No one seems to like the gods in my story. I feel so sad. Since there's so much hate for Becket being under the gods, I'll speed things along. A few things I originally had planned may change now. The reason I didn't follow the class poll was because I'm more swayed by comments. Most of the comments wanted different classes. Just to let everyone know why I picked mana adept as his initial class was because the guy who left the class in the comments also came up with misdirection which I liked. The magic that came with it is why I decided to use it. I also didn't think it really matter since he's going to be switching between classes anyway.

Chapter 47
****************Ofhena POV****************
Ofhena:"He needs to hurry up and make me a body."
I looked down onto the unconscious vessel lying in the bed. There was no longer a soul inhabiting it since I just sent him back.
Ofhena:"You make us waste so much energy."
I turned around and walked toward the bedroom door. It opened for me and I passed through it.
Lissoth:"How was he?"
In front of me was a young boy around 10 years old with short blue hair. He wore a purple shirt with black pants and boots. His eyes were two pools of total darkness.
Ofhena:"I don't think he likes us very much."
Lissoth:"Good. The more anger and hatred he feels the longer we have."
He motioned for me to follow him.
Ofhena:"If we push him too far it could end badly for us."
Lissoth:"We don't have a choice. If we didn't have his emotions to draw energy from we'd already have vanished."
Ofhena:"He's starting to like some of the people around him. Can't we feed off those feelings yet?"
Lissoth:"Not yet. His connection to them is still too weak."
Ofhena:"He's not a complete idiot. Eventually he'll realize his anger towards us keeps vanishing."
Lissoth:"That's a good thing. Learning the truth will only make him angrier and give us more energy."
We reached a pair of large double doors. Lissoth easily pushed the heavy looking doors open with one hand.
Ofhena:"What if he decides to be spiteful and kill himself. You know we don't have enough energy to revive him."
The room we entered was filled with comfortable looking chairs and couches. Large pillows were scattered everywhere on the floor. The temperature was slightly warm, but there was a cool breeze blowing through the room even though there was no window for it to come from.
Lissoth:"That's why we have a back up plan."
Ofhena:"Yes, but the back up plan won't allow all of us to survive."
Lissoth plopped down onto a chair much larger than he was. I sat on a pillow lying on the floor across from him.
Lissoth:"We no longer need to worry about Esyn and if it's necessary we can abandon Oteus. The rest of us should be able to make it."
Ofhena:"I would prefer all of us surviving. Oteus too."
Lissoth raised one of his eyebrows.
Lissoth:"You're not still loyal to him are you?"
I lowered my head.
Ofhena:"Of course not. I just feel it would be a shame to lose one of our comrades."
I raised my head to see his reaction. It looked like he was about to say something when the doors we entered from suddenly swung open.

Haarus:"I felt a surge of energy! You must have riled him up again!"
A large man with bulging muscles barreled into the room. His brown hair and beard were both obviously unkept and he wasn't even wearing a shirt or shoes. His dark blue pants were the only thing separating him from being nude. The muscles on his chest twitched as he walked up to us smiling.
Lissoth:"Don't waste it Haarus. We're not sure when we'll be able to get anymore."
Haarus:"Don't worry don't worry!"
He waved his hand at Lissoth as if he was blowing his warning off.
Lissoth:"So is there a reason you're here or are you just trying to annoy me?"
Haarus:"Of course I have a reason! I was just checking up on Oteus and he's obviously weakened!"
Lissoth narrowed his eyes at Haarus.
Lissoth:"He used up some of his reserved energy? What was he doing?"
Haarus began scratching his head.
Haarus:"Don't know, but it must have been something big. He's pretty weak right now."
Lissoth closed his eyes for a few seconds. I knew he was trying to figure out what Oteus did. His eyes shot open.
Lissoth:"Solomon's ring is missing from the treasury! That bastard sent it to Becket didn't he!"
Solomon's ring. A magical item that can put anyone under your control. It was equipped with a safety measure that requires two people to use it. Both the holder of the ring and the holder of the master mark must agree or else the ring is useless.
Lissoth:"Shit!"
Lissoth picked up the chair he was previously sitting in and threw it into the wall sending pieces of it flying all over the room.
Lissoth:"If Becket has that ring we're fucked! Kill him! Kill Oteus!"
Ofhena:"No! Please wait!"
He spun his head around and glared at me. I flinched under his gaze.
Ofhena:"Th-This can still be turned into a good thing."
He stomped over to me, who was still sitting on a pillow on the floor, and grabbed my throat.
Lissoth:"How?"
His face was so close I could feel his warm breath on my cheek.
Ofhena:"W-We just need to win over the person he gives the ring to."
After I finished speaking his grip on my throat tightened enough to block my wind pipe.
Lissoth:"Then do it. If you can."
He released me and I gasped for air for several seconds before finally being able to whisper again.
Ofhena:"Yes sir."
Haarus:"Gahahahahah! He got you good!"
Lissoth:"Shut up Haarus."
Haarus:"Guuuu!"
Haarus fell over holding his hands on his crotch after Lissoth hit him there. Lissoth left the room angrily with his hands balled up into fists.
****************Becket POV****************
I selected the baby boomer class just to see if I could.
Becket:"Unbelievable."
My class immediately changed. I clicked on it again and the list of classes popped up.
Becket:"I really can switch between classes."
I switched back to Mana Adept then stood up.
Becket:"Sorry Gene but I gotta go."
I wanted to spend some time here and be a little lazy, but this glitch changes things.
Gene:"Alright see ya later."
He kept scrubbing the floor and just gave me a wave. I'd actually like to discuss this with him, but I can't mention classes or anything like that because of the magical contract.
The training field wouldn't be private enough so I exited the city and found a nice river to sit beside. A few monsters attacked me and got incinerated by a burst of flames or frozen solid. I don't want to accidentally die by somehow revealing information against the rules of the magical contract so isolation was necessary for the time being.

Death was not something I was in the mood for. My life may be under someone else's thumb right now, but as long as I'm alive I have the chance to change that.
My research began by equipping each class and taking a look at its additions to my current arsenal. Some of the classes would increase my stats, but not all of them. Every class did give me at least one new type of magic; however, once I switched to a different class that magic vanishes. Switching between classes in the middle of a battle just so I can use a different magic could be dangerous.
When I set my class as tamer, a tingle starting at my foot ran up my body. The masters mark was the source of the tingle.
*Is the masters mark why I unlocked tamer classes?*
It was just a guess, but I hadn't done anything that might give me a tamers class since coming to this world so maybe the mark is what unlocked it. How I got the class didn't really matter anymore so I decided to stop thinking about it.
The wanderer class was pretty cool since it gave me a magic that allowed short range teleportation. Endless Warrior had a magic that converted mana into stamina so as long as I had mana I wouldn't become exhausted in the middle of a fight. The Mana Warrior class had a magic that strengthened my body just like the magic I already learned from the gods.
Becket:"I wonder what would happen if I stacked both of those strengthening magics?"
I wasn't sure if I should select the Demon King class. It hadn't happened yet, but it's possible my mental state could be affected by one of these classes. I didn't want to actually turn into a demon king.
After a few hours of messing around with my classes and new abilities, I decided to finish up. Since Mana Adept was the class I originally picked, I set it as my class once again. I pulled out the two pills given to me by the gods. My decision had already been made so putting it off anymore would be stupid. I put the black pill away and held the white one up to examine it once more.
Becket:"Hope this doesn't hurt."
I popped the pill into my mouth and swallowed it. Since the pill was rather large, it didn't go down easily. A sense of warmth spread throughout my body. At first it was comfortable then the heat began increasing.
Becket:"What is that!?"
I could feel something squirming under my skin. It was a very uncomfortable feeling. I was covered in sweat from the heat my body was producing and I couldn't stop scratching. My clothes started to feel suffocating so I completely undressed and jumped into the river trying to cool myself down. An intense headache made it feel like my skull was slowly breaking open.
I thrashed around in the water trying to keep from tearing my own skin off. My fingers twitched at the thought of digging into my flesh and pulling out the snake like things crawling under it. One of them finally broke through the surface. A green vine covered in my blood tore out of my elbow and wound itself around my arm.
Becket:"Aaaahhhhh!"
The vines began sprouting out from under my skin in various places all over my body dyeing the water around me red. The vines finally stopped moving after my entire body was covered in them. The wyvern arm was the only part of me unaffected. The thought to tear the vines off was immediately dismissed since they were embedded in me.
There was nothing I could do except endure the pain so that's what I did. Shortly after the vines covered my face I blacked out. There was no dream while I was unconscious, but I did hear a strange sound the entire time.
I could feel the cool sensation of the dirt and hear the soothing sound of the river. My eyes slowly opened as I pushed myself off the ground. That strange sound was still thumping away, but I couldn't tell where it was coming from. My legs felt a little wobbly so I crawled over to the river in order to see my reflection.
Becket:"What is that sound?"
When I saw my own reflection, I felt slightly depressed. My hair had once again grown out and reached a little past my shoulder blades. It was still blonde, but there was a kind of white radiance making my hair glow and sparkle. My eye lashes seemed longer and my lips looked a little thinner. It wasn't a huge change; however, I looked like an even more attractive female.
Becket:"I give up. If I keep worrying about how I look it'll get me nowhere."
I resigned myself to always looking like a girl. There was no point in fighting it. In the short amount of time I've been in this world I was about to finally start building some muscle onto this body. It wasn't a lot of muscle, but I was still happy. That muscle was now gone and my body had a thin frame with no definition. As long as I covered up the thing between my legs I would look completely female. If I saw a girl that looked like me, the flat chest wouldn't even be a bother.
Becket:"Guess I'll get dressed."
It was a good thing I was still recognizable. Except the sparkly radiance covering my hair and the even softer feminine features, I still looked like Becket. Anyone that knows me could easily tell that it's me. The gods probably wanted me to still look like myself so that the girls they brainwashed could recognize me.
I pulled myself onto my feet and took a step toward my clothes. With each step my understanding of that strange sound became clearer. It must have been instinctual for a high elf. The sound was actually the planets pulse. Somehow I knew this pulse was a very important factor in using my new abilities as a high elf.
Becket:"Haaaa.......I better get back to the palace."
I sighed as I got dressed. My body was feeling pretty tired, but I needed to write a few letter before going to sleep so I hurried back.

Ocean Attuned - A timeloop LitRPG
In the mids of industrialization, Liana, a girl of almost twelve, awakens her flow and follows her newly awakened calling, the ocean, and thus the path of the last remaining god. With the advent of industry, one's status and the accompanying skills slowly grow to be secondary as people choose more recreational skills and classes. The clear exception are flow bringers. Humans with an increased affinity towards flow and attunements are the only real remnants of the age of gods and mysticism. Terrors on the battlefield, saints in hospitals, saviours during drought, are just some examples of the wonderous abilities they display. As civilization grows less dangerous so does the stress that is often associated with the awakening of the flow reduce and only the real talents remain. Please be aware that this is a first draft at best. Tag/Genre analysis: Action: A theme that will appear in the story at some point (probably 15+ chapters in) Adventure: Yes Fantasy: Yes Magic, Beasts, and other fantastical elements are totally at home here. Tragedy: Life is not always fun. For what is fun when there are no downsides. I don't know how heavily I am going to lean into this genre. I want to but don't expect too much. Loop: Yes, though I will not divulge anything else. Just be aware that there isn't nearly as much looping as in MoL for example. Female Lead: Yes, Liana is female. Dungeon: Yes, there are dungeons. Yes, they will get explored. LitRPG: Yes, read the first chapter if you want an example. Magic: most definitely because who doesn't like calling lighting down from the heavens. (Disclaimer: No actual lightning will be called down from the heavens) Mythos: There are gods. So maybe, I don't know if that is enough to qualify? Progression: yes Slice of Life: There is plot, and the story will mostly be about that plot, but there will also be downtime because there can't always be action. The first "loop" especially the first 20-30 chapters will be heavily SoL. And afterward there will be a lot less. Profanity: The ocean (see title) includes sailors and we all know how the stereotypical sailor is. Gore: Hmmm, some but I will have it be not graphic at all.

The Paths of Magick
Credits: Story by Xcaliburnt. Cover Art by @Bervolart. Magick, the power to bend the laws of reality. All because of a mystical substance known as mana. Mages follow the Paths to achieve power, for there is no more addictive chase. Each Path winds and twists, forcing mages through the flames of adversity and challenge. Though the operative word is "path", the reality is far less straightforward. Instead of a road, Paths are like the branches of world trees, erupting into the heavens, intertwining, and ending in sharp snaps. Only the strongest reach the sky. There are several Paths, and many Ways to walk them—variations of the same Path, and like the stars, they are endless. Magick is the sacred flame that scours the fat, rendering the truest self. Superfluous flesh melting away to show the skeleton of one's being. A chance for ascension—apotheosis. Though not every mage works to godhood, if they survive long enough, It is inescapable. Witness the lives of those that tread the knife's edge of self-destruction. Each one intertwined in their search for answers, revenge, and, most of all: power. These individuals have all lost something precious—irreplaceable—and In search of filling the void left behind, they have taken up the mantle of a mage. Per aspera ad astra. Ad mortem vel divinitatis. (Through adversity to the stars. To death or divinity.) There is no consistent release schedule except my consistent inconsistency. Besides, there’s like a thousand pages worth of content, how can—you already read it? Goddamn. Oh, and there is a very long hiatus between volumes as I intend to edit and rewrite a lot. What to Expect: This story is progression fantasy, so expect a healthy dose of training. It's also heavy on slice of life, and it isn't entirely overarching-plot-driven. Expect characters to live their lives, and not always be on some quest to save the world. There's a lot of magic theory and discussion about it in the story. So, if you don't like impromptu lessons on sorcerous theory by traveling monster slayers, this might not be for you. But if you do like it, rejoice! For there is a lot of it. This is also heavy on prose, purple as a bruised eye. I use outdated, uneccesarily collegiate-level terms and play around with the writing style just for the heck of it. I find it fun to wax and wane poetic, and that might grate on you—I don’t plan to change this aspect of the Paths much if at all. Onto the viewer discretion is advised parts: This is grim-dark/ grim-heart. Take the tags seriously. There will be combat scenes that are brutal and horrifying. Fights to the death tend to be. This is a tale about medieval mercenaries (quite literal killers for hire), man-eating monsters, and eldritch gods beyond the material plane. Beside that, there will be traumatic events that are best left unread. I do not detail certain acts I find heinous enough, instead leaving some parts unwritten but still alludded to if not outright stated; there is simply no graphic narration thereof. This is not for the faint of heart.
