《Not Everyone's Lv Zero》B-2: Prologue

“This one’s exciting.”
Rickshaw curiously held a letter. He was a young and energetic teenager, a scribe. He worked at the main branch of the blacksmith guild at the royal capital. He was to record the names of master blacksmiths being sent from all over the Empire via letters. His work wasn’t difficult, but his senior was.
“Don’t be naïve. The only thing exciting about the letter is the letter itself. The list of generic names of unimportant masters holds little value in reality.”
Rickshaw couldn’t ignore his seniors bleating. Everyone had warned him about the old man sitting on the other side of the rickety old table that he refused to change for some forsaken reason.
The man hadn’t considered it a necessity to look away from the book he was copying before hitting Rickshaw’s head with his stone-hard opinion. He was cold as a block of ice… cinders left from a long smoldered fire… and had the temper of a wild boar.
Listen, but do not take his words to heart. Answer, but don’t correct. They had told him because the old man had a special relationship with the guild. He had held back enough.
“I don’t think so, sir.” Rickshaw fought back. He also had an opinion, values, and dreams. “These names belong to people who are masters of their craft. Every one of them is the hope and backbone of our Empire. They are the pillars of our society; the Empire would fall without them. They are not generic names on a piece of paper that can be shredded and thrown in the dumpster!”
He had the old man’s attention. Rickshaws heart skipped a beat when Somwar stopped scribbling.
The old man raised his head and stared back at his assistant started at him with his dark, aged eyes. Where the boy expected a retort, the old man let out a snort.

“Tell me then… what’s so impressive about this letter that you are holding? What makes it special? How are these names different from the hundreds I have recorded over the years and forgotten with time.”
Rickshaw got up, leaned over the table, and raised the hand holding the letter toward Somwar. It was by this freak method that he passed the letter to the man.
Rickshaw wondered if the name would surprise his senior. The old man had been stuck in the same position for the last decade. Everyone knew the man was a blacksmith, but no one knew the story behind his transfer to the logistics department. Some said he was a traitor and was being punished for taking bribes. Others said he was trying to save someone. Despite what everyone believed, one thing was true, the old man was not daunted by letters.
The letter was was thick, grainy, and fibrous. It had retained the faint fragrance of mulberry trees from it, which caused the old man to raise a brow in surprise that in turn surprised his assistant.
“Is the letter from the southwest region?”
“Yes,”
“Did they send arrows as the proof of the persons reaching mastery?”
“How did you—” Rickshaw started but the old man cut him off.
“That’s so like those people to waste the time of a master blacksmith on reproducing something like arrows. What a tragedy. He should be leading a team of lesser smiths instead of slaving away to some counts oppressive nonsense!”
The old man’s disdain might have surprised Rickshaw, but the boy never expected his senior to gasp and stand up straight from his chair after reading the letter. He didn’t know what happened. The letter didn’t contain anything shocking, but the name of a single master blacksmith from the depleted south-west region--
-- Raesh.

Noah Fel was a [Ritualist] for the Collegium. As a professor, his daily routine consisted largely of grading papers, writing apprentice recommendations, and helping to ensure that his students didn't blow themselves up. Truly, it was a rewarding job. Now though, displaced from his home in the after-effects of a ritual gone wrong, follow Fel on an inadvertent fantasy world adventure! Lands to travel, people to meet, and deaths to be had! Here you’ll find rituals, monsters, magic, a number of distractions, and more nervously written author’s notes than you can shake a stick at! A stand-alone brother story to Barkept Image of the book displayed in the Cover-Art by Noupload (Am I allowed to write author's notes in the Synopsis? Yeah why not- random thoughts, Go!) I've never done this before, but I've got this neat leather-bound notebook and a will to write, so let's have an adventure! If I do write something stupid, inconsistent, or strange, however... please do call me out on it?I love well-meaning corrections, they're one of the best ways I could improve! With all that out of the way, the author will sit here and transition into talking in the 3rd person while on break. It's the only time he's able to write. Don't worry, the work-break won't last long. Something is always sure to go wrong here at th

"You may now kiss the bride." But no kiss ever came. I'm ripped from my wedding and thrown into a medieval fantasy world with game-like elements. It may seem like a game, but that doesn't matter to me, because this is my reality. The pain, the hunger, the cold, the fear, it's all real to me. Alone, without knowing why I'm here, in a world where I know nothing and nobody, I decide to buy a Blood Slave to have someone I can trust. She brings me comfort and so much more. She helps me raise my head high again and bravely move forward. Together, we'll grow stronger. Together, we're unbreakable. But she won't be the only one by my side. We need more than just each other, for I know that my purpose in this world can't be accomplished with only her help. Monsters and dungeons plague the land, forcing civilization to protect themselves from the hordes with tall walls and fierce determination. Killing monsters is a daily need, but they aren't the only enemy here. I have a powerful "Gift" that allows me to change my "skill points" at will, but if others were to know about it, there would be many that would try to use me by any means possible. Step by step, moment by moment, day by day, we keep moving forward, always aiming to improve our strength. One day, we'll meet our Fate, and we'll be ready for it. Swords held high, shields tightly strapped to our arms, wings spread apart, spells at the tip of our tongues, minds focused like blades, and our hearts hardened like steel. We'll take on whatever comes our way! --------------------------------------------- New chapters Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8PM US East. At least 3k words each. Additional Tags: Psychological, Romance, Magic, Male Lead, Portal Fantasy/Isekai/Transmigration, Polygamy, Slaves Content Warning: gore, profanity, sexual content (most of it has been censored) (male/female, female/female, and human/non-human(not for the faint of heart)), traumatizing content What to expect: Slow story focused on the day-to-day life of a transmigrated man rather than on the plot. The plot exists but it very slowly becomes relevant. Also, slow character progress. It's a long journey, so don't expect a hero to grow in just a few chapters. Detailed environments and extensive world-building. Realistic and tactical combat instead of flashy. Protagonist with a cheat but far from overpowered. Lots of descriptive sex scenes (though most got censored here). It's treated as just another part of life instead of merely fan-service. A harem where the members actually enjoy living with each other. Occasional weird wording and grammar, English isn't my first language. Currently uploading on: Royal Road (most sexual content censored), Scribble Hub, Novel Updates Forum, Wattpad, Hentai Foundry, Webnovel, MoonQuill, Nobles, Archive of Our Own, and Literotica. This story is also on Scribble Hub, Novel Updates, Hentai Foundry, Webnovel, MoonQuill, Archive of Our Own, and Literotica.
