《Purple Lightning Emperor》Chapter 101

As the tremors on the ground became stronger , the mountains, the trees, and the earth violently shook. Everyone grew more and more serious as they tried to find out exactly what was causing the tremors.
All the Lightning Corps members clenched onto their weapons as they all stared ahead. As the tremors continued, they could hear the sound of footsteps as though there was a huge army coming their way.
" Everyone be careful, it's getting close." Shad barked in a serious tone.
Whether it was the four imperial knights, the Lightning Corps, and the four girls, the thought of being attacked by a large group of powerful magical beasts filled them with dread.
Especially Mina, It was the first time that she has ever found herself into such a dangerous situation. The dread crept over her like an icy chill, mumbling her brain. At this moment, she couldn't help but tightly hold onto the nearby Viviana's hand.
" Don't worry, everything will be okay. As long as my little brother is here, nothing will happen to us. Not to mention there's Monalisa, we could always get out of here safely if the situation is too dangerous." Said, Viviana, as she was looking at Mina who had a terrified look on her face.
Unlike Mina, Viviana had total faith in her little brother. Viviana knew how heaven-defying and powerful her little brother was. Her great-gramps always said that the little Egul Continent was too small for him. And one day he will spread his wings like a dragon and fly away from this place.
She also remembered the day when her great-grandfather was taking her little brother's innate talent test, that day, the object or the item used to test his innate talent shattered into multiple pieces as it wasn't able handle the power of his spiritual force. It was the main reason that her imperial family had kept the result of his innate talent a secret, and also one the reasons why she always messes with her little brother because she knew that one day that he will leave her to travel the world.
The Egul continent was just a small place not worth mentioning compared to the central mainland of the Eidrin world. Looking at her little brother's back, Viviana felt as though she was being protected by a huge impenetrable fortress or a mountain. She felt a sense of security that she was only able to feel when she was with her great-gramps.

As for Shad, his eyes were concentrated in the direction ahead as he stood in front of more than sixty Lightning Corps like a general ready for battle. However, compared to the others, he was much calmer. There wasn't a single trace of fear or panic to be seen in his eyes.
At this moment, a huge amount of dust could be seen beyond the horizon and the sound of huge trees being uprooted and smashed into to pieces could be heard. With every second, the Lightning Corps felt that the tremors in the ground were getting stronger and the sound of the footsteps louder and closer.
The fear caused by the powerful magical beasts coming their way traveled through all the Lightning Corps' veins. However, it never made it to their facial muscles or skin. Their completion remained serious and their eyes were filled with determination. They were the Lightning Corps, an elite group under the commands of the 4th imperial prince. The young man that instills fear to a lot of people within the continent with his heaven-defying method and strength.
Currently, when the Lightning Corps members were looking at their commander's back, they felt a trace of gratitude and guilt at the same time.
In the valley of death, they had battled against the group of bandits and men in black until they were at the point of absolute despair and exhaustion when the enemies suddenly sneak attacked them by firing countless arrows and launching a group of spears at them, at that time, it was their commander that saved them. In the Black Forest, it was also the same thing.
It was always their commander that helped them rather than vice-versa. They were his troops and subordinates, yet, they were unable to help him much and instead they became his burden. At this moment, their eyes were filled battle intents as they were waiting for the enemy. It was time to show their commander that they weren't weaklings or his burden even if it meant losing their lives in the process.
As the shakes continued to spread further and became closer, everyone was finally able to see the reason behind the dust in the cloud and the tremors. Their faces grew pale and whiter by a few shades when they saw the cause of the tremors.

If it was a group of people or a tide of magical beasts, they wouldn't be surprised because they were expecting something like from the way the ground was shaking and the dust on the cloud. However, the cause of all these tremors was just a single magical beast, not a hundred or a thousand, but one.
The culprit was a large giant ape with black fur, towering over a ten meters tall. It was big enough to destroy a small mountain with one punch and traverse river with one step. It stood upon two legs like a human and walked similarly to a human as well.
Step by step, the huge beast was walking towards them with a vicious look on his face. At this moment, the body of the huge Ape exuded a stormy atmosphere and an unparalleled aura.
Under this torrential pressure, half of the Lightning Corps were paralyzed where they stood. No matter how determined and brave they were earlier when facing such an overwhelming power, their bodies refused to listen to them as they felt the numbness creeping on their foreheads, and beads of cold sweat rolling down their cheeks. Their hearts sped up, they breathing sped up, and all sorts of nervous reaction appeared on their faces. They looked at huge beast approaching them with disbelief on their faces.
Not only them, Even the beautiful Viviana who had faith in Shad's ability, had her heart wavered when she saw that humongous humanoid beast.
" That's.....that's an Earth Destroying Battle Ape.....!"
Seeing the huge humanoid magical beast that was approaching them, Mark's face became deathly pale.
Earth destroying battle ape, as the name implied, existed to fight or loved to fight. Not only their bodies and their defensive abilities were terrifyingly strong, but their strength was overwhelming as well. Even though they were named Earth Destroying battle Ape, they were considered as the children of the Earth because they were all able to control the earth magic element. They got the nickname Earth destroying Battle Ape because they were able to cause tremors or to violently shake the ground with a single stomp of their feet.
Furthermore, they were able to crush a small mountain with a single punch and split the ground apart with a stomp of their feet. Their only weakness of the Earth Destroying battle Ape was their speed. They were as slow as a turtle but their skins were as hard as a thick concrete wall.
" Your Highness, that's a 7th Class Earth-destroying battle ape. its defense is strong but its speed is very slow." Shouted out, Mark. he was the most experienced and the most knowledgeable one among all of them when it comes to the magical beasts and the rank Forest.
" With the combined attack of the two generals and the sixty-plus Lightning Corps, it won't be too hard to kill it." Continued Mark as he was trying to boost the courage of the Lightning Corps to fight the beast. Just like others, he also felt like he was a burden to his highness. They were supposed to be the one protecting him, not the other way around.
At this moment, he wanted to use this opportunity to make Lightning Corps prove their worth to their supreme commander.
" Alright, all of you attack and cut down that beast in front me." Ordered Shad to the two Generals and the other sixty Lightning Corps. Even though he hadn't said anything, he was clearly aware of what they were a thinking and their strong desire to be of great use to him.
Listening to Shad's command, the sixty Lightning Corps and the two generals dashed towards the Earth Destroying battle Ape with a rekindle determination on their faces.

Where did I wake up?
A pretty standard story about a man that gets transferred to a new world, and gains a system to help him survive. This is pretty close to the first draft of this story, so there will be grammar mistakes until I get down to fixing them. Synopsis, genre and tags will also change as I get more writing done. I will try to release two to three short chapters a week. I don't own the cover image; it is just something I found online.

The Demon of Shadows (Hiatus)
Spartans. Genetically modified supersoldiers who participated in the spartan program, which aimed to reinforce and compensate for the humans capability of emotion in order to create the ideal supersoldier. The program itself resulting in the implantation of a limiter for a certain individual, which acted in limiting that persons emotions. Replacing it with a cold logical based calculative mindscape. The limiter aimed to support the ideal supersoldier in completing the objectives assigned to them. Be it mass slaughter, or assasination. One such man who had volunteered to participate in the program to provide data in return for a large sum of money to save a precious friend, has his life lost in battle after years of service and mindless violence. Death, however, was something he usually gave, not to receive. So when death comes to take his life, he awaits in silence, only to be dumbfounded at what is to happen next. This is the story of Nicholas Gray, the Shadow Demon. Note: Story is based on other LitRPGs found on the site such as Dante's Immortality, Necromancer and Co, etc. and on Halo for the majority of the first chapter and possibly later on down the road, I only borrowed things such as the armour and weapons used in the game itself and all credit goes to them for that kind of stuff. I will also perhaps use it to explain his backstroy to further character progression if I can. The cover photo was also a picture I found on the internet and if you wish for credit or for me to take it down just say so and i'll do it as fast as possible. I also don't have a set schedule, and this is just being used to improve my grammar and just as a hobby, nothing more. I will also appreciate feedback in regards to grammar, style, and story in general as this is the first time I have created a story apart from at school, hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it!
