《Diary of Erica Kron》Day 145

Today I worked on connecting more things together in the ent. The completion of the Digestive system makes this really easy, It surprising how interconnected things are, and finishing the digestive system removes one step from implementing many organs, sometimes more than one.
Willow came to me to show off her abilities with lighting. Apparently, she’s been training with it for a while now. She’s gotten to the point that she can create it out of her fingertips easily, where before she needed to create a full-scale storm, even if only a small one. The sheer power she can produce is amazing, she fired a bolt of lightning at the sky and it made a large hole in a cloud, it was almost completely silent too. She explained the silence by saying that she hated the loud noise it usually makes, and so she worked on making it quieter. Supposably she can easily double the power if she isn’t trying to make it silent. My biggest concern is that I never noticed her training, I must get more engrossed in my work than I realize.
Power and silence isn’t all she worked on. She said that she was inspired by the show I put on a while ago before showing off what I can only describe as sculptures and paintings she made out of lightning. It's amazing how she managed to use different colors of lightning to weave together art like that. Yeah, it is pretty simplistic and rudimentary, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive. The sheer control over her magic that must require is mind-blowing, and the constant visualization on top of that, I was sad to watch the art fade away as Willow ran out of mana.
As she put it, her staying power was her biggest problem. A single full powered blast was enough to knock her out while she can’t last more than the time it takes her to walk from one end of my grove to the other before she can’t express anymore, which is how she referred to the art.

She’s so young, and despite, or perhaps because of, that Willow is the most impressive person I know. She's beautiful, intelligent, her technical knowledge of magic is stunning, and she loves to learn. I’m proud of how the young sprite has developed, she’ll be a great ally in many future endeavors.
One last thing, Willow has started to refer to Mest as papa, and Tiddol as mama. I guess their the closest thing to parents she has. It reminds me that she’s not even a year old yet, which is incredibly humbling.
Anyway, Good Night Diary.

Armored
600 years have passed since the fall of civilization. The earth went through massive changes and core beasts now reign supreme. All that still exists of mankind are ruins and a scattering of walled cities. Festering pits of the worst humanity has to offer, protected by "knights" clad in a mech-like technology called armor. Nobles rule over everyone, little more than warlords. The middle class wants to make a buck and become nobles. And the rats want to survive. But everyone wants a piece of the ancient technology lost to mankind hundreds of years ago. Find one piece and it could change your life forever. For better or worse. This is my second attempt at a story. I haven't been writing for more than 3 or 4 months all combined. I hope to improve as I go. This is first and foremost a learning experience for me.

Continuity
I’m writing this all down because I don’t know what else to do with it. This whole experience has been so completely insane that I must record it so people in the future can understand what is going on. Maybe someday someone else can make sense of it. Maybe that person is you, I have no idea. JR awakens from a dream to find that he is late for work! When he tries to call in, he realizes that something is not right. That’s when his friend and co-worker, Frank, calls him and informs him of what just happened to their workplace. JR finds himself in a world that grows increasingly surreal with every passing day. There are basic facts about himself are missing from his memory. When was his birthday again? Taking place in Chicago in the near future, strange buildings, strange events and stranger people populate this world on the other side of the looking glass. JR is left to struggle with his new job and new surroundings, but luckily his old friend Frank is still there to help guide him. He makes many friends who have interesting takes on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. First alerted by Frank, JR slowly becomes aware of a danger lurking in the background that is gradually spreading despite the fact that no one else seems to notice it or acknowledge that he might be on to something. All of this combines to make the novel Continuity about fear, anxiety and paranoia in a perplexing world that seems to be both real and not real at the same time. Rumored to be about 15 chapters and less than 200 pages the novel is written in a first person perspective that breaks the forth wall and will either leave you laughing with delight or scratching your head in confusion, or maybe both!? The one thing it won’t be is boring!
