《Sword Immortal's Rebirth》 Chapter 68: Quintessence Sword Sect (1)

‘Nineorigin… I want to request something of you. Take me to the Ninelight Stellar Circuit. Let me walk through the ruins of my proudest legacy.’ Heifeng Jiansui’s words were simple, and the tone was cold but he seemed to let go of a world of sadness with the tear rolling down his cheek.
Nineorigin wasn’t sure how to respond to that. He was after all the strongest person she had known, at his most vulnerable moment. So she didn’t even try. Grasping his hand, she immediately called the force of teleportation to warp him to the Ninelight Stellar Circuit.
Shocked by the sudden teleportation, Heifeng Jiansui took a while to stabilize himself on the atmosphere-less asteroid he found himself on. Beside him was Nineorigin, and he found himself overlooking a line of 9 bright sparkling stars.
They both were standing on an asteroid overlooking the Ninelights that named this Stellar Circuit. From this vantage point, the vastness of this Stellar Circuit that surpassed galaxies could be seen.
“The Ninelight Stellar Circuit covers 27% of the Chaosworld, surpassing even the size of 100 galactic superclusters. In the previous era, you refined this place with your Quintessence Sword Qi, allowing only your disciples to enter. The restrictions even stop me from entering…” Nineorigin seemed quite depressed as she said this.
“How strange. In the previous era, the Ninelight stellar circuit was the largest stellar circuit, but it only covered 16% of the Chaosworld… The space occupied by the Chaosworld must have multiplied due to the birth of a World Spirit… By the way, the Chaoseed I congealed was primarily based on the Sword Dao. It should be easy for you to access it…” Heifeng Jiansui’s tone was cold, with a hint of nostalgia.
“Ahaha, sorry I forgot about that!” A sharp sword aura emanated from her. “It seems so easy when you say it, I wonder how I ended up ignoring this…”
“Its okay to forget… I wish I could forget so many things, but I wish my memories may be everlasting in eternal remembrance. Let’s go then. Get on the sword.” Nineprime flashed and Heifeng Jiansui stood suavely on the sword’s blade. Gingerly, Nineprime stepped behind him, grasping his sleeve.

With a single thought, the supreme sword turned into light and entered the Stellar Circuit. Over the nine stars, a nine colored streak of light flashed…

Even though he could activate the power of teleportation in this domain, the allure of flying upon a sword was too much to ignore.
Because, the joy of flying upon a sword, passing through distances that were sizes of galaxies in a blink, was better than reaching the apex of cultivation.
Long ago, when he was a mortal, he saw a white robed beauty flying atop a sword. That day, the desire to fly himself took root within him. And thus, the Heifeng Jiansui of countless years ago embarked on the path to becoming a sword immortal…
As he flew, he familiarized himself with the regaining his authority of the being the master of this dominion. While analyzing the myriad information entering his mind, he searched for human life force.
Only two spots shining like stars emanated, the sign of Immortal Kings.
In a flash of light, Heifeng Jiansui flew to the spot, entering the most central of the nine stars and flying inside. Without paying attention to the marvelous scenery, he immediately entered a gate that swung open at his arrival and flew into a vast tunnel.
The two forms should have sensed his arrival, as they immediately flashed towards Heifeng Jiansui. Thinking that his task became easier, he increased his speed.
The moment two figures entered his eyesight, he dropped off the flying sword along with Nineorigin. Perfectly coordinated he and Nineorigin, they stepped onto the ground.
Nineorigin falling behind, Heifeng Jiansui took the front. Grasping Nineorigin, he pointed it at the two figures. In response, the two of them…
Immediately kneeled down and banged their heads thrice in repentance.
“Honored Sect Master, us two sisters mistook you for a intruder and nearly attacked. We deserve a thousand deaths…!” With the aura of plum and cherry blossoms, the two girls kneeling before him were identical twins. Looking at their exquisite faces, he didn’t recognize them.
A million years ago after he exited seclusion to battle the Black Dragon, on the wreckage of a Great World he found two little girls who had fortuitously survived. At that time, he sealed his Perpetual Tree Sprout containing his complete Quintessence Sword Codex within their bodies and teleported them to the safety of the Ninelight Stellar Circuit.

At that time, there were a few survivors of the battles that consumed the Great Worlds holed up in there.
These disciples whom he had fostered and nurtured were all dead. It wasn’t anything unnatural. Those who stayed back in this world were the weakest and the least talented, and thus their lifespan was limited as well.
They had died naturally and peacefully. Even so, he couldn’t quell his sorrow.
Witnessing the survival of these two kids whom he had randomly saved who were simply strangers to him over his nurtured disciples, Heifeng Jiansui felt misdirected dissatisfaction and anger fill him.

“Fu Ying and Fu Li… It’s been a million years since we’ve met. Back then I was a Perpetual Emperor and you were mortal children, now I am a mortal child and you are Immortal Kings. As they say, even oceans will turn to mulberry fields…” Heifeng Jiansui faintly sighed, his voice powerless like an old man. He raised his palm, gesturing the twins to get up.
The two twins before him bowed once more before raising themselves. They carefully observed Heifeng Jiansui’s mortal figure and the mysterious woman behind him.
Meanwhile, Heifeng Jiansui took the opportunity to observe them as well. The only difference between them was Fu Ying’s cherry pink hair and Fu Li’s plum whitish-pink hair. With silky hair, pleasing face, ample bust, curvy figure and long legs the twins were peerless beauties. But of course, at their cultivation level, the body would be pleasing to the utmost.
The other half of beauty, their temperament and demeanor seemed lacking. They hadn’t had much life experience other than cultivating in this desolate world. This would be no advantage to them.
“How long has it been since the last occupants of this place died? And how long has it been since your breakthrough…” At his question, the twin named Fu Yi with her strawberry-red hair answered.
“Sect Master, we broke through together a decade ago. As for the disciples, all but the Deputy Sect Master died a century ago. The Deputy Sect Master sealed himself in a Blood Era Stone, saying that he would be awaiting your arrival…” The girl’s voice was quite fearful. After all, the first and last time she met him was as a mortal child long before.
“Take me then… Shui Yan, I will meet him one last time.” Heifeng Jiansui briskly walked as he thought about his misfortunate disciple who was crippled and lost his battle power, relegated to dying with a chance to oppose fate.
The two girls led Heifeng Jiansui and Nineorigin to a secret room where a large blood-red stone rotated by itself in the centre.
In the middle of the stone was the unconscious figure of a long haired old man. Seeing his fast asleep expression, Heifeng Jiansui felt a hint of warmth within himself burn.
Without asking, Nineorigin struck out a finger, and the Blood Era Stone turned into dust. The man sleeping within immediately awakened. Seeing Heifeng Jiansui, he immediately knelt before him and struck his head thrice.
“Disciple is too incompetent, failing to greet Sect Master. I deserve 10,000 deaths…” The long pronouncement of self-derisions was stopped by Heifeng Jiansui’s words.
“You don’t seem that you will last the night. Since it’s like that, don’t waste time with idle words.” Saying this, Heifeng Jiansui helped the old man up.
“Since we only have a night, let’s make it a night worth remembering! For farewell, we will share some drinks together… By the way, Fu Li, ready the bottles from the cellar. Fu Ying, take us to the wine room.” Saying this, Heifeng Jiansui crudely ordered the strongest disciples of his sect while holding up the old Shui Yan whose life was due to run out.
Heifeng Jiansui helped the old man and with Nineorigin following behind, the two followed Fu Ying’s instructions to the wine room.
After a long time, he had luckily made it before his final disciple’s death. He would certainly discharge his duty as a master, letting him reincarnate to his next life without any burdens in his heart.

The Weather Vane
This is the first few chapter of my new book available on Amazon. The beginning is very light and fun, but more mature content comes later. From medieval fantasy to ultra high-tech to dinosaurs, The Weather Vane is a grippingly fast-paced adventure full of fun and excitement, literary flourish, and colorful characters. A group of ascendant masters find themselves in the afterlife and learn that they are newly recruited into the cosmic battle of good versus evil. Before they can join the fight, shipwreck strikes and they are lost in the ether. Stranded in a magical land beyond the reaches of the universe, The Weather Vane follows our crew of heroes as they try to piece things back together even while The Dark Lord’s forces march, maraud, and murder at every turn. Themes of darkness chase the overall levity of The Weather Vane which suffers not a lull as the climax begins near the beginning of the book and drives on through the greatly satisfying finish. The most epic of epics.
