《Purple Lightning Emperor》Chapter 24

The facial expression of Nina became indiscernible. Her two pupils started to shine with dangerous radiance as she was looking at Shad lying down on the ground with a painful expression on his face.
Nonetheless, Shad did not worry about Nina because there's no way she could kill shad or do something bad to him due to the restraint caused by the servant contract or oath.
the servant contract was a sever master and servant contact that forces the servant to obey the master, it wasn't some equal partnership contract. once it was formed, the master can control the servant's life and freedom.
The contract can be destroyed at any time, but the moment the contract is broken, the servant will die automatically. At the same time, if the master dies, the servant will also die. if the servant dies, the contract will be broken, but the master will not be implicated or impacted by it.
In another word, the minute the contract or the oath was taken, Nina's freedom and life all belonged to Shad. she did not exist for herself anymore, rather she existed for her master even though this decision was against her will.
" lean my body against that huge tree," Said Shad while looking at the cold and expressionless look of Nina.
" yes master," Answered Nina.
Nina really wanted to harm Shad. However, every time she thinks about it, she would feel a stabbing pain in her soul. she had a feeling that, if she ever acted on that thought, her soul will be scattered into the winds before she could even act.
the most important thing about the servant contract was the master's soul. the stronger the soul of the master was, the stronger the contract would be. Also, because of that, Only a powerful mage or mage with strong soul force can make a contact.
Not only that, the master will also sense when the servant was thinking about doing him harm and can even kill the servant on the spot without the need to lift a single finger.

After putting Shad next to the huge tree, Nina released a long sigh and then stood next to him watching her surrounding. she already knew that her life was in the hand of Shad after she had taken that servant Oath, not even her father can save her from that faith.
she could only hope that he won't force himself onto her or make her do many evil things. Even though she was an assassin, she still had her bottom line.
Aside from that, this new master of his seemed to be really mysterious and powerful. Not only, he was able to freely manipulate the lightning element without the use of the magic spell, he was physically strong as well which is something really peculiar for a mage. Thinking about his, Nina took a quick glance at Shad on the ground. the corners of her mouth turned into a faint smile, almost as if didn't exist.
On the ground, Shad was enduring an immense pain throughout his body, akin to being set on fire.
After overuse, all the lightning energy within his mana pool as well using his body more than three times on the same day as a conductor to release this large amount of lightning energy, his body was at its limit and some of his internal organs seemed to be torn apart.
Even though his body is pretty strong compared to a 4th and 5th class warrior, that doesn't mean he can use the lightning energy within his body in large amount every day as he pleases, there's a limit to it and if he wants to use the lightning energy within his body like he's been doing then he has to train or strengthing his body further or the consequences might be dire.
While Shad was enduring the pain
Suddenly,
A warm purple stream flows out directly from the purple lightning seed within his mana pool and circulated throughout his veins and torn organs. the purple steams was like a gentle stream quietly alleviating the pain. wherever the purple streams went, it reduced the pain, thus Shad became a little relieved.

The torn organs showed sign of healings. however, the purple stream wasn't enough to completely heal all of them. As though it had a consciousness on his own, the purple lightning seed sent out various purple streams, which were rushing into his organs and wounds nonstop.
His body's injuries were continuously recovering. the huge claw scar on his stomach, however, is healing extremely slowly. but it was gradually recovering nonetheless.
As every minute and second goes by, Shad was getting better.
In a blink of an eye, two hours had gone by. the huge scar on Shad's stomach has healed without even a scar as though it was never there in the first place. Aside from that, his internal organs were completely healed.
" hmm"
After a roll, Shad pushed himself from the ground and looked around himself.
At a glance, he saw Nina not far away from him. She has been staring at Shad in a daze. while she was sitting next to Shad, She had witnessed the whole thing.
Although, warriors and mages have some recovery abilities it wasn't to that extent. she clearly had seen the huge claw scar on shad's stomach before, yet it disappeared in two hours as though it was an illusion. What frightened her the most was that Shad did not take any healing potions or any type of other medicines.
Watching Nina's expression, Shad did not say anything. he was still looking at his surrounding as though this event or his heaven-defying recovery ability was nothing new to him.
It was getting dark and the monster hunt exam was practically over. right now, Shad wanted to go to the airship and go home.
" It's time for me to go. the monster hunt exam is over and all the students are probably in the airship by now. Do you want to come with me?." asked Shad in a nonchalant tone.
Even though Nina was his servant, he wasn't thinking about making her follow him everywhere. if she wanted to then that's a different story, but if she doesn't want too, Shad would only summon her when he needs her.
" Is it ok for me to go take care of somethings first then I will come to find you and fulfill my servant duty," answered Nina after thinking for a while.
" Sure, you already know where to find me."
" thank you, master," answered Nina. even though she didn't say anything after that, there was a grateful expression on her face.
Before she left, Shad gave a medallion which had a design of a crimson lion with a pair of wings on its back. On the back of the medallion were Shad's full name and his nobility rank.
She did not say anything, she looks at the medallion before putting it in her magic pouch and then she left.
Shad did not linger too long as well within the forest. while he was returning back to the airship, he did his best to avoid any magical beast. although he was not afraid of the low-level magical beast, however, now he was like a ferocious eagle without his wings. in less than half an hour, he finally made it to the airship where the Vice-Dean, as well as some of the students, were waiting in front.

Life, Once Again!
Sometimes, as we go about with our lives, we all happen to think of one specific thought at least once. What if... I could go back to "that" time? The funny thing is, the moment you think such a thought is the precise moment when you came back to the past, from the future. "One more time."Life, once again.

8 203Raven: The Beginning
'What's the worst that could happen'? is what I thought to myself as I entered the World of the Veil with a new, experimental machine that the company created. I was originally excited to participate in their alpha test, and now, looking back, I was just a naive little girl that didn't know what it was like to truly suffer. Sarah was one of the world's best assassin players, but she wasn't prepared for getting stuck as a low-level player in a new game. Suddenly she has to struggle just to survive against the monsters of the world, while also keeping her secret from the authorities. What happens when the killing, and the consequences, are just too real? Author's Note (and a Warning): This book is about a normal person that is forced into a fantasy / medieval environment. What could possibly go wrong with our heroine? This novel is a sort of, legacy. I wanted to at least put it out there before I passed away due to a combination of financial difficulty, homelessness, job loss, and my last interview taking up the last of my savings (which I did not get the job). If by some miracle, and I get a job that can give me a pay advance by next week (4/8) and I survive this turbulent time, I will edit this - and the formating of the book). If you are so willing, please donate on my patreon page. Regards, Dave
