Chapter 41
**************Goblin Joe POV*************
The new king has been born. His strength is unimaginable. I've never seen anyone as strong as him.
Goblin King:"It's time for us to rule!"
Goblins:"Yeeeeeaaaaaah!"
Goblin King:"This land was meant to be ours!"
Goblins:"Yeeeeeaaaaaah!"
We roared in unison as our king spoke to us. It was finally time to take vengeance against those humans always hunting us. Some of the elder goblins tried to convince him that fighting humans was pointless. According to them the previous goblin king attempted the same thing and suffered for it, but they just don't understand our current kings strength.
I may only be a month old, but I know unbeatable strength. There is no way our king will lose against any human. The king killed the elders for opposing his decision. We all cheered as he removed the only obstacle in our way of fighting the humans.
A few days passed and more of our brethren had gathered. Our numbers were greater than anything the humans could possibly muster. After all they only ever attack us in small groups. There's no way they could summon this many of their own kind.
Goblin Jane:"Haaa!"
Goblin Joe:"Haaa!"
One of the female goblins prompted me for sex so I agreed. Strength wise I'm directly under our king so this happens often. I've already had one kid, but that was with one of the human women we captured. I already lost track of which young goblin was my son. When we impregnate women they usually give birth in a week so our numbers increase rapidly.
The human women are more enjoyable so after I finished with the female goblin I went to visit our current captives. I was fond of the one that had given birth to my child so I decided to impregnate her again. To my disappointment she was already dead. Most of our captives either kill themselves, starve or one of the young energetic goblins get too rough. I settled for one of the other girls.
I was about to impregnate her when I heard fighting outside the cave. Quickly I ran out to see the king fighting a small group of humans. In order to keep our numbers low the humans constantly attack us and for some reason steal the ears of our dead.
Our king was the first in many generations to become a hobgoblin according to the dead elders and displayed his strength against foolish humans that came to hunt us. They were easily beaten so my assistance wasn't even needed. I chuckled as he dragged off the female human for his personal use.
When the king finished he decided to begin the march toward the human settlements. The female humans were left behind since we'll be getting new ones soon. We all marched enthusiastically toward victory. Nothing could stand against us. Even after hours of walking we were all still filled with energy.
BOOOOOOM!
Explosions began to ring out all around us. Goblins began to explode into chunks of meat. One of the small pieces stuck to my cheek.
Goblin Joe:"Attack! Attack!"
Someone was attacking us, but I couldn't see them. There would be a break every few seconds before more goblins started to explode. Even our king didn't understand what was happening.
Goblin 1:"Aaahhhhh!"
Goblin 2:"Aaaaaahhhhh!"
Goblin 3:"Ruuun!"
Goblin corpses began to fly through the air from each side of our army. Two people were making their way through our forces by casually kicking my brethren around. The sight of these two monsters caused my mind to go blank and I ran away trying to ensure my own life. Luckily I slipped through everyone and made it to a hill overlooking the slaughter.

I could now see the two people flinging goblins around. One was a man with black hair while the other was an incredibly beautiful blonde woman. Normally I would feel lust for such a beauty, but the scene of her ripping goblins apart was a boner killer.
The woman continued her rampage in the middle of all the goblins while the man made his way to our king. I smiled.
*Foolish human. Our king is unbeatable.*
My smile vanished. The man didn't even notice when he decapitated the king. He treated him like any other goblin and didn't even give him a second glance.
*T-They're too strong!*
My blood ran cold. I just noticed that goblins haven't been randomly exploding in a while. Quickly I spun around to run from the battlefield.
Becket:"Where are you going?"
Standing behind me was another incredible blonde beauty. Her hair was short and one of her arms looked strange. She was also carrying a long black object. It was a strange looking thing and she had it slung over her shoulder holding it with one hand.
Becket:"Sorry, can't let any of you get away."
I raised my sword into the air and jumped at her trying to cut her stomach open.
Goblin Joe:"Die!"
She easily caught me with that white arm of hers by the throat. I could see scales on it like a lizard. My feet dangled as she easily lifted me into the air. All the human women I've come across until now were weaker than me so her strength was shocking. I could feel my windpipe being slowly crushed.
Becket:"Goblin bones are thicker then I thought."
SNAP!!!
*****************Becket POV****************
The wagon shook as it rolled down the uneven road. Bram sat in the coachman's seat while Carmilla and I were in the back. We were on our way to exterminate the goblins. It would probably take us another day to reach them.
I was watching Carmilla stare intently at the doll in her hand. It was a simple doll I stitched together and gave to her. Bram told me gifts would be the best way to get on her good side. We were going to be traveling together soon to the vampire continent so I wanted her to stop ignoring me.
The doll was a chibi version of her and she hasn't taken her eyes off of it since I gave it to her. Since the two of us have the same hair color I used some of my own hair for the doll. Now that I think about it I feel that it might seem a little creepy, but at the time that felt like the best option.
Becket:"So....do you like the doll?"
For the first time since getting it she looked away from the doll and towards me.
Carmilla:"It's me.......but smaller."
I slowly nodded.
Becket:"I made it to look like you."
She turned her stare back towards the doll. Watching her stare so seriously at the doll was kind of cute. I started thinking about all the girls I've met since coming to this world. For some reason they've all been rather childish. Aelisia who's the oldest acts like a carefree kid that likes to pull pranks.
*Maybe you regress in age mentally the older you get.*
The wagon suddenly stopped so I poked my head out.
Becket:"Something wrong?"
Bram:"No but it's about to get dark so I think we should camp here."
The sun was getting ready to set so I agreed. Of course Carmilla didn't help set up camp which didn't really bother me. It was a cloudless night allowing the millions of stars to be seen scattered across the sky.

As I laid by the camp fire my mind wandered to the past. There were many times I slept under the stars with the mercenary team I was apart of. We had to camp out for more than a few missions. Most of our work was done in war torn countries so there wasn't always a place to stay.
Some of them could be annoying, but I found myself missing those days I spent with them. Once again I tried to remember how I died. My memory just all of a sudden stops then starts back up again in this world. Why couldn't I remember my last moments? I know I was about to start a mission when my memory cut off. Did my team make it back? Was I the only one that died?
My thoughts continued to swirl around in my head until I finally fell asleep. My dreams were filled with the past, but something else appeared in them. Things and places I've never seen before.
I was in my original body walking in a forest. The sound of twigs snapping under my combat boots was the only thing I could hear. This didn't seem strange to me because I hadn't realized I was dreaming. The forest was dark then suddenly the sun broke through the roof of trees attempting to block it. I closed my eyes at the sudden brightness.
???:Hey, Becket! Play with me!"
I looked down searching for the voice. Attached to my leg was a little girl probably around 6 years old. She had long green hair and green eyes. She tugged on my pants trying to get me to come with her. I crouched down so that we were level with each other.
Becket:"Who are you little girl?"
She tilted her head and made a face that said she didn't understand, but it was quickly replaced with a smile. That's when I noticed she had pointed ears. She was an elf.
???:"Lets go Becket! Lets play!"
She tugged harder on my pants.
Becket:"That's not my name little girl."
I smiled at her, but she looked confused again.
Becket:"My name is....."
I jumped up. My body was covered in sweat and I was breathing hard. My head felt like it was about to split open. I had returned to Beckets body. The dream was over. I looked around the camp to see both Bram and Carmilla were still sleeping.
Becket:"What was that?"
Thinking about the dream gave me an ominous feeling so I put it out of my mind and started making breakfast. It wasn't long before we were back on the road. Carmilla was still completely focused on that doll while Bram drove the wagon. He was the only one in our group that knew how to. After a while Carmilla decided to speak.
Carmilla:"I want more."
She was looking directly at me.
Becket:"More?"
She held up the doll I made.
Carmilla:"More of these dolls. Enough to fill a small bed."
She was nodding to herself with a smile on her face.
Becket:"I don't think I have enough hair for that."
Carmilla:"No need to use your own hair. I want them all to be different."
I took a minute to think. This would give me something to work on. I also enjoyed making that doll.
Becket:"Alright. I'll make them."
She nodded in confirmation then went back to staring at the doll. Since she wasn't a great conversationalist I climbed into the front with Bram.
Becket:"You ready?"
He glanced over at me for a second then looked back towards the dirt road.
Bram:"I need no preparation for a fight against some goblins."
Becket:"They may be weak, but there's a lot of them."
I had only read the reports so I wasn't sure how strong they really were. It's always better to be cautious.
Bram:"No matter how many goblins there are I will not die by their hands. It is simply an impossibility."
Becket:"I'll drop it of you're so confident in your ability."
We were silent for a few minutes before he spoke again.
Bram:"Sister really likes that doll you made her. I heard you two talking. Will you make her one of me?"
He was glancing over at me trying to guess my answer from my facial expression.
Becket:"I doubt a doll that has a slight resemblance to you will make her like you more."
I wasn't trying to make him feel depressed, but that's how it turned out so I decided to change the conversation.
Becket:"So about the fight with the goblins. I think we should discuss our plan."
Bram agreed and called for Carmilla who poked her head in between us. I pulled out a map and placed it on the bench Bram and I were sitting on.
Becket:"It's a simple plan. I'm going to take up a position with a good vantage point. If the last report from the scout team is accurate they should be passing through here by the time we catch up to them."
I pointed to a spot on the map. Originally we planned to attack them before they even began marching, but they started earlier than expected.
Becket:"While I'm covering the two of you I want a blitz. You will run straight into the enemy army throwing them into disarray. Slaughter them while they're trying to reorganize their forces."
I circled my finger around the edges of where the army would be.
Becket:"This area is surrounded by hills so they will have a hard time fleeing. Anyone who makes it outside of your kill zone I'll handle."
I sat back up straight.
Becket:"From the reports I've read I'm sure the goblin king will be no problem to you two. Kill him the moment you find him. That should cause more panic."
The two nodded and Carmilla went back to her doll watching. This plan wouldn't normally be a good one, but with the strength of two vampires the plan didn't really matter too much. No matter how we attacked them there was no way the vampires could lose.
It wasn't long till we reached our destination. The goblins were a little ahead of schedule, but that was fine. Quickly we got ready to attack.
I took off my pack and pulled the sniper out of it along with the extra clip. They were fully loaded so I had 15 rounds before I would have to reload both clips plus one in the chamber. It was a semi-automatic sniper rifle so I'd go through each clip rather fast which is why I had my pack set next to me open so that I could reach in and pull out more bullets.
I laid in the back of the wagon with the rifles barrel sticking out. It was a covered wagon so I had to pull the cover over the back off. I got myself comfortable and set the spare clip next to me.
I looked through the scope and scanned over the army. They were only about a click away so I wasn't likely to miss any shots. Just to be safe I activated my vampire eyes. There wasn't much wind to interfere with my shooting so conditions were favorable.
*Maybe I should train Aria to be my spot. She could also reload the clips while I'm shooting.*
That last thought crossed my mind before we began the attack.
Becket:"Go!"
BOOOOOOM!
