《Diary of Erica Kron》Day 255

Nothing new to report about the Solar Energy battery, it is growing exactly as I expected. Willow, the Ents, and a Hobgoblin Par recommended are going to check out a recently discovered dungeon about a day away from here. The Hobgoblin was apparently trained by Par, and though he isn’t as strong as Par he is much more durable. Par didn’t go because he wanted to stay with the soon to be the mother of his children. Everything should be fine, Mest is going with them as both a fail-safe and to take some notes on the recently discovered dungeon, so even if everything goes wrong no one will die. We have enough competent healers here that even if only half of them returns we can still save them, as long as they are alive of course. On top of that, the Ents could probably regenerate themselves from much less than that. I was talking to Tiddol today, our usual banter, when I noticed something odd. Her mana would periodically drain rapidly, before refilling and draining again. All that mana went to the two children and every time it happened it seemed to make Tiddol very uncomfortable, if not downright painful. So naturally, I offered her my help with that. I have both a much higher mana pool and a much higher mana regeneration than her, so it shouldn’t be too much of a burden. After she said that she would accept any help I could give I got to work figuring out exactly how I would give my mana to her. It was more difficult than it seems, I can’t exactly direct it to flow into her body, and even skin to skin contact doesn’t work, the mana just spills out into the ambient mana. Eventually, I did manage to figure it out, why don’t I use Astrie? I can modify it to move mana from a gemstone to me and vise versa, so why not from me to her? As it was already something I pretty much knew how to do I succeeded on the first try, much to the obvious relief of Tiddol. There were two problems, however, the first being the sheer amount of mana I could give her, it wasn’t much, the second was the fact that holding hands all the time is awkward. After some brainstorming and trial and error, we managed to figure out a solution to both those problems. I had Tiddol ride on my back. There was a bunch of Astrie connecting the two of us, more than enough to constantly transfer my entire production to her, which is much more than necessary. In order to actually carry her I made my armor boost my strength and my endurance, with that she’s light enough for me to carry around indefinitely. Apparently, the twins have been siphoning off practically all of Tiddol’s mana since shortly after she knew she was pregnant. As I have never experienced it myself I have no idea how it feels, but It seems like a pretty miserable experience. Tiddol was very clear about how thankful she was, I had to tell her the constant ‘thank you’s was getting annoying for her to stop, though it might have to do with the fact that she fell asleep around the same time. I guess for the first time in a while Tiddol and I will be sharing a bed. Anyway, Good Night Diary.

Caught in the crossfires of a conspiracy, follow his adventures as he tries to save the two worlds he holds most dear. Above is a new, shorter synopsis whilebelow is the original one. Zack Blake. A normal high school student, was leisurely studying in his classroom. Or that was what's supposed to happen if he was normal. He was in a completely white space and saw a white haired girl looking at him. "Hello, Zack. I'm an Overseer named Alia. And welcome to my realm" Given a choice to die as is or be sent into another world, what will he do? Watch over Zack as he tries to survive and enjoy a world of swords and magic full of action, mystery and adventure by battling demons, humans and even Gods. Constructive Criticism is accepted. I wish to improve my writing, and this story would be the first novel i've ever written... Updates will be posted very erratically. If you will rate this story less than 3 stars, please do leave a review so I will know what the problem was in the story. Cover art is not mine and I found it here. If the artist wants it taken down, I shall comply. Hiatus until summer kicks in. It's a bit of a mess right now. Also, please check out my other fiction, Alice in Magicland. AIML will be active since it's much easier to write than this novel.

How to raise a Hive Queen
This story is about a newborn Hive Queen, which gets raised in an unexpected environment. The first part of the story will focus on her development and the challenges that come with it. Eventually she will start to produce her own swarm of hive creatures. The species of the Hive Queen is called the Sylv and they are a insectoid species with an hive mind. The Sylv can evolve themselves through extracting traits from other non Sylv creatures. This is limited to modify the basic set of creatures the Sylv can produce, they are not able to create completely new creatures. In this regard they are more like ants, who have workers, soldiers and queen ants. The Sylv live underground in so called hive complexes and use living structures in them to produce more of their kind. The Hive Queen is the leader of a Sylv Hive and responsible for evolving the swarm. This novel takes place in a fantasy setting and was inspired by other hive species like the Zerg from "Starcraft" made by Blizzard Entertainment, the Arachnea from "Her majesty's swarm" published on j-novel club, and the Vex from "I don't want to be the Hive Queen" by ValetheHowl. I really enjoy stories with an organic hive mind species and want to contribute myself. The focus and theme of this story will change as the Hive Queen matures and defines the goals she wants to achieve. If you like this story also check out my other fiction "To former Glory" here on Royal Road :D
