《Greenskin》Chapter 15 - A Bahahahahahd Day

Grak and Steal were upon their new prey in mere moments, the fur-legged goatman managed to break free of ramshackle trap.
Sadly, it was too little, too late. Another arrow had been loosed, arcing over the goblin's head; the arrow bounced off of O'kay's horns, cracking one in the process; O'Kay would have been okay with an insignifcant break like that, and it would regrow eventually. What would not heal however, was the spear that was rammed upwards towards the Satyr, the sharpened flint head pierced the soft skin of his neck. The kind but cowardly Satyr could barely force out a last BLEET before Steal's spear punctured through the other end of his throat.

The goblin cackled, staring at his wide-eyed prey until his fresh kill was utterly still, Grak moved up from behind him, slinging his well-worn bow onto his muscular back before lifting the lifeless goatman's body off of Steal's blood-slicked spear.
Steal's current favourite tool-of-murdering (his spear) felt lighter and more wieldy in his bony little hands; the slowly-but-surely developing monster had realised that it was likely related to the new skill he had just got. Albeit the creature didn't know what a 'polearm' was, but he figured that his spear was one.
Just like before, Steal backed off as his much larger companion hauled their latest kill over his shoulder, fastening it tight around his torso with a length of twisted vine cordage. Admittedly, Steal cared less about the cooked meal he was sure he had just secured for himself for later; instead he was concerned about his soon-to-be meal's appearance. It looked remarkably like the humans he had fought before, but the horns that grew from the Satyr's forehead made him look different. Steal had never seen a human's bare legs, so he didn't think that the hooves or furry goat legs set them apart from humans, though he did understand that humans tended to wear clothing, which the Satyr showed none of, much like the hobogblin's and Steal himself.

"Grak, is this a strange human?" The blood-caked goblin looked up towards Grak, who was currently knelt over, retrieving the arrow that had ricocheted off the Satyr's horn.
"No, they are human and they are beast. Children of The Great Lady..."
"Great Lady make them? Will Great Lady be angry that you break what she make?"
"No... The Great Lady made many creatures, Great Lady is kind but also cruel... She make many creatures that kill each other, we only do what we do to live, like all of The Great Lady's creatures." The muscular hobgoblin nodded to himself affirmedly, finally having retrieved his arrow, he smelled the faint smell of smoke, coming from the soot-splattered calves of the corpse on his shoulder.
The hobgoblin spoke again "Little one, keep following, we go back later" With those simple words, he darted off, following the ill-trodden path that the Satyr had emerged from. Weighed down by the surprisingly heavy Satyr, Grak was a little slow and clumsy, lumbering forwards, having to stop every few dozen metres to unsnag the corpse's remaining horn from vegetation. Eventually, the hunter slung the monster off of his shoulder, resting the dead goatman's head on his knee, before gripping one of his muscled hands around the creature's bloodied throat, his other hand gripped it's curled horn. With all his might, Grak pulled his arms away from one another, griping with his hands so tight that they almost curled into fists.
CRUNCH
O'Kay's spinal cord snapped in half.
CRACK
The remaining horn tore off, leaving a bloody, bald hole in the dead Satyr's otherwise scraggly and overgrown head of hair.
Grak grinned to himself before pressing on, Steal followed. The two had begun making better time, with the now mutilated corpse being a lot more unintrustive, no longer snagging on the overgrown vegetation.
It wasn't until the hunting duo had came to a rocky overhang that the treeline finally parted, allowing them a better view of what was below.
And that was when they saw it, a thick plume of black smoke that rose from the forest canopy far below.
