《Dragon Road: How I Rise in My New Life》News, Return, and Plans

Hello Dear Readers,

I'm alive and I realize it's been over a year since my last chapter and I've been very quiet. To start off, I haven't decided to stop the story nor am I changing it. It's just that over the course of the year, I've had some troublesome experiences that had all of my attention, to the point that I've grossly neglected this story as well as other aspects of my life.

During that time, I grew miserable and frustrated about everything, that there was a point I even contemplated ending it all. Looking back at everything, I realize that I may have unknowingly fought with depression. This was during my internship in New York, working as a line-cook.

It wasn't easy, especially with what I had to go through near the end of it (surgery, debt, and all other kinds of BS), but I've bounced back and hopefully ready to continue this novel.

To be honest, I wanted to come back while bringing along a whole slew of chapters for a grand revival, but considering the fact that I lost most of my drafts due to a terrible experience with a certain writer's phone app (I was trying to copy a draft into Scrivener from my Dropbox but my fiddling converted ALL my drafts into a copy of a single chapter, not even sure how that happened), I've decided to let everyone know first that I'm back and I'll be posting soon to help stave off the confinement caused by this new terror of nature brought about by man (COVID-19 if that description wasn't obvious enough) since this Pandemic has caused me to be currently jobless and trapped at home.

I've also heard that there were some new rule changes to RRL about Mature content. I've seen some of the authors who's works I'm reading mention that they had to either modify their stories or migrate elsewhere. Since it's possible this'll affect me as well, know that I'll be posting my work in Scribble Hub to prepare for a possible migration. In other words, once I get a notice, I'm out.

I'd honestly prefer to stay here since their interface and tools are more convenient, but I find having to change my story due to a stricter system much more inconvenient, i.e. I hate being forced to change what I write.

Well, I hope to see everyone soon, hopefully after I've posted the next few chapters.
