience was indeed teetering on a blade's edge with the sudden appearance of this group.
“Wha- RIDICULOUS!? I’ll have you know, our excellent teamwork and choreography strike fear into the hearts of our enemies! It is a sound tactical advantage-”
“It looks like a comedy act to me… More so that name… Awesome Force?”
“... NOW YOU’VE DONE IT! Awesome Force! Assemble manual golems!” The Awesome Force members changed their poses, calling out some cheesy name here or there, such as Earth man, Cosmic man, and the like. As they did so, Large golems of various garish and bright colors matching their armors rose from a secret entrance beneath the wall of the castle…
“Pilotable golems? That does it. I’m saving you fools for later.” I swear I felt a blood vessel in my eye pop. I created a dimensional space, and a vortex of wind in front of it. The Awesome Force were at least competent enough not to be immediately swept into the dimensional space, holding onto whatever was nearby. Two had latched onto nearby soldiers who were then swept up along with them into the dimensional vortex.

“Quira! Eaan! Damn you, impostor! You will pay for this!”
“No, you will be the ones to suffer, fool.”
I increased the power of the wind vortex, dragging the remaining three in along with the various objects they clung to such as cannonballs, cannons, and ballistas. I’ll return everything later, but not before I’ve dealt with these fools. In fact, I’ll rename them. The Fool Force. I’ll come up with individual names for them later.
Just as the last of the Fool Force was swept inside, I sealed the dimensional space. Simultaneously, there was a quake and an eruption blowing out of one the castle’s thick walls.
“There you are, Myria. I have some guests for you when I manage to find you.”
The scuffle with the Fool Force had caused the rest of the guards to fall back enough to give us space. I took the opportunity and teleported to just outside the explosion’s radius. Before me was absolute chaos, the center of it definately being Myria.
Swarming around Myria, flinging various spells and using unique sword techniques and martial arts, were all seven generals of sin. Among those fighting were even my other three fiancees. The explosion seemed also to catch Surt’s attention, and I could hear him coming towards the castle from the other side of the castle. Likely, Kel’thul was with him.
Surprisingly, Myria was holding her own against the rather large and powerful group.
‘Not considered the natural predators of gods for nothing, I suppose...’
“Indeed, although it’s obvious she does not have much combat experience, she is doing pretty well.” Zahramiik commented.
Myria was forming some rather dangerous spells, many of which could destroy the castle should Lust fail to counter one appropriately, although Lust was doing very well with her counters. In fact, countering was all she was doing at the moment. Was she so hard pressed?
“Out! I’m out! No more!” I saw Zavus run screaming, many of the items he wore were breaking and scattering as he did so. He looked exhausted, and nearly nude.
… This has gotten out of hand. I am definitely going to punish Myria… Hope she is not a masochist. Well, for the first step, I had to end this chaos. I amplified my voice with magic, and…

“Enough! All of you, STOP!”
I called out with a voice far louder than even I intended. The reactions were mixed and not quite what I expected…
“Veloth!” The first person to recognize me, even in this form was Viridi.
“V-Veloth… That form…” Next was Myria.
“Impostor!” That was Pride… I am becoming very annoyed with being called impostor…
“Cute.” Was Lust’s reaction.
“I want one of those…” Said Envy, staring at my tails with twitchy hands.
“Waaaaahhh! Lord Veloth! The Kitchen! Ira Blew up the Kitchen!” Gluttony was just bawling among the rubble of the destroyed room they had been fighting in.
“It wasn’t my fault damn it! Tell them Veloth! You saw it, right!?” Ira was already refuting Gluttony with a terrified and clearly guilty look upon his face. He was probably afraid of the punishment Kel’thul would meat out to him for this…
“Veloth? If you are, prove it.” Sloth just demanded proof of my identity. Easy enough to provide... Right?
“Veloth? That’s actually not a bad look for you.” Sival called out, broad smile across her face.
“Nya~, you don’t need to try to imitate my father, Veloth. I like you for you, Nya~.” Hahnu purred loudly… She was clearly pleased…
Before I could respond to anyone, Pride was suddenly in front of me, sword raised.
“Die, impostor!” … Pride always seemed pretty well in control of his emotions, yet now he was clearly ‘jumping the gun’ and reaching foregone conclusions, acting very rashly. He reminded me of my very recent experience with the Fool Force… Clearly he needs punishment as well.
“Veloth!” all four of my fiancees called out simultaneously, earning Myria a glare from the other three which she returned steadily.
Even with time seemingly slowing around me, my eye able to track Prast Pride’s every movement, he was still very fast. His sword came down swiftly, forcing me to leap to the side of his swing. He immediately went for another strike at my side before he finished the full arc of his swing. I couldn’t dodge this one, so I strengthened my hand and caught his sword.
“Impressive, impostor. Perhaps you may be a decent match for- guhhh.”
“You’re talking too much, Prast. I’m going to punish you severely for your actions. Prepare yourself.” I needed an outlet for this swelling rage and annoyance. My patience had long since run dry. I had struck Prast in the gut, denting his armor and sending him flying into a castle wall.
The wall splintered and cracked, bits of shattered stone falling to the ground.
“You won’t defeat me so simp-” Past got up and began to prattle again, to I teleported in front of him and landed another blow to his gut. This one sent him through the wall, into a dark room beyond.
“Ah, before I forget…” I opened in front of Myria a dimensional space and vortex like I had used on the Fool Force. She had only the barest moments of surprise before she was sucked into the space without any time to resist. I don’t know how long the dimensional space can hold her, but it will do for now. At least, long enough to meet out punishment.
I heard Prast coughing heavily as I entered the dark room, moonlight sifting through the dust at the hole now at my back. I enhanced my vision with magic, now able to see as clear as day in the dark room. Prast was trying to sit up, his armor caved in at the stomach. I could hear broken ribs rubbing against each other as he struggled.
“You know Prast, You are pretty tough. It only took me a single strike to break Surt’s arm, and he’s a giant. I guess the Dragsul deserve their reputation.” I said as I approached him, throwing a healing spell projectile at his midsection. He was fully healed, but his ribs were still broken.
“Oh dear, seems I ‘forgot’ to set the bones…”
“Heheheh, you definitely belong to the dark side.” Zahramiik commented.
‘Shut it.’
“Y-you. You really are Veloth!” Prast coughed up.
“Too late to notice. Accept your punishment.”
I raised my fist yet again…
