The Valley of Death

On top of one of the highest mountains within the valley of death, Monalisa sat crossed legged with both of her eyes closed. she looked very pale and next to her, was a small empty bottle that gave off a powerful medicinal scent.

After using her teleportation portal in order to execute a combination attack with her young master, she had consumed a huge amount of magic power. If it wasn't for the high-grade magic power recovery potion that her young master had just given her, she's afraid that it would have taken her days before she could restore the consumed magic power.

However, despite consuming most of her magic power, she was still very pleased because she was able to be of great help to her young master. Before she was only able to take care of his business within the imperial capital and use her ability to facilitate his movement from one place to another in an instant when taken a mission, which was very great.

However, she wasn't very satisfied with only that. She wanted to do more for him. She wanted to carry more of his burden, especially after they have gotten intimated with each other. She has already considered him as her man and was ready to die for him if needed to.

However, today, her wish had come true. Her young master was able to come up with a way where he could attack an enemy from far away by using her teleportation portal.

Even though her young master was doing all the killings, she still played a major part in it because of the teleportation portal. The combination attack was very simple, she opened a teleportation portal where the exit point was located in the sky or above the mountain where the enemy was stationed.

Unlike the regular teleportation portal, the exit point was countless time bigger than the entrance, big enough to encompass a huge mountain. this kinda task was very difficult as it required a huge amount of concentration not to mention magic power.

After creating the portal, her young master only has to cast a magic spell at the entrance of the portal which will, in turn, come out at the exit of the portal which was on top of the mountain. As such, her young master was able to annihilate more than four hundred men while standing comfortably far away from the battlefield. This was a very simple combination attack yet so deadly. Her young master was very creative for coming with such an idea. she never thought that she could use her power that way.

In spite of being a destructive combination attack, especially in a large scale war, there was a huge flaw in it as well. If a powerful mage or warrior knew how this combination attack was created, it would be an easy task to counter it.

The reason for this was very simple, the same way the young master was able to cast a magic spell which came out at the exit point of the portal, a powerful enemy could do the same as well. For example, if the 5th class mage that was among the Red Storm Legion cast a fireball spell at the black hole in the sky, it would come out exactly on the other side and it would have been a direct hit because the young master had to be in front of the entrance when casting the spells.

This kinda powerful combination will remain powerful and invincible as long as it remained a secret or she was able to come up with a way to stop any attack from coming on the other side of the portal.

At this moment, Monalisa stopped thinking about anything because recovering her magic power was the most important thing right now. Her young master had already left to follow the two men that had escaped, she needed to recover her magic power as soon as possible in order to help him.

After she drank the potion, she took a deep breath and tried to activate the remaining magic power within her mana pool. Strangely enough, her mana pool had almost been emptied. she only managed to scrape up a little bit of magic power.

After she had swallowed the magic potion, it went directly to her mana pool as though it was attracted by something within it. At the same time, the liquid emitted an extremely strange force that continuously nourished her mana pool. The remaining magic power within her mana pool collided with the liquid. After they joined up, the magic power within her mana pool was expanding while the the the liquid was dissolving. It didn't take more than ten minutes before the liquid was completely dissolved and her magic power completely restored.

Despite recovering all her magic power, Monalisa still had both her eyes closed as though she was in a semi-consciousness state.

Suddenly, Monalisa's body was like a like magnet as it was attracting and absorbing the surrounding energy within the surrounding area. She was a void mage so it did not matter whether she was absorbing the red colored fire magic element or the yellow colored earth magic element, they were all to the same to a void mage.

At this moment, she felt a deep connection with the surrounding area as though she was a part of nature itself. A surge of terrifying magic energy surged about frenziedly within her and her magic power was expanding exponentially.

After sitting in that position for more than an hour, Monalisa slowly opened her eyes. There was a huge smile on her face like, but this smile alone was so kingdom-toppling that it could steal the souls from others, causing them to be forever enchanted.

" I finally break through the 5th class mage," she said with a wonderful smile on her face.

" What's going on?, I just saw them a moment ago yet, they suddenly disappeared." Shad was little perplexed.

After using the combination attack with Monalisa to annihilate the men in black, two of them survived. They ran deep in the forest instead of trying to escape or leave the valley of death to go the southern region.

Seeing this, Shad decided to follow them by making Monalisa opened a portal where the last attack had taken place. Everything was going smoothly, and he had a firm grip on the enemy's movement. However, as soon as they arrived in front of a small valley, they suddenly disappeared out of thin air. The place seemed like an ordinary valley. It wasn't deep and there weren't even many trees.

Shad released all his spiritual force and searched the whole surrounding area but came up with nothing. The two men were nowhere to be seen. They suddenly vanished.

" There has to be something here because they two of them couldn't disappear just like that"

As he said that, he walked forward as he checked the place. Still, he couldn't find anything. Out of anger, he threw a small rock ahead with all his might and something unexpected happened, the small rock disappeared before it could make it far away. He did the same thing over and over and the result remained the same.

Shad walked forward and extending both of his hands ahead of him as though he was blind. After walking for more than twenty seconds, something amazing happened. Half of his arms disappeared as well. He felt a ripple in the air as though his hands were entering a different dimension.

" What the hell!" Shad was shocked and quickly retrieved his hands. He pondered for a moment and then stretched over his hands again. Once again, the ripples began to sway one after another. Shad did not back down and continued to push forward until his body complete disappeared from the forest as though he was swallowed by the space around him.

Once he appeared the other side, the scene that he saw made him shocked. There was no valley or mountain ahead but a small village with houses, tents and so on.

" An illusion, someone had set an illusion magic formation in this whole area. No wonder Roman said that they could never find the lair of the Mountain Tigers even though they turned the valley of death upside down." Shad was very surprised because not anyone could set such a powerful magic formation. This person must be at least a 7th class mage.
