《How to get lost: a wanderers guide》Maritime adventures begin

Hello again. Today I set sail.
So far I have not sunk. Which is very encouraging.
As I was running out of material I decided to put aside my interesting ideas and just make a normal boat.
A simple rowboat with a patchwork sail sewn from the moldy remnants of the pirates ships once great sails. I made it simple but sturdy and proceeded to haul it up the mountain. When I reached the top I secured the mast and prepared to fly it down to the sea for a test cruise around the mountain.
Julius cheered me on with the occasional fireball to the face when I started slowing down. Nothing like a fireball to wipe away the sweat and add some pep to your step!
I got it down, set up some oars, and started rowing.
Long story short it works.
It may be a little leaky, creaky, smelly, and stained, but the Ivers Dream is finished and seaworthy! I took her for a few more laps around the mountain. Julius settled himself on the prow and squeeked imperious orders. Directing our new flagship mightily across the bitter seas.
After we stopped having fun and just became wet and tired we had a late lunch and set a course for the nearest island.
It is an unnamed, uninhabited, spit of land with three small islands forming a circle around the center one.
It should normally take at least two days but I wager we'll get there tomorrow. I am cheating you see. Every few hours I will hop out of the boat into the waters, and grab a hold of a long sturdyish rope tied to the prow. Then I will start flying and tow the boat behind me. I can't go as fast as I would like since the speed from rocketing would smash Ivers Dream to smithereens against the waves but at least we are moving faster than just the sail or oars could move us, and when I get tired I just rest on my lovely little boat.

I don't have to swim which is awesome since three times already today horrifying creatures from the deep have taken a shot at me when I am in midair. Bursting forth from the waves in a glittering show of water droplets and sharp teeth. Quite pretty actually. Aside from the last one. The flat slither was dinner. The fat fish is breakfast. And the unnameable horror from the abyss is toast.
I stowed the tasty bits of the fat fish in my satchel. I suppose the offal I threw overboard was what drew in the unnameable horror. Which is as indescribable as it is unnameable. Just an amalgamation of teeth and appendages in no particular order. Pulsing and squirming muscles beneath a multi-hued hide of scars and blistered skin.
Julius reacted faster than me for that one. I had hardly regretted looking at it before he bathed it in stream of fire, and it popped like a zit. Gore and crusty gunk splattered all over everything. Both me and Julius quickly turned the crud on ourselves to ash and washed that away.
Then I had to clean the boat by hand with some musty sail as a washcloth. I am so making my next ship out of something inflammable. Much easier to clean that way.
Night fell as it tends to. Alongside the fall of the sun the stars arose ,and I set course as I they guide me. Now I guess I will try getting some sleep.
I have a good feeling about tomorrow.
Goodnight.
