《Diary of Erica Kron》Day 200

I tried manipulating plants in ways that I haven’t been able to do very well before today and found them to be much easier. I feel like I could do almost anything with plants if I had the right base material, I just lack creativity. I have all this new potential for creation at my fingertips, but I have no idea what to do with it. My first thought was to try to make something that can store solar energy, but I lack the right base material, Astrie is possibly the worst plant I have access to for storing solar energy and everything else just isn’t good enough with any kind of energy. Maybe I could change Astrie to be more suitable somehow, but it won’t be with mana, and solar energy is so hard to accumulate that once I am able to use Astrie for storing it i won’t need it. For now i am at a loss for what to do with my newfound power, besides the obvious of learning the basics of as many fields of magic as i can.
I asked Mest when the next double sun event would happen, and the answer was disappointing. It’s pretty easy to be somewhere when there are two suns in the sky with the advent of permanent teleportation circles, but on average there are about three decades between it happening at a particular place. So if it wasn’t for the thing that allows me to profit from it in the first place I would be able to get a bunch of solar energy by just following it. I’m not going to be able to rely on that to fix my problem.
So, as it turns out the Ents are still much more suited to magic than me, despite my evolution. I believe the Ents will remain a source of pride for me for a very long time. Unfortunately, they are similarly lacking in creativity, but that is more due to a lack of experience than a creative block. Plus they haven’t yet hit the point where they need to get creative to get stronger, which worries me a little, I don’t want my children to stagnate when they reach that peak.

Other than trying to figure out what to do with magic I got the basics down of many fields of magic. The common ones, ones that any creature could reasonably expect to learn. In particular, these fields were earth, fire, force, air, and conjuration. Though elements of conjuration are present in most fields of magic, especially my own plant manipulation, so despite being considered one of the hardest to learn it was pretty easy for me. I tried to get Willow to show me how she makes lightning, but I am nowhere near skilled enough to copy her method. She does it in a roundabout way, instead of creating lightning directly she creates a storm that then creates the lightning that she controls, I imagine this way is much more difficult for someone whose talent isn’t storms than just creating lightning to begin with.
Despite all of that I don’t feel like I have really improved much today, I mean on an objective level I have, but I don’t feel like I’ve come much closer to being able to manipulate flesh. It doesn’t matter how much I can control my magic, if I have no idea what i’m doing someone is going to die painfully, something I am going to avoid. I thought about using already dead meat, but, while good to actually stretch my control of flesh, doesn’t address the problem at hand, I can’t figure out what works and what doesn’t by doing that. Maybe one of the specialists Mest called in will have some insight for me, because no one else does and I certainly don’t.
Anyway, Good Night Diary.

Victor of Tucson [A LitRPG/Progression Fantasy]
Victor was an average eighteen-year-old kid from Tucson, Arizona, trying to figure out his life after high school and focus on getting his act together. One hot summer day, he stepped into his grandma's house and disappeared, snatched out of his life by some unsavory fellows from another world. Things don't get better from there, unfortunately, as the gents who summoned him deem him worthless and offload him to a member of low society who happens to run a pit fighting business. Victor's time in this new world might be short, indeed. Release Schedule: 4k+ word chapters every Sunday and Thursday. Starting in July, I'll have more time, and I will increase post frequency. If you get caught up on this story, you might like my other ongoing novel, Falling with Folded Wings. It's over a thousand pages on RR, with lots more to come. Important Patreon Note: My Patreon has advance copies (30+) of my other fiction. So far, I only have 10 advance copies of Victor on there. This may change in the summer, but for now, please bear it in mind when supporting me through Patreon. Thank you! Cover Art by: Carlos Monteiro Part 2 Art by: PanGalactic

An Extra-Ordinary Story about Ordinary People
In a different world, a different reality, where ordinary people occasionaly have extra-ordinary powers for no particular reason, we follow a number of characters, trying their best to live in this strange yet normal world. We have our first character, a currently nameless but sentinent creature who happened to find himself in the body of a strange fungus after an unknown incident that robbed him of not only his former body but of his memory, as well. Secondly, we follow Smith, a high-standing man who doesn't even need to explain which Smith he is, on top of the world, yet human enough to meet said fungus. And thirdly, we have another nameless character, who is burdened by the ability to summon things that he doesn't want. A charming gang, who will (most likely) meet at some point. --- All and all, it's a twist on the common super-hero world, where all super-heroes have somehow dissappeared, but not the possibility for new ones. The series that feature the mushroom-dude are the 123 ones, the stories that feature Smith are the ABC ones, and the ones that feature our newest character, the summoner-dude, are the abc ones. Neat, huh? Also, just a word of warning? The 123 ones are kind wierd, and you can skip the first few chapters and go straight to the ABC ones without missing too much. But I'd rather you didn't, since i really enjoyed writing them. In ABC and abc, the format changes to a more typical form, with proper grammar and stuff. So if you dont like the 123, I'd love it if you gave the ABC a chance :^) Anyhow, I hope you enjoy it!
