“I … am a beast born during the start of the era, when the world was reborn. My name is Leishen Meilong and I am a Thunderfire Dragon. I noticed the nirvanic rebirth of a phoenix and saw that the dimensional walls were weakened so I smashed in. As for the pearl… I encountered it 4 years before, but despite all my efforts I couldn’t understand any of its secrets. It seems to be an inheritance of some sort, but it tries to escape me because I am not suited for it. So, I kept on chasing it…” Her voice had turned even sweeter and had some sort of hypnotic effect which was utterly useless against him.

As she spoke, Heifeng Jiansui figured out the composition of her bloodlines. 85% was a fusion of various draconic bloodlines, with the Fire and Metal elements as the majority. There were some strange, rare bloodlines like Devouring and Dark Dragon as well. But the 15% of the blood… was that of a phoenix. A White Phoenix at that.

“And where does that 15% Phoenix bloodline come from? How many White Phoenix clansmen have you eaten?” Heifeng Jiansui’s voice had the shadow of killing intent within it.

“I swear I didn’t kill a single White Phoenix clansman! I encountered the true White Phoenix and she luckily bestowed me bit of her blood!” At the girl’s plea, Heifeng Jiansui smiled.

“Of course, the White Phoenix ancestor is one of your friends. Similarly, the Five Supreme Dragons are pursuing your heart as well. Not only that, the Nineyuan Sect’s Leader owes you his life. So if I want to keep my life, I should immediately release you and cut off one of my limbs as payment, right?” The killing intent emitted from Heifeng Jiansui seemed capable of freezing the dragon’s soul!

She immediately nodded. Heifeng Jiansui picked up her body immobilized by seals and carried her to the platform under which the core of the 999 Phoenix Nirvana Domain was resting. Reaching into her spatial ring, he took out a Thousand Year Coffin, an instrument that acted as a space where one could meditate in peace.

Placing her helpless body in that coffin, he once again reminded her, “If you dare arise from this coffin before the thousand years have passed, I will cut you down. I am going to set up formations to monitor you, so do not think you can trick me. If I am in a good mood, I might just release you earlier but that depends on luck. Rest, then.”

At his command, the girl followed his instructions and began the technique. Her body, soul and qi turned dormant and began to converge in a vortex. Finally, her consciousness entered the vortex. At this moment, all signs of life on her body ceased. The technique was successful!

Closing the lid of the Thousand Year Coffin, Heifeng Jiansui left it under the platform above the core of the formation. His scheme had succeeded!
