The pain of learning the skill quickly turned into excitement as a blue screen appeared with information on the skill.
Summon Skeleton: Rank E Spell Cost Dark spell used to reanimate a nearby corpse's bones into an undead servant with low power.
Mana (5).
WillPower (1).
‘I can have up to twenty five skeletons right now with my amount of willpower’
‘Need a corpse dam it, I really want to see how it works’ Thorin thought dejectedly. ‘I need to kill someone before I can even use it, by then I could be easily killed.’ ‘ Couldn’t Cynar given him a better spell?’
‘Cynar should be out of commission for a while now.’ Thorin thought ‘I am kind of glad he is gone, he was help and all but seemed a bit of his rocker’ ‘I mean I probably would be too if I was dead for a century.’
‘What to do now?’ ‘What do I need?’ Thorin thought while using his mind to reach into his dimensional and pull out a large sack and backpack.
He started to go through each of them. The sack contained four water skins, a large amount of hard round biscuits, some smoked meat and a blanket. The backpack on the other hand had, matches, a medical kit, a change of clothes and a dagger. Thorin attached the dagger’s sheath to his belt and left the dagger there.
Feeling more confident now about his survival status, Thorin decided the next thing he need more than anything at this moment was information. He couldn’t remember anything yet and needed some answers.
He walked down to the nearby road, and stopped. ‘Which way should I go?’ ‘Downhill, that way I could find a stream or river to replenish my water supplies if I run low.’
Decided on his direction he started walking. The road was straight and after an hour or so of walking it entered a forest. On either side of the road was a large amount of foliage, and thick trees. After walking for another four hours the sun started to go down behind the tree line. Thorin stopped and found a small clear area next to the road. The grass was pressed down and there was a circle of stones for a fire.
‘Mostly likely a rest spot for merchants or hunters, recently used too.’ Thought while he started gathering sticks to make a fire. After managing to get a decent sized fire going using one of his matches, he sat down on a nearby log and started to massage his aching muscles.
Stat Increase + 2 Stamina + 1 Agility
‘Wait I can get stats from just doing things?’ Thorin said happy with his progress.
While he was sitting there resting he heard a branch break behind him. He saw a glint of light and a small green body running towards him.
Thorin in a panic threw up his arms before it collided with him. He felt a sharp pain in his forearm was knocked of the log next to five with his attacker on top of him. The creature attempted to stab down with its weapon towards his throat, but Thorin managed to grab its arm. It pushed down harder using both of its hands causing it to press dangerously against Thorin throat.

Unable to use his other arm due to a large amount of pain, Thorin started to panic as the he felt a drop of blood run down his neck. In a last ditch effort Thorin with the aid of adrenaline force his injured arm up despite the excruciating pain and punched the creature in its head.
While it was momentarily stunned he threw his weight to the side and rolled so half the goblins body was put into the nearby fire. The creature shrieked as it dropped its weapon and broke away from Thorin. Thorin got up from the ground and quickly pulled out his dagger as the creature attempting to put out the fire. While it was distracted Thorin ran in and tackled it wildly stabbing its midsection.
Thorin screamed wildly as he repeatedly stabbed the creature's body while it wailed in pain. Blood gushed everywhere and covered both of them. He continued to stab it for a minute before he finally realized it was dead.
He stood up shaking. His adrenaline rush left him and he suddenly felt weak and sick. Looking at the body and smelling the burnt flesh was too much for Thorin as he threw up. He managed to walk to over to his stuff where he promptly fell down and passed out.
Suddenly Thorin found himself in a classroom full of people that looked familiar, but he was unable to name any of them. They were all talking to each other in groups, laughing and having fun.
Thorin turned to a girl next him who was facing the other way
“Excuse me, can you tell me where I am?”
There was no response. Thinking she was ignoring him, he reached out to grab her shoulder. His hand just went through her shoulder like she didn’t exist. In a panic he reached out to the guy in front of him trying to grab him. He wasn’t able to.
He yelled out “Can anyone here me?”
None of the people in the room noticed.
After this Thorin had a revelation, that they weren’t the ones who didn’t exist.
He was the one who didn’t exist.
“Oww” Thorin yelled as he was suddenly woken up by a sharp pain on the back of the head. He quickly sat up and tried to find the perpetrator. He saw a bird flying away and realized it must have pecked him.
‘What was that dream, why was everything so familiar’
Hearing something behind him, he turned. There was a large group of birds sitting standing next to a small green body tearing it apart and eating it.
Thorin seeing this came to his senses and remember the events that transpired last night. Then also remembered his injuries. Looking down he saw a nasty mixture of blood and dirt covering himself and a nasty cut in his forearm. Standing up he yelled at the birds to leave. Once he did he finally got a chance to see the body of what attacked him clearly.
He managed to identify it despite the burns and missing flesh.
‘A goblin, there is probably more.’ Thorin realized
‘Better be careful from now on.’ He thought as he grabbed one of his water skins. Uncorking it he began to painfully wash out the wound. After getting out as much dirt as possible he opened up the medkit luckily there was a sewing kit and bandages. He was able to stitch the wound back up, but it took a long time and caused a lot of pain. He then wrapped his arm in a bandage to stop the bleeding.

‘I wonder what my HP is at now that I am injured’
[Congrats You Have Reached Lv. 2]
[Asign 5 new stat points.]
‘Great I leveled up’
‘Twenty-four HP gone just from that fight, what if there had been more than one?’ Thorin thought grimly
‘I am too fragile, right now and can’t use any other spells. I should focus on physical stats for now’
‘Add two to Vitality, add two to Strength, and one to Endurance.

‘At least I get to try out the new spell’
He moved back to the goblins corpse and began the spell. He felt much more familiar with this spell and could feel his energy leaving his mana pool and leave through his arm. The energy then reached the corpse and circulated around the bones. After a second or two Thorin could feel a connection between him and the goblin’s skeleton and branded it with his will. At this time the skeleton decided to remove itself from the body and tore it apart from the inside.
Created Undead Lv 1 Bone Goblin
The skeleton was the same size as the goblin before and stood there staring at Thorin.
‘I guess I just order it around and it'll obey.’
“Burn the body” Thorin order trying to sound authoritative.
Just like that the skeleton did. It picked up the pieces of flesh left over and put them in the fire.
‘Stop’ Thorin thought towards the skeleton as an experiment.
With Thorin’s command the skeleton stopped and turned back towards him.
‘Continue’ Thorin commanded silently.
‘Responds to my will not my voice’ Thorin thought happily.
Thorin also burned his bloodied clothes after changing into his spare set. ‘Don’t want to attract anything else’
While packing up Thorin found the goblin's weapon. “Take this he told the skeleton.
Silently the skeleton walked over and picked up the knife.
‘Does it even know how to use that?’ Thorin wondered.
Thorin commanded it to go attack a log near the edge of the small clearing.
Upon receiving the order the skeleton ran over to the log and swung the knife at it.
‘The damage wasn’t impressive, but at least it knows how to use weapons.’
After packing up everything and eating some of his rations, Thorin decided to get moving again.
He had the skeleton follow him in the woods, in case he meet anyone else. Hoping to find a town soon Thorin continued to walk down the road. This time though he wasn't alone.
After walking for an hour he grew bored. He commanded the skeleton back to the road with him. Thorin decided to pass time by testing the skeleton’s capabilities. It emerged from the forest and walked up beside him.
‘Stab my hand’ he commanded the skeleton.
The skeleton didn’t budge. ‘good I wouldn’t want my summons to be able to hurt me’
‘Do whatever you want to’
The skeleton suddenly walked in front of him and made him stop. It then reached out and took Thorin’s dagger from his belt and dropped his rusty one. It held it up against the sun like it was admiring it.
‘I guess the skeleton kept the goblin’s greedy personality’
“Give me that back” Thorin said while giving him back the rusty one.
For the rest of the day Thorin continued to test the skeleton while he walked learning its limits. He learned the limits of its strength, speed and reaction.
Overall it had about three fourths of its ability when the goblin was alive.
He learned a couple interesting facts. The skeleton couldn't do anything that Thorin or the goblin didn't know how to do. It could become a pile of bones with no purpose, and could reassemble with an order.
As the day came to an end, Thorin found a spot to set camp.
Due to walking another day, Thorin received another increase in agility and stamina for his efforts.
He pulled the materials need to set up camp from his storage demension and made another fire. Thorin started to relax, but was constantly looking aound the camp. Thorin learned hs lesson from last night.
Before laying down, Thorin called out to his skeleton.
‘Guard me while I sleep, wake me up if there is trouble’ Thorin commanded the skeleton.
He soon fell asleep on the side of the road due to his body's exaustion.
Once again Thorin appeared in the classroom. After trying to communicate again, just in case, he made his way to the door of the classroom. The door opened, and he walked through. A light blinded him. When he opened his eyes, Thorin found himself outside in graveyard. He saw a freshly dug grave and a blank gravestone in front of him. Curious, he stepped forward to look into the hole when the ground underneath him fell away. Just as he was going to fall to the bottom, he woke up on the ground at the side of the road covered in sweat.
