“All this is basic information on the world. There aren’t any secrets that will cause the envy of the world, but of course, this knowledge is meant for Immortal Kings. Fu Li and Fu Ying, since you have reached the cultivation requirement, you can learn now. Langyu, it won’t take too long for you to reach the required stage of cultivation, so I might as well tell you.” Looking intently at the three, he began.

“The universe is divided into four sectors, each occupied by four faiths: Daoism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Demons. The Nineorigin Chaosworld is a part of the Daoism Sector and the cultivators embark on one of the many lineages of Daoist cultivation. I am a cultivator of the Sword Immortal lineage.”

As he said this, Heifeng Jiansui flicked his finger and images of immortals, buddhas, gods and demons seemed to flash. As cultivators, the three disciples wouldn’t be distracted by the moving images and become incapable of concentrating on his speech, but it would actually build up their understanding.

“The cultivation path usually requires cultivating the body/essence, soul/spirit, energy/qi and divinity/ faith. There are three great boundaries of cultivation: The Nine Steps of Transcensions, The Three Steps of Eternity and the Chaos Sovereign Boundary.”

Images of cultivators splitting mountains, cleaving stars and shattering worlds appeared, allowing the disciples to understand the powers of the titled cultivators.

“Now, I will talk about the Three Sectors. The images are important as well, have a look here.” Saying this, three images of buddhas, gods and demons formed.

“The essence of Buddhism is benevolence to all life. The core of Buddhism is the Buddha, all those who walk the path of Buddhism wish to surpass the ‘chains of cause and effect’ and the ‘cycle of Samsara’ to become one with the Buddha. The enlightenment they seek is not the truth of the Grand Dao but to become one with the Buddha they hold in their hearts. Their cultivation path requires firm belief in Buddha, having Buddha in heart and cultivation to become Buddha.”

“The essence of Hinduism is prayer and deification. The Hinduism Sector has myriad gods, all who refine faith into the power of divinity. The cultivators of this path hold the hope of godhood in their heart, and aim to become gods themselves. Their means and methods are the most unfathomable among the four sectors.”

“Finally, the essence of Demons is opposition of Heaven. Like Yin and Yang, as long as there is Heaven, there must be Demons. The fourth sector of the universe has myriad cultivation paths and thus, there are myriad demons. From ordinary beasts who awaken sapience and swallow the essence of sun and moon, corpses who awaken consciousness to become zombies, Fiends who are born at a almighty realms of cultivation during the birth of chaosworlds… at the highest apex lie Aeonians whose mere existence shatters ten thousand laws and bring the Dao to end. All Demons are multifarious and many formed! All cultivators of this path hold the Devil in their hearts, and cultivate to become Devils!”

“Buddha, God and Devil. These Three Religions follow one path: Divine Ascension. The path ignores the three energies of essence, spirit and qi concentration on the mysteries of faith and divinity. That path isn’t fated for you who have taken up the Sword Immortal lineage, for your destiny is of ‘Seeking the Grand Dao’. There isn’t any need to know more.” Upon saying this, all the created floating images disappeared without a trace.

“This information is fairly ambiguous but this will be enough for you as you won’t be encountering true Buddhas, Gods and Devils. All you will meet will be fakes until you become peerless and invincible, leaving this small Chaosworld to dance on a greater stage.” Saying this, Jiansui glanced at his students.

“What I can teach you about Gods, Demons and Devils is only this much. But as Daoist cultivators who have accepted me as master, your true path is that of Sword Immortals. Let me tell you of the Great Way that surpasses the idol worship of Buddhas, Gods and Devils, a path that leads to the Truth!” When he said these words, Heifeng Jiansui did not need to summon images. Instead, his words caused fantastic scenes to appear in the hearts of his disciples!

“The essence of Daoism is the Grand Dao, the truth of the myriad laws. Thus, we Daoist cultivators are also called ‘truthseekers’. The cultivation of body, spirit and qi along with meditating to achieve enlightenment on the truth, these two are what Daoist cultivators ceaselessly strive for.”

“Daoist cultivation is divided into two paths: the Righteous Path and the Evil Path which branch out to countless lineages.”

“The Righteous Path is the path of seeking the Dao, the Truth. Cultivation of the Talismans lineage, Confucian lineage, the Five-Phase Element lineage, Gu Bug lineage, Heavenly Fate lineage, Seven-Star Weapons lineage and the Sword Immortal lineage that we follow are some of the myriad paths, all bent on seeking the Heavenly Dao. It is a difficult path to follow, but reaching the end of it guarantees unparalleled power. Especially our Sword Immortal lineage which is peerless for its attack power.”

“The Evil Path is the path of seeking power without Truth, a power that is ultimately empty. The most famous of these cultivation lineages are the Ten Thousand God Worship lineage, Heretical Buddha lineage and the Heavenly Demon lineage. These lineages ape the cultivation paths of the Three Sectors. Their achievements are said to be limited, but their cultivation way allows faster speed and thus, followers of these lineages are higher than the Righteous path.”

“As for myself, I am a Sword Immortal cultivating the Quintessence Sword Dao which is known among the entirety of the Daoist Sector as one of the highest among the Sword Immortal Dao. I minor in the Five Phase Elemental lineage by cultivating the Nine Origin Elemental laws which grant this Chaosworld its name. Also, I do have some little comprehension of the Heavenly Fate lineage, but don’t ask me to cast your fortune, I specialize in something more… unorthodox.” Saying this, Heifeng Jiansui brought the lecture to its end.

Upon his lecture finishing, the mysterious force straining the hearts of the three girls seemed to disappear as the images within them disappeared.

“This much is enough for basic information. You can ask me a question, but only one.” Saying this, he glanced at the three disciples.

Fu Ying was the first to ask. “Master, don’t there exist Daoist Gods like Lady Nuwa, Subhuti who walked the path of Buddhism and Daoism together and Sun Wukong, the demon monkey who achieved the Dao?”

“That once happened in the Golden Era of Daoism, an era where the cultivation path leaded to Immortality and Godhood. That era has long ended, and the anecdotes and stories that remain are thought to be idle ramblings of cultivators who fondly think of a lost era.” Saying this, Heifeng Jiansui did not even bother forming images but only sighed. “The cultivators of the Evil Path style themselves Daoist Gods, Buddhas and Demons, but they fall short of those of the Golden Era.”

Fu Li asked next, “Master, what of the force of divinity or faith? I don’t think we Daoist cultivators cultivate this.”

“It… isn’t fated for us of the Righteous Path as reaching the peak of our path allows refining of Truth, a energy that far surpasses faith and divinity. As for the power of faith and divinity, only those of the Heavenly Fate lineage cultivate it and I minor in that path as well. While I had some achievements in cultivating it, it is entirely useless for battle. Gods, Buddhas and Devils can primarily cultivate faith so we Daoist cultivators face a disadvantage in battle. As for Evil Path cultivators, they are only fakes and fall short of the originals.” Saying this, he shook his head.

Even though Heifeng Jiansui hadn’t mentioned much, the fact that Daoist cultivators faced disadvantage against opposing Sectors meant one question had to be asked. And now, that final question remained…

“So… Is there a possibility of war erupting between the Four Sectors?” Langyu’s gingerly asked.

“No. If an all-out War with a Sector occurred, the Daoism lineage has defensive means. However, attacks on the Chaosworlds on the outer realm of the Daoist Sector fly by. But only the most confident powers of the Three Sectors will dare to invade, as the suppressive force of the entire Sector will fall upon the intruders. Ordinary Chaos Sovereign level existences will be suppressed to Perpetual Emperors with it.” Saying this, Heifeng Jiansui glanced at his disciples. “As you would expect, our Nineorigin Chaosworld is on the outer realm of the Daoist Sector.”

“Heh, you want to know about the battle between the Black Dragon that ended the past era and me, right?” Smiling at concealed excitement in their expressions, he began.

“The existence who attacked was a God from the Hinduism Sector. She destroyed Chaosworlds and refined the energy of the existences she slaughtered into divinity. At the moment she battled me I was a 3rd stage Perpetual Emperor and her power was on the level of a 3rd stage Chaos Sovereign. I broke through and slaughtered her anyway, but since I could not deal with the wounds of the battle that she inflicted with her divine power, I decided to reincarnate. The Sword Immortal lineage is known for its peerless battle prowess for a reason and I fully expect you three who are my successors to match up as well.” Saying this, Heifeng Jiansui glanced at the three disciples, causing their determination to traverse on this path to rise.

There were many things concealed about the battle, but it would only hurt their faith on the path they had embarked on. And so, he kept quiet.
