《Diary of Erica Kron》Day 38

The first thing I noticed when I woke up was the massive holes in my forest. Burnt to ashes and dust in many places. I still owned them, but there was nothing alive in there. I immediately got to work regrowing my trees.
I spent my morning learning from the older dungeon. The soul is still my best chance of dealing with the anger of the people in the least destructive way possible. I need to know as much about it as I can.
After that, I talked with the others about the situation.
The first thing I noticed was that Tiddol was an amalgam of flesh and wood and metal, more than half of her body has been replaced with clockwork. She took a beating, a really bad beating. She lost her right arm, her entire left leg and her right leg below the knee. And that was just her limbs. Her spine was broken in two, much of it turned into a powder, and many of her major organs were destroyed, including her brain. She should be dead, and based on the way her soul is clinging to her body, she came very close.
I could theoretically fix her, but I don’t have enough practical experience working with the soul to guarantee that she would survive it, especially not with how thin the shell of her soul is. Any attempt would likely damage her memories now.
Azrezel took a similar beating, but being an undead it isn’t quite as big of a deal for him. He’s still fixing up his injuries though. I offered to do it for him, but he wants to use it as a chance to practice healing himself.
Parius has some new scars, but out of everyone he came out the least damaged. Except for myself of course, but to be fair I am also very good at healing myself.

To no one’s surprise casualties were high, it was the ideal time for our enemy to attack and they knew it. Our own forces had been crippled by Willow, just saying that makes me irrationally angry, and we didn’t have much to oppose them with. It wasn’t until I showed up that the tide started turning, and even then I was barely enough to hold them off. It wasn’t until the nuclear fire wielders showed up and torched everything that the enemy finally broke, which explains the massive holes in my forest. They were even kind enough to remove the poison after they were done. It seems that they were really opposed to the idea of the only place in the world capable of dealing with the byproduct of their magic being destroyed.
In the end, half of our already crippled army has been killed, and a fifth of the civilians have died. This is a really major blow, we need to start working on fixing that as soon as possible. I guess I will really need to start leaning into the whole ‘creating life’ aspect of dungeons.
Countless of my children have also died, but being dungeon born creatures in their home I was able to fix that easily enough.
Ten of my paladins died, there are twenty-nine left. I should consider expanding them, especially with how effective they were. It’s odd though, when I look at them all standing together I swear I can count forty different souls.
My father is missing. He’s not dead, the scholars had one of those life tracking things made for him decades ago and it is still intact. The soldiers he personally trained are also missing with him. I’m not too worried about him, he competent enough to take care of himself.
It wasn’t all bad, we did manage to cripple their army as well. They likely won’t be able to attack us any time soon, at least not with anything that would be a real threat. In addition, we managed to kill half of the angelic council, capturing two of them in the process. Tomorrow I will pick their brains to see what we can learn.

Not everyone has been accounted for, notably, Tiddol’s children are still missing as is Askos. The guy that replaced Whisperer is also missing, though there have been reports of him going down in the fighting.
I spent most of the rest of the day doing my best to make sure all of the wounded got healed and making sure everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in. It was too easy, with so many dead.
After this, I don’t think that the war can end any way other than one of us being completely annihilated. Even if we were to make peace the people would likely rebel and go to war anyway. Their hatred runs too deep.
Anyway, Good Night Diary.

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.

Earth Ascension - Fantasy Adventure LitRPG
It’s a normal day on Earth when a powerful being triggers the assimilation of Earth and all living beings into the Ascended Universe, a frightening wall of light envelops the planet in order to drag it into a higher plane of reality. A place where abundant mana allows powerful magic and monsters to reside. The protagonist Dante wakes up in a dark cave with vague memories of his past life. He is confronted by a crazy, enigmatic and powerful being who sees Dante as his chance to escape his prison. Tasked with a grand trial, Dante is dropped on a planet he no longer recognises and starts his perilous journey through the Ascended universe. In this universe resides an omnipotent system that quantifies everyone's existence into numbers, it also assists people in becoming more powerful. Join the main protagonist as he is pitted against powerful monsters, Angelic beings, Demons and much more. He makes friends and loyal companions along the way, unfortunately, he also attracts the attention of powerful galaxy-spanning organisations that want to use his power for their own nefarious purposes. Forewarning regarding the start of the story. This story contains graphic descriptions of violence. The first few chapters of the book focus mostly on characters experiences and state of mind. The protagonist doesn't start off as a hero, he's distressed, confused, scared and struggling for survival. LitRPG elements are sprinkled throughout these chapters but aren't initially at the forefront of the story. If you're willing to persevere, the LitRPG elements and significant progression become more heavily intertwined with the story as they become more relevant. Thank you. *** What to expect *** This is a Fantasy Adventure LitRPG. There’s gore, swearing, bad jokes and lots of struggling. (I like to make the character earn his power.)Book 1: Covers the characters' experiences in becoming accustomed to this new reality. There are chapters that focus on survival and hardship. He starts with literally nothing, gradually he accumulates incredible power. He achieves his power through completing various trials and encounters in his journey to find out who he is, and what he wants in this world. There’s a focus on the mental state of the protagonist and an alternating pace of writing to allow character development to occur. The planned second book will kick off at a much faster pace with more action, focus on the system, and delving into the purposes of the Grand trial assigned to the main protagonist.I aim to deliver a world with Interesting characters, Monsters, Magic, Epic battles, Levelling, System interaction, Skill creation, Trials (Quests), Dungeons, Training and more. *** Release ****Chapters will be around 2000-3000+ words long, averaging 2.5k. I’ve almost finished the first book and am trying to edit and polish the chapters that are being released.I aim to release 3-5 chapters a week. Please enjoy.

A Beholder's Path
Hello, it’s me, Aether. As a beholder, curiosity is the driving force of my existence, which is why when I found a new world close to mine, I just had to tear a passage through spacetime to explore it. The rest of the demon world may or may not have used this passage to invade, but I am sure all the sentient races of that world would agree a demon apocalypse is definitely in the top ten best things that could happen to them. The Plant Dungeon
I wrote this a while ago at my website. It is a mix of cultivation/dungeon with a few LitRPG themes, but not enough to justify the tag. I am migrating it here, so I don't have to keep paying WordPress for the site. I will continue writing this. So... Now for the synopsis. Follow the life of an unusual adventurer who got turned into a dungeon. Well... that was short. I guess I would just suggest reading the first few chapters to see how you like it. (remember, if enough people ask for it, I will continue writing it.) I have no Idea who owns the picture I used for the cover. If you want it down PM me and I'll take it down.
