《Sword Immortal's Rebirth》Chapter 45: Cultivation Arts

Emerging from the Skytemper dimension, Heifeng Jiansui went to Qinglan Weiwei to demand food. The diligently cultivating maid immediately left her practice and started cooking plates of delicious food for her master.
One plate… three plates… five plates… ten plates… Qinglan Weiwei was surprised to find her master polishing off 30 plates filled with food before his appetite was satisfied!
“Eating food like this after three weeks feels amazing! Weiwei, how is your cultivation going?” At Heifeng Jiansui’s enquiry, Qinglan Weiwei began faithfully reporting,
“The strand of Life Qi was highly compatible with my inheritances. I ended up using up that strand while cultivating them…” Weiwei seemed a bit morose on exhausting a good fortune.
“Take this, then. This will last you for the month or so…” Heifeng Jiansui flicked a finger, forming a radiant green light and fusing it with Weiwei. The maid was astonished to find such abundant Life Qi entering her! A single strand was enough to bring her benefits, so this was like receiving an entire sea!
”Young master, this unworthy one thanks you for bestowing such good fortune! I will certainly keep up with your expectations!” As usual, Weiwei bowed to him.
“Weiwei, I will grant this Life Qi to the other maids as well. Even if they cannot use it to accelearate their cultivation, it will at least act as a lifesaving aid. Call them up here.” Heifeng Jiansui had a ridiculous amount of Life Qi, enough that he didn’t resent casually granting it to his novice cultivator maids!

“…And this here is a manual allowing you to grasp revolving this Life Qi, using it to attack and heal.” After imparting them and explaining the characteristics of Life Qi, Heifeng Jiansui granted the five girls before him a manual he had written himself from the various manuals in his possession along with his own experiences.
All the girls were dazed on receiving this good fortune, enough that they couldn’t react to his words. Life Qi was something Life Desolation cultivators refined by risking their lives and they were getting this for free? Wasn’t this too unbelievable?
“If you run out, come and ask me. Feel free to use it as you desire. Well then, I have said everything that needed to be said and thus it’s time for me to leave.” Without waiting for them to thank him, Heifeng Jiansui simply left.

When the girls awoke from their daze, their master had disappeared from their gaze. After giving away the Life Qi that was like water to him, it was now time to take care of the problem of the lifeless island!
+++
Even though the villagers of the island knew that the amount of the beasts in the island had dropped, there wasn’t any hue and cry. This was all due to prior preparations set up by Heifeng Jiansui. Rumors had been spread out that all the beasts had fled into the depths of the island. Regularly, beast meat was sent to the island so that the villagers could sustain themselves.
However, sustaining this state of affairs would be difficult. So, Heifeng Jiansui was always planning to send a horde of beasts to populate the desolate island. Since the Mobile Estate granted to him could sustain life, flying off to remote areas to kidnap beasts, bundling them off in the estate and dropping them off in the island was his plan. But the arrival of the Skytemper dimension was an unexpected fortune!
His master had been considerate enough to stock the island with beasts. Most of them were mighty beasts with prominent bloodlines, including beasts with dragon and phoenix blood. Using his knowledge of ecosystems and beast territories, Heifeng Jiansui dropped off the beasts in the Ninebless Phoenix Island!
From phoenix chicken and dragon lizards to true phoenixes and dragons, all kinds of wondrous beasts were dropped in the island. The island had Phoenix Spiritual Veins and a True Dragon hibernating in its origin, so the conditions were apt for raising them. The formation set up on the island prevented the beasts from entering the village and mobile estate and also from leaving the island.
With the beasts covering the island once more, it would take around three more months for them to acclimate to their new habitat. Heifeng Jiansui could set up more formations during this time to help their breeding and purify their bloodlines as they lived, bred and died.
But that wasn’t important now. The problem of beasts had been settled. Thus, it could be ignored for now.
Heifeng Jiansui returned to his mobile estate and entered seclusion once more. It was now time to explore the inheritance of the Skytemper dimension.

“To begin with, I should eat all these books!” Staring at the Great Library containing all the forbidden scriptures gathered by Skytemper throughout his long life, Heifeng Jiansui felt avarice. Not much time had passed since the day when he finished off the Ten Thousand Sword Palace’s library, and he felt hungry for more.
Even in his previous life, Heifeng Jiansui had gathered all the manuals he could and spent time comprehending them. After he became a Perennial Lord, he openly knocked on the sects of the top sects and went through all their scriptures. After his breakthrough to Perpetual Emperor, there wasn’t one sect whose manuals hadn’t been under his eyes! As for the other Perpetual Emperors, they certainly didn’t mind having their youngest go through the arts that they had perfected through their eternal lives!
Due to the changing of the Heavenly Dao with the Chaosworld’s rebirth and the dawn of a new era, majority of the techniques of the previous era were rendered useless. But Heifeng Jiansui followed the Dao of World as well. Someday, he would create a World within himself with a Heavenly Dao of its own, and the knowledge that was unusable shall be usable once more!
Flip, flip, flip…Heifeng Jiansui flipped through books one after the other, swallowing all the knowledge and eternally imprinting it within his mind. All the writers of these books would certainly be crying tears of joy if they knew the final Perpetual Emperor of the Primordial Era was reading through their manuals!
As expected, the majority of the books were about forging and alchemy. Other than that, formation arts and talisman creation arts dominated. Other than that, there were large amounts of body tempering arts. Weapon techniques and battle formations were prominent. And demonic spells and sigils that were hard to find were among the archives as well!
Heifeng Jiansui did find a few techniques that he needed. Rare arts dealing with Void and Chaos were within this library as well as bloodline and battle spirit techniques.
Time passed reading through manuals after manuals without food or sleep. Finally, Heifeng Jiansui finally reached the ultimate secret within this library. The manual had pages of Dragonskin which was teeming with Life Qi which meant that a unfortunate dragon had been skinned alive for it! The laws of Slaughter and Destruction could be sensed from the manual’s title, ‘Black Annihilation Chaotic Art’.
The first page of the manual proudly proclaimed, “Human who has chanced upon this manual, know that the creator of this art is the Black Destruction Dragon who was born of the chaos of this era’s arrival. Taking interest in the cultivation path of humans that differs from beasts, I have penned down this art on a whim. This art cannot be practiced by the creator who is a dragon! This art cultivates Chaotic Qi formed by the power of Desolation! Cultivating this art leads to a path differing from the world, a path that forms enmity with the World, a path that leads down to Tribulation after Tribulation, a path of chaos and destruction!”
Intrigued, Heifeng Jiansui read on, comprehending page after page. This manual carefully described a cultivation path of tempering the body, spirit and qi with the power of tribulation, step by step ascending through the Nine Steps of cultivation, until one could nurse the Chaotic Qi and breakthrough to become a Perennial Lord. There were quite a few mistakes due to the writer not being human which would normally impede cultivation, but Heifeng Jiansui was easily capable of fixing them.
The Black Destruction Dragon was clearly a beast who had inborn talents in Slaughter, Destruction and Chaos. The cultivation art he made displayed all these laws and merged them together!
Reading the manual, Heifeng Jiansui understood that Skytemper’s Longevity Creation Ninephase Art was certainly inspired by this technique. After all, opposing laws could provide inspiration as well.
Black Annihilation Chaotic Art, Longevity Creation Ninephase Art… both these techniques were opposing each other. According to conventional through, harmonizing them together as one would bring great benefits, but it seemed utterly impossible.
However, Heifeng Jiansui’s Dao was the World, and it included Creation, Destruction and Chaos within it. His path would be to unify the disharmonious truths into one path!

The fallen (?) hero and Aži Dahāka's soul fragment
I have to apologize.A certain real life problem that I thought I got rid of has caught up to me once again.I tried to continue writing, but my mind was not in the right track to do so and thus, as some people had said, the quality of the latest 2 chapters had turned from the usual "bad" to "worst". So, I reluctantly have to say that I will be away until I can sort things out.I can't say when, but I do intend to return to writing. I might lurk around to read other people's works though. I will be turning my attention to stories with "tragedy" and "despair". The five of us were summoned to this world from our clubroom two years ago to be made as heroes.Shouldn't forceful summoning like that be counted as kidnapping?Well, we chose to go with the heroes route. After harsh training and battles, not to mention all the killings, we finally defeated the demon lord. However, all those achievements literally became nothing, it wasn't just forgotten, it was erased to be totally nothing as even the written records were somehow being disposed of. I was too naive. Who would have thought that the side we have been fighting alongside with, the side we were fighting for, was the one to bring our demise? After I had to see everyone else turn into nothingness, somehow... I alone survived. Note: I will attempt to fix the grammar problem with the help of lieutenant colonel fletterman. This may delay the release of future chapter. Chapter 1 is fixed. Chapter 2 is fixed.
