《Purple Lightning Emperor》Chapter 27

After seeing the excited look on his little brother's face, Viviana was stunned and shocked at the same time.
Ever since she was a kid, she had never seen his weird little brother of hers got excited about anything. whether it was for money, power, magic book or a beautiful woman, her brother has always stayed composed and unfazed by any of them.
Yet today, her brother was acting like a little kid in a candy store for the first time when he saw that book. He was looking at the book as though he was looking at the most precious thing in the world.
In the meantime, she had also a perplexed expression on her face when she was looking at the book as well. Because she knows some stuff that other people don't, due to her close relationship with Lisa.
" Little brother, are sure you want that book because according to Lisa, her family had that book in their possession over a decade, and they've spent countless energy and money trying to decipher it, yet they came back empty-handed. it wasn't until now, they've decided to auction it after spending a huge amount of money in vain," Explained Viviana with a complex and concern look on her face.
Before the auction, Lisa had sent her the complete list of the items they were going to auction today. Not only that, Lisa had explained the real value of each of the items to her.
Lisa value the friendship she had with Viviana a lot, that's why she tried to please her as much as she could. Viviana was the only princess of the Djage Empire and also the doted great-grandchild of the Dean whom is the Protector of the Empire. So one can imagine why Lisa is that close to Viviana. Additionally, Viviana seems to like her as well. As such, they both hit it off.
Viviana had expected her brother to choose one of the flashy magic swords, artifacts, or some powerful mage cloak with fire resistance or some sort, yet he chose that crappy book who nobody could decipher.

It's not like he was looking down upon her brother but this book was clearly not worth it. If you can't make use of something why waste money on it, that was her motto.
"I must have that book at any cost and if you could buy it for me as my birthday present, it would be the best present I could have ever received in my entire fifteen years of life," Answered Shad with a pleading look on his face.
Right now he was beyond broke and can only rely on his older sister to snatch that book from those angry stupid wolves below. He had already given all the agate crystal to Monalisa leaving only one for himself. Aside from that, half of his monthly allowance was gone as well, he can only wait for the next ten days to get money again and by that time it would be too late.
Not to mention his monthly allowance wasn't going to be able to cover the cost of that book because right now there was a fierce war going down there for the Diary, and the funny thing is those bastards won't even be able to read it unless they were like him.
So, he had to make his sister buy him this book at any cost even if he has to make his grown ass act like a kid. This book would be a waste in the hands of other people but him. Furthermore, he really wanted to know what information was inside that book. he always thought that he was the only reincarnated person in this world, yet this book might be proven him otherwise.
He might even find some clue as to why he was reincarnated in this world by reading the journal of that man.
Seeing how his brother was eager and impatient to have the book, Viviana had decided to buy it for him. If this book can make his brother happy, then so be it. Not to mention, she has to buy him a present anyway. Even though she acts like a tomboy and an unreasonable brat, she really does care about her brothers. They always pamper her and give her everything she asked for.

she knew that her brother wasn't really afraid of her even if their great-grandfather doted on her more than them. Not mention, her great-grandpa won't do anything unfair to them unless they do something really bad.
At this moment, the battle for the stupid Diary was at its peak in the auction main hall.
" 270 000." Called out a middle-aged man. However, as soon as he gave his bid, his voice was buried and drowned by the others who wanted to acquire that divine book as well.
" 290 000, can you guys give me some face, I am a Duke from the Sky Kingdom."
" Get fuck out of here, do I know you? and how much is that ugly face of yours worth? 300 000!" yelled an old man in the front row.
" Our Mercenary Association wants that book! 320 000."
" Why don't you go rob some people in the dark forest instead, my Hunter Association offers 350 000."
" What kind of thing is your Hunter Association? this Grand Duke is willing to take out 400 000."
The battle for the diary was at the pinnacle. Some well educated noble didn't care about etiquette as they were cursing out each other while they were fiercely bidding for the book.
The price continued to grow, going from the initial 200 000 to 500 000 platinum coins, not copper, silver or gold but platinum coins equal ten gold coins each. From this scene, one can imagine how powerful and wealthy those noble were.
While they were throwing money away like trash for something they could never understand, some people were dying of hunger in some part of the populace district within the capital.
'whether it was from my old world or this one, the human nature was still the same.' Shad thought.
While the people were fiercely fighting against one another. Viviana slowly stood from her seat. The moment she stood up, she instantly became the center of attention.
All of them have already seen her and the 4th prince getting in the VIP box. Even though they did not know why the young miss had postponed the auction for an hour, but once they saw her and the 4th prince getting in the VIP box, they suddenly found out why. At the same time, they did not dare to voice any complaints. No matter how powerful they are and their rank of nobility, they were still the subjects while her father was the Monarch.
Viviana slowly raised the plate in her hand with a faint smile and said in a charming voice, " 600 000.......Although I don't know how to decipher this book, it seemed like my little brother had taken a liking for it. Because of that, I've decided to buy as a present for his coming of age ceremony. I hope all the friends below will sell this princess some face."
As soon as those words came out from out her mouth, the whole auction hall became silent and no one else dared to bid again.
On one hand, the princess had increased the price by a shocking 100 000, at the same time, the other important factor was her status. Those two things combined make the people not dared to bid again.
In this world, whether it was mages or warriors, they've all strive to stand at the peak. Aside from having a long lifespan, the other reason was to be looked up to by many people and feared by countless people as well. Just like a single word from the princess was able to silence all those powerful noble below....... this was strength and status. The things that every single human being is chasing after in this world.
Soon after, the so-called divine book was given to the princess by Lisa as a sign of good faith to the 4th prince, not sold but given.
