《Purple Lightning Emperor》Chapter 108

The terrifying news regarding the 4th imperial prince of the Djage Empire killing the commander of the Red Flame mercenary who was a 7th rank warrior along with the massacre of all the members of the Red Flame mercenary group swept through the resting place overnight, startling countless people.
The fact that the 4th imperial prince was able to destroy the Red Flame Mercenary group was not a big deal, as he had the power and the backing to do so, but what startled them was how he actually killed the commander of the Red Flame mercenary who was a 7th rank warrior.
Even some of the members of the 7 novas who were watching this scene secretly from the distance were shivering since they didn't know how the imperial freak was able to accomplish such a thing. This was just too domineering, they had never seen a powerful 7th rank warrior get killed like that, without the opponent lifting a finger. Furthermore, the commander didn't even have the chance to fight back or resist as he killed himself unwillingly with a nightmarish look on his face from the order of the 4th imperial prince.
While people were still trying to cope with this news, Shad was sitting in his tent along with two important guests.
" You really have gotten stronger, Clyde," Shad said while he was looking at the young man sitting in front of him with a satisfied look on his face. Last time they've met, Clyde was only a 3rd class mage but now, just after two months or so, he has broken through the 4th class mage. Even though his speed wasn't comparable to his, it was still heaven-defying. Furthermore, he became more mature and had a determined look on his face.
" Compared to the protector, my strength isn't worth mentioning," Clyde said with a respectful tone.
Before Clyde and his father had come to meet Shad, the old ancestor of the Kalel family had warned them time and time again to not do anything foolish. He didn't know why his grandfather who was a scary figure and had an unbelievably high position in the Djage Empire was acting very cautious when it comes to the 4th imperial prince, one could even say that he was a little afraid of him. He always thought it was because of the 4th imperial prince's new status which was higher than even the Emperor himself.

However, after coming here and saw Shad in person after two months or so, Clyde finally have an idea why his grandfather as well as his father were really cautious of Shad.
When he saw Shad killed the 7th rank warrior without even lifting a finger, his eyes flashed in terror. For him, Shad was like a slumbering beast that could devour all of his enemies at any moment.
At this moment, while Clyde was looking at Shad, he felt a huge sense of pressure in his heart. In the past, when he had fought against Shad in the academy and was defeated, he knew that he had ways to go before he could catch up to him.
He knew that there was a huge gap between them, but at that time, he thought that in breaking through the 4th class mage, he would be able to close that gap between himself and Shad. Alas, now, he realized that this was not true at all. After seeing the man in action today, he understood the true disparity between them.
This sudden discovery terrified him and gave him a chill in his heart. He didn't know whether to respect this young man in front of him or fear him. He had also heard about his past accomplishments, but he always thought that the people were exaggerated. However, now it seemed like it was the opposite.
Nonetheless, after his training in solitude, Clyde had become more open-minded. He knew that no matter how strong a person is, there will always be someone stronger. Even though Shad was twice stronger than him at the moment, he won't give up and will train harder in order to defeat him one day.
" General Gomez, you got here before me, so do you know how many people are in this resting place and how powerful they are," Asked Shad.
He had already used his strong spiritual force to scan the area and had a rough idea about how many people were in this place and how strong they were, but he wanted to hear Gomez's report. Maybe there were some people that already left for the Tower already, or some powerful 9th rank warriors or mages hidden in this area.

" There are approximately five thousand people currently in this resting place. Three thousands of these people belonged to the 7 novas' party, excluding you. As for the rest, they are either hunters, assassins, mercenaries, or some vagrant warriors and mages." Answered Gomez respectfully.
" I see, have you met the 6 Novas already?" Asked Shad with a hint of curiosity in his voice.
" I've only met two of them, the uncrowned Emperor and the 3rd imperial prince of the Nicholas Empire. As for the rests, they rarely come outside,"
In the blink of an eye, an hour had gone by, Clyde and Gomez had already gone to their respective tent.
At this moment, Shad stood at the doorway of his tent looking at the moonlight that shone down upon the tall golden tower in the distance with a slight smile on his face. His hands were behind his back.
Shad was really impatient and couldn't wait to enter the Great tower. After seeing how the Eye of the Red Lightning Dragon Emperor had drastically increased his strength, he was constantly dreaming about getting the rest of them. Furthermore, he always felt that he had not completely awakened the true power of the Eye of the Red Lightning Dragon Emperor. He always felt as though he was missing something to completely awaken its true power.
As he was enjoying the view outside, all of a sudden, the smile on his face vanished as his eyes turned cold. His gaze was focusing on an empty spot not too far away from his tent.
" Since you are already here, why are you hiding.? He said in a biting cold tone.
As if responding to his words, out of nowhere, a man appeared a few meters away from him. The area was empty, yet that man suddenly appeared in the yard out of nowhere as though he was invisible before or became one with the surrounding.
" Your Highness is indeed a dragon among men, not even my perfect blending ability could escape your sight. I, Dragon Eyes, is truly amazed by your ability." Said the man in red that just appeared in front shad.
" If you are here to assassinate me, I'm afraid you alone is not enough, you'll need at least an army," Shad said with a hint of mockery in his voice. with a single glance, he knew that this man was part of the same group of people that were trying to abduct Nina and followed him in the Black Mist Forest.
" Hehehe, I didn't know that the 4th imperial prince also likes to joke around. This lowly only came here to bring his highness to the location of the meeting of the 7 novas from the order of my young master." Said the man in the red cloak with a forcing smile on his face.
" I see, lead the way then," Shad said and then followed the man in the red cloak.

Noble
"Then, let joyous news be delivered to those who pass their lives in peace, For it takes only one twist of fate to throw their lives upside down And for those who unfortunate enough to encounter the whims of fate, Let it be reminded to them, that even their lives repeat a hundred times..." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lys Ravenlicht was no hero, nor was he a brave man. He was someone who had the better things in life and figured that he'd tread upon the path his late father had prepared for him as an appointed noble and a politician in his home country and he had no business whatsoever of being a hero. And yet, it took only one twist, one twist of fate, before all plans he had laid out for the rest of his life went down the tubes. Join him as he traverse the lands of Fymia, where the arcane had faded into the annals of time and yet persist in the most mundane of things. And as he found himself dragged deeper into a catastrophic series of events that would change his perception of the world, and the course of history for the world itself... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's comments: The story was meant to be a satire of the Japanese animanga tropes.... until it got out of hand to the point I'm not sure it's a satire anymore. I hope you can find enjoyment in it nonetheless.

Iron and Wood - A Tale Of Empire and Clans
For centuries, the Midlands had been split into fragments. A once glorious, united Empire has become a shadow of its former self. Unity has not returned, and not for the lack of trying. The greatest of these successor states were the Li Dynasty to the south, the rulers of old, and the Emerald Empire to the North, with its vibrant vitality. Unity is the end goal, and both will sacrifice anything to attain this elusive dream. For unity would surely solve the conflict that had long plagued this once prosperous continent. The Ironwood Clan was a prime player. Some would consider them the ones holding the reigns to the horse named 'Unification'. Iron and wood were the backbones of civilization; similarly, the Ironwoods were the backbones of the Northern Empire, and by extension, the people of the Midlands. Their methods, as questionable as they might be, had strengthened the North. Yet, were they enough? In the midst of it all, a young Ironwood who had lost his path must once again find his way. For the sake of his own wellbeing; for the sake of his clan; and for the sake of the Empire and its subjects. However, is he willing to sacrifice for the good of all? Is he willing to condemn some for the sake of others? Is he willing to make the right, albeit harsh, decisions? Only the heavens would know. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, events and incidents are the products of the author’s imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. Additionally, any views and beliefs expressed by the characters are not the author's own. The story is also not an endorsement of any actions taken within. The 'profanity' and 'sexual content' warning tags are there to be safe (and to leave room for potential future changes), but for now these two things are not inside this novel. This is my take on 'cultivation', though it might be somewhat disconnected from the general idea of the genre. Release schedule: Two chapters a week. The cover was created using wombo art. While I believe that creations using the app are in the public domain, if that is not the case, I will take it down.
