《How to get lost: a wanderers guide》Boom

Hello again. You know what is the best part of exploding a mountain?
The view from where the blast launchs you.
From up there I could see the ashy whirlpool where I got the tinglewood. The burnt islands Julius overthrew. Even the pirate fortress we started from.
But what really takes the breath from my lungs is the wall of storms. A swirling black mass of lightning and rain splitting the world. On one side are the seas and their pirate kingdom infested islands. On the other? A mystery.
Naturally we are going there!
I suppose I should write about how we blew up a mountain huh? Yeah that might make sense.
Well it all started a few days back. When Julius set a course for a huge plume of smoke. Well we arrived today.
After breakfast I started another round of training with Lena. She is a very fast learner. Julius seems to derive great pleasure from blinding me at the worst of moments. I had my revenge though.
I gave him a bath. Heh, he hates those.
After apologies were exchanged we spent the next few hours fooling around, and frolicking about on our boats. We chased each other and the occasional pirate about. Julius sunk three pirate ships and has started his own loot pile. His favorite treasure is a massive soft cushion he has placed upon his throne aboard the Tyrant. It is super soft and squishy.
Lena prefers making a big wave tip the pirate ships over and then running over the escaping pirates in her Mirage. She shows a lack of interest in gold and instead gathers gems. Mostly pearls. She has them adorning the neck of her swan prow and studded along the railing of the Mirage. She seems to really enjoy ramming pirates.
After lunch we saw our destination: a burning smoking mountain.

It was so beautiful.
Rivers of molten stone flowed down from its peak. Sending steam and smoke into the air as they enter the sea. Fires spread across the formerly lush sides of the mountain clothing the entire mountain in shades of red, orange, and black.
We rowed our ships up a river of molten rock to reach the top. Why? Because we could.
Julius led the way in the Tyrant while Lena and her Mirage stowed away inside the Ivers Dream. She isn't as big a fan of fire as Julius and I.
Not many are.
The shimmering shivering air gave the trip up the mountain a bizzare beauty. Making distance and color shift and blur.
I assume Julius was distracted by the oddness of it all. Because he rowed his ship into the hole on top of the mountain. He let out a surprised squeek as the Tyrant was carried beneath the earth on a red glowing river of melted minerals. I rode the flow of molten stone down after him.
It was fun, I had to mold and shift the Ivers Dream a few times to make it through some narrower passages.
Julius was fine, just a little disoriented from his sudden fall, and munching on some glowing mushrooms when I found him. Little glutton. I was fishing the Tyrant out of the molten stone when the mountain started to rumble and shake.
Hurriedly I snatched the Tyrant into the hold and reformed the Ivers Dream into the sturdy spiked ball of protection that worked so well before.
Something hit the bottom of the Ivers Dream and we lurched upwards. Until we wedged into a narrow part of the tunnel our new spherical shape couldn't pass through.
The rumbling and shaking grew more intense. It started getting hotter and smellier. Then the rock above us gave way with a CRACK!

We shot upwards. Until we hit the next choke point. This series of sudden stops and starts really rattled me around. Finally the last of the offending stone gave way.
BOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!
I seem to be around huge explosions a lot huh? Is that normal?
We shot up so fast my vision began to turn black. I nearly passed out before that odd feeling of weightlessness surged through me. I puked from the sickening sensation.
We began to fall. I formed a window and saw the world from a new height. Both Lena and Julius had passed out.
The mountain was mostly gone. Just a smouldering stub left at the foot of a cloud of ash.
We fell alongside quickly cooling stone. As we neared the fast approaching waves I molded the Ivers Dream into a sleek dagger-like shape. Cutting deep into the water before bobbing back to the surface.
I wonder what would have happened if we had landed flat on the water?
I checked on Julius and Lena, they were fine, before setting out for that storm wall.
As the sun sets on another day I look forward to the adventures of tomorrow.
Goodnight.

The overall story is pieced together through the perspective of the characters presented, first + third person narrative styles because I enjoy reading novels with similar storytelling. Please feel free to provide any comments and constructive criticisms for me because I love to read what you think so I can continue to improve on my imperfections and make the story better. Cheers!
