Characters:
Spoiler: Spoiler
Sam's knowledge base has been clarified and made consistent.
Most characters have temporarily been removed to evaluate their contribution to the story.
Magic:
Spoiler: Spoiler
White magic has been renamed "Command Magic" to better reflect its actual meaning.
Meta Magic has been clarified and is no longer a "grab bag." It has also been renamed "Non-attributed Magic."
The Law Magic subschool of Command Magic has been renamed "Barrier Magic."
The Buffing Magic subschool of former White Magic has been renamed, reworked, and moved. It is now Body Reinforcement Magic in the Non-attributed Magic school.
Item Creation has been moved to the Command Magic school, due to its overwhelming similarity to computer programming.
System-assisted casting has been removed.
The Conjuration subschool of the former Meta Magic has been removed.
The Divination subschool has been added to the Non-attributed Magic School.
Mind Mana no longer exists, but it's functions have been rolled into Non-attributed Mana.
Magic can now be loosely and informally divided into two groups. Elemental and Highter Elemental schools require relatively high INT and relatively low WIL, due to their high mana costs, and can be considered INT-based spells. Non-attributed and Command spells require much less mana, comparatively, but involve a great deal of WIL, allowing them to be broadly categorized as WIL-based spells.
Skills:
Spoiler: Spoiler
Dynamic Skills have been de-standardized and reshaped to fit the individual profiles. Static Skills remain unchanged.
World:
Spoiler: Spoiler
Dungeons have been added to the world!
Slight tweaks have been made so the world is less of a libretarian wet dream.
Unfortunately, in what continues to be an affront to everyone with taste, morals, or economic savvy, slavery remains extant.
The word "fuck" has been removed. It will be replaced by another expletive with a similar meaning shortly.

Hereditary nobility has been removed; that shit don't make no sense. In a more real-to-life move, "nobility" will now be those with sufficient strength and wealth to declare themselves so, until their descendents squander said wealth and get overthrown by someone else with sufficient... etc.
Multiple hidden functions have been added to the menu.

Spoiler: Spoiler
All monster spawn points have been moved to dungeons.

Monsters have been painstakingly categorized and reworked.

Catalyst: The Ruins
The year is 605, and in your home— the country of Corcaea— the souls of mankind belong to demons. A phenomenon known as the "Catalyst" is what's to blame. This diabolical phenomenon lurks within every man, woman, and child. It can turn any human into a demon, if they fall prey to one, all-consuming element. It can be anything. Fear. Grief. Generosity. Even love. In a land where Gods are real and Corcaea's theocracy is the last hope for mankind, you follow in the footsteps of Father Richard Anscham: a troubled young priest, the leader of the Church of Mercy, and the foremost researcher of the Catalyst. Deep-dive into the ruins that cover the land with nothing but your dog and your faith. Search for the cure. Conquer your personal demons. Welcome to Catalyst Quest! A "quest" is a collaborative storytelling medium in which readers get to vote on the story at specific points. As this is an archive, the prompts that were included with the original run of Catalyst have been stripped, and the story is presented like a traditional novel for your reading convenience. If you would like to read Catalyst in its original format or participate in current events, you can find us here, on Sufficient Velocity. This book is complete! If you're looking for the next installment in Catalyst, you can find Catalyst: Avowed here.
