《Purple Lightning Emperor》Chapter 128- The Guardian of the 2nd Floor

After the retreat of the Grey Horned Wolves, Shad along with his men took the opportunity to rush to the entrance of the of the second floor. Even though the Grey Horned Wolves have run with their tails between their legs, the stench of blood from the bloody battle had already attracted the attention of many magical beasts that were in the vicinity. As such, Shad didn't dare to stay there any longer.
Unlike the entrance of the first floor which was a huge magic circle, the entrance of the second floor was a huge gray door that stood erect in the middle of the forest. It was very large and over fifty meters tall. The grey door gave off a similar aura to that of the entrance of the Tower itself but less powerful.
" Is that entrance of the second floor." Asked Shad with a puzzled expression on his face.
" Of course it is, just pushed it open so we can enter. Once we enter the second floor, the other magical beasts won't be able to follow us there." Quickly answered Little Blue.
According to Little Blue, The magical beasts in the lower floor could never enter the higher floor unless they met a certain criteria or pass through some tests. As for what kind of tests, Little Blue refused to divulge that kind of information even after Shad had promised more lightning energy.
Without wasting any time, Shad pushed the huge door open. As soon as he did, not to mention the others, even Shad himself was dumbfounded. When he opened the huge gray door, what appeared before him was not the other part of the forest but was an extremely desolate desert world. That was not all, while it was almost night time within the first floor they were currently in, the sun was shining brightly in the desolate desert world of the second floor. From the other side, Shad and his men could even see as the wild wind blasted the yellow sand everywhere, causing the entire world to seem blurry. The heat waves there caused even the air itself to distort as well.
" Let's go inside quick." While Shad and the others were still immersed in the view that was in front of them, Little Blue's voice rang out from their ears. Apart from Little Blue, It was the first time that Shad along with all his men had ventured within Tower.

After hearing Little Blue's voice, Shad didn't waste any more time thinking as he immediately passed through the door as well, followed by the others.
Within the second floor, The scorching waves of the sun caused the air itself to distort. Shad along with his men felt as though they were currently in standing the middle of a volcano.
" Little Blue, quickly take us to the entrance of the third floor. I am afraid this heat will kill us before the magical beasts even had the chance to do so." It was truly hot on the second floor and Shad along with the others were already sweating like pigs. Shad wanted to take a little break after that last battle as the girls and some of the imperial soldiers were injured, but the environment of the second floor made it impossible to do so. As such, he was forced to proceed to the third floor.
" Follow me. Hey kid, you must be careful, the second floor is not the same as the first floor. It's way more difficult. Unlike the first floor where one could see the magical beasts in front of you, all the beasts in the second floor are sand beasts and they are hiding underneath the sand. One wrong step and you could become sand beasts' lunch." Said the Little Blue with a slight smile on her face. Even though this place was filled with danger everywhere, Little Blue seemed as though she was enjoying it.
Aside from Shad, everyone was secretly surprised when they heard that. Some of them even couldn't help but unconsciously looked down their feet to see whether they were stepping on a sand beast or not.
" Don't worry, the area were are currently in is safe. There are no magical beasts hiding underneath the sand." Shad quickly said to the nervous imperial soldiers. With the right Eye of the Red Lightning Dragon Emperor that could even see through almost everything, it was impossible for the sand beasts to ambush him by hiding underneath the sand.
After listening to Shad, the nervous soldiers regained their bearing. For them, Shad was like a god, a savior. They have already witnessed his terrifying power when they were fighting against the pack of the Grey Horned Wolves. At this moment, they were a hundred percent sure that the 4th imperial prince didn't have his power suppressed by the Tower.

The members of the Lightning Corps were thrilled after knowing that. However, Gomez had some mix feelings. He was both happy and afraid at the same time, He was happy because the more powerful the 4th imperial prince was, the greater the chance they have to make it to the 9th floor with fewer casualties and a fighting chance against the elite members of the Eye as well. On the other hand, he was a little afraid that the 4th imperial prince who take that opportunity to get rid of him while he was at his weakest.
Just like that, under the lead of Little Blue, they had ventured into the deeper part of the second floor where the entrance of the third floor was located in just half a day.
They have encountered many sand beasts on the way, however, with Shad's eye power, they were able to easily dispose of them before they could even ambush them. The reason that the sand beasts were considered very dangerous was that they were all hiding underground, beneath the sand where they waited to ambush their prey. Unfortunately for them, Shad was able to discover them hundreds of meters away with his eye power before they could even make a move.
As they were moving forward and getting closer to the entrance within the second floor that leads to the third floor, some of the soldiers started to panic because on their way, there was layer upon layer of skeletons. Some of the skeletons were that of humans while the others belong to all kind of magical beasts. As they were getting closer and closer, the amounts of skeletons and dried bones increased. the deeper part of the second floor looked like a huge graveyard or the site of an ancient battlefield.
It was impossible for them to estimate how long ago those people or beasts had died. However, one thing was certain, all those beasts and people were killed by the same entity and that entity was surely the guardian of the second floor.
Stepping upon the layer of dried bones while listening to their cracking sound as they were breaking into multiple pieces, Shad was bravely moving forward without a hint of fear in his eyes. It was as though the cracking sound of the dried bones were nothing but music to his ears. However, some of his subordinates were shaking in fear while moving forward through the mountain of bones.
As they arrived at the deepest part of the region where the huge door that leads to the third floor was located, everyone except the 4th imperial prince looked ghastly pale. In front of them was what seemed to be a small mountain. However it wasn't a real mountain, it was a huge python coiling around itself forming what seemed to be a small mountain. The most terrifying thing was, the python had two huge heads. All four of his eyes were closed as though it was taking a nap.
Seeing the two-headed python, some of the imperial soldiers couldn't help but took a few steps backward out of fear. As though it could smell the stench of fear in the air, the huge two-headed Python slowly opened all four of his eyes and looked the humans in front of him. The member of the Lightning Corps as well the people that came with Gomez were completely overwhelmed with a just a single from the two-headed python. Just looking at its four eyes sent shivers all over them. With just a single glance from the two-headed python, their bodies froze like ice.
" Damn it, I am the proud member of the legendary Lightning Devouring Wolf Clan and this little snake dare too look down on me. Furthermore, my blood is sending an extremely loud warning signal, warning me to be careful of this damn snake. Even though it wasn't as powerful as when I met that damn Kid, it still pisses me off."
" You guys, stand back. Let me take care of that damn bastard." Shouted Little Blue with an angry voice as she stepped forward.

The WereLionesses Mate
She was running out of breath, but that didn't matter, all that mattered was getting away from him and proving him wrong. Branches scraped her face and her arms, her body burning hot; but cold from her sweat as the wind blew over her skin. Her pants soaked from running through the streams, her shirt ripped to shreds around her stomach from very low hanging branches. Her hair, a tumbling fiery mess of tangles, and waves slipping through the ponytail she had quickly fastened trying to tame her wild hair. Running and crawling on the ground through the forest floor, trying to get back to the camp grounds so Whhooossshhhh! All of a sudden a giant gust of wind flew past her nearly lifting her off the ground and throwing her into a tree. Where in the world did that wind come from? She thought, but she kept running like it had never happened. She jumped over a fallen log, ignoring the fact that she almost fell in the process. She zoomed past all the trees and sprinted over the roots coming out of the ground. She rounded another tree coming to a sudden halt at seeing him standing there with a drink in his hand laughing and joking. She stood there wondering how in the world he could have beaten her here; He looked at her then, He looked, well, handsome, his faced was clean shaven and his button up shirt was all unbuttoned minus the three at the bottom. She could still visibly see his bronze chest and the top of his ripped-hard abs. He walked over to her and smiled, showing all of his teeth, the smile reaching his eyes. His eyes were dark and stormy, their color was usually a nice honey brown but now his eyes looked mid-night black. They looked like they could kill a man at eighty paces, but could sweep a woman off her feet at the same time.
