《How to get lost: a wanderers guide》Vomitiarrhea, it's a thing

Hello again.

Sometimes I wonder if I am blessed or cursed. I laugh when on one is joking, and I joke when no one is laughing. I may not know where I am from or what I have done. But I know exactly who I am.

I am a man. A feeble and fleeting blip on a wider world than I can comprehend. I walk my path. Not looking for the light of knowlegde. Not seeking an end or an answer. I do not walk because I have a destination. I walk because to stand still would kill me. Death is not a stranger to me. I have brought it to many in the short time I have been walking.

I do not consider death to be anything but a transition. A change of state. A new journey begins where the old ends. I am as unknowing of where that path leads as I am about this one. A journey of discovery. A path into the unknown tread by all.

It is this belief, formed haphazardly as it is, that leads me to go to new places. To try new things. Danger is nothing but an advertisment. Hazards are just scenery.

So I guess that is why I thought it would be a good idea to eat a giant glowing purple fungus I found in the sewers while Lena and I were looking for Julius. I don't regret it so much, but I do think I could have given it more thought.

Blood is seeping from everywhere. My mouth, nose, eyes, ears, and every other hole. Even my skin bleeds. Lena is crying, but she is a strong little girl. She is washing me with cleansing and healing waters. Purified from the scummy streams of the sewers we are still in. I should make this up to her somehow. A toy? or maybe some candy?

My tingles are running rampart through me. Tearing at this unknown entity that is ravaging my body. I think they are winning.

Note to self: don't eat glowing fungi.

It didn't even taste good! Earthy and dry. It is a mystery why I ate the whole thing.

Today started so promisingly too. I was hiding in the garden practicing stealth tactics with Lena in the garden when we stumbled across a burrow. The scorch marks and size indicate it is probably Julius'. We figured he is down the burrow so I muttered a quick apology to Tara and we started digging. We were in the middle of a thick, uh, thicket of bushes. So when Tara came walking past with company we froze. Wary of being caught vandalizing the prized garden of our host and food giver.

Luckily she seemed very distracted. She was walking with Commander Ludo, mister Cain, and a lady with a very swollen chest. They were talking in hushed tones and the bubbly Tara seemed serious and repressed. Some words were bandied about. red-bull-lion, was mentioned a few times. I wonder what that looks like. A Horned Crimson Cat? I found a book of drawings a little while back. It shows some animals and the sounds they make respectively. A bull is a large hairy animal with cool forward curving horns on its head, and a lion is a big cat with a scarf and large teeth. They go moo and roar. Moooar? Sounds like a fun critter to me.

Ah! I think I know what shape I will be making the Ivers Dream into later!

Anyway, they passed us so we kept digging. We hit the sewers after a bit and followed the trail of burnt rats and people. They were all cold so Julius came through here a while ago. Aftdhfng, oops. Some blood dripped on the pen and made my fingers slip. Interestingly enough any blood that hits the pages of the Journal just rolls right off. Very convenient that.

Where was I? Right, we followed the trail. It led us deep into the sewers. Strange twisted things started to appear. Rat-like men with full body hair and fangs, and things with long boneless arms that have spikes poking out of them. All burned pretty badly. These weird things became weirder and weirder as we followed Julius' tracks until we reached a wide open room that had been cut out of the original sewer.

The gunky water still flowed down the middle of it, but on either side were numerous rows of shattered glass tubes. All big enough to hold me comfortably. Sitting in the middle of them was a burned carcass of a human. Surrounded by the charred remains of some weird mixture of bones and flesh. Mostly unidentifiable between its warped nature and the severe burns. The occasional humanlike head would pop up here or there along its bulk. Weird. We left the mess alone. No idea what it is but it definitely doesnt have a 'touch me, touch me!' feel.

A little further along the river of sludge split into two paths. No burn marks gave away Julius' path so we went down the right handed one. It was a dead end and sitting at that dead end was the stupid glowing purple fungus. It was about knee high, darker purple glow on the gills and bright violet on the cap. The stem was a red-purple color that looked pretty tasty.

So I ate it. And now here we stay while I deal with the consequences of that action.

Ugh, I feel another bout of vomitierrhea coming on. I will have Lena take cover while I hop into the water to keep all the crap in one place. Poor kid.

Well, she did say she was bored. So I guess that isn't an issue at least.

Goodnight, I doubt I will feel like writing after this. It feels like a doozy.
