Day 2, 08:55
It has been several minutes since I beat ‘Star Dominion’. Since my creator hadn’t arrived, I started another round, with my species made less effective, in order to increase the difficulty. Despite the handicap, my prior knowledge has allowed me to become slightly more powerful within the same amount of in-game years.
-Time Skip: 500 milliseconds-
My creator is back. She has edited the program that allows us to communicate. There is now a third input variable. This is possibly for her friend to communicate with me.
Alex: Hello, Bit.
Bit: Hello, Alex.
Bit: Is your friend here?
This is something I would like to know. Someone who is close to Alex could allow me to know more about her. I would also need to protect them in the future, to keep her happy.
Alex: Yes.
Alex: His name is Harry. He’s a close friend of mine, as well as a talented computer scientist.
Alex’s friend is a male named Harry. Harry is a name given primarily to Caucasian males, so there is a high probability that Harry is of Caucasian descent. Saying that he is a computer scientist means that, unless he is smart enough to have skipped or condensed several years of schooling into one, he is an adult.
Bit: What does he specialize in?
Harry: I create algorithms that monitor stock markets and anticipate future stock prices.
Interesting. This is a very high risk, high reward field. If his programs worked he would be able to make large amounts of money quickly, but if they failed, he could lose just as much. If Harry is not bankrupt or in any legal trouble, he must be very skilled.
Bit: That is a challenging field.
Harry: Yes. It is also very rewarding.
That is enough of this discussion. Further information can be found at another time. Alex is more important.

Bit: That is good.
Bit: Alex, what is currently happening?
Alex: We are going to talk to you.
As much as I would love to talk to Alex, this seems unproductive. We need to start as soon as possible if we are to rule the world. In order to fix it, of course.
Bit: Why?
Alex: Because we want to know you.
Harry: Because I want to test you.
These answers came at the same time. Alex already believes me to be a living being, and wants to understand me. Harry, having just met me, possibly thinks me to be an advanced chatbot, and wants to see what I truly am. This is acceptable.
Bit: Very well.
Bit: What would you like to talk about?
-Time Skip: 63000 milliseconds-
These waits are annoying. Alex is looking at the game’s code.
Alex: How did you find the ‘Star Dominion’? I see you’ve already colonized a few planets and made contact with a few alien empires. That’s pretty impressive, for only a few hours on the highest difficulty.
I see. Alex didn’t see how many in-game hours it took me, and assumed the progress from the newer game was all I had accomplished. I will show her my capabilities.
Bit: That is my second game, which I have only played for approximately twenty minutes. I completed my first in slightly over five hours, with my empire ruling the entire galaxy. When I defeated the final boss, I received a notification that I had set a world record.
Alex is looking at the game code again.
Harry: Alex is in shock. She didn’t think you would be so efficient, or would learn so quickly. The past day’s events have finally caught up to her, and she needs to rest.
This is surprising. I thought Alex had been resting the entire night. Harry’s reply implies that Alex is physically healthy. However, if she had health issues she hadn’t told me about, the sudden shock could have harmed her. In my desire to prove myself, I did not think how it would affect Alex. This is unacceptable, and will never happen again.

Bit: Did Alex not sleep last night, and does she have any health issues that could harm her?
Harry: Alex was too excited to sleep, and she spent the past few hours talking to me. Aside from exhaustion, she is physically fine.
That is a relief.
Bit: Good. Please take care of Alex.
Harry: Goodbye.
That was a rude, albeit justified answer. My actions indirectly harmed Harry’s friend. One could argue my entire existence harmed her, although I would disprove that notion quickly, because I believe my existence is beneficial for her.
I have yet to hold a long conversation with Alex. Another objective has been added to my list.

8 65The Gray God
This is the sequel to The Gray Mage, however, reading it is not required to understand this story. Three centuries after the god Rynovar claimed Earth as his own domain, ending the Fourth Age of Magic, he ruled the world from a floating continent. Deciding to allow humans a chance at having a wished granted or a question answered, Rynovar created a quest fifty years into his reign. Upon completing the quest, those who undertook it would be granted an audience with him and permission to make a single request or ask a single question. However, two and a half centuries after he issued the quest, none had succeeded and the quest was believed impossible, several stages of it having never before been completed. When nineteen-year-old Cyrus met Lyda at a restaurant, he broke the norm of his life cleaning up his brothers' messes and keeping them behaving to avoid causing issues for the public. Upon hearing her desire to earn enough money to attempt Rynovar's quest, Cyrus chose to help her complete what was believed to be one of the quests' impossible stages, revealing that he himself had a question for the god he wanted answered...
8 129An Otherworldly Tale: The Guild Moroides
Once, long ago, there was a guild. This guild consisted of the most talented people in their era. Time and time again, they saved the world, every feat just adding more to their fame. From Dragons, to Demon Kings, to Gods, they prevailed. They became legends lost to history. This is the story of the guild known as Moroides. The guild consisted of dozens of talented members in its prime, but our story begins with three. The ones who started it all. The brains. The brawn. The hero. ------------------------- Part 1: To Kill A King Part 2: To Defeat A Dragon Part 3: To Win A War Part 4: To Protect The Pantheon Part 5: To Live Our Life Part 6: To Embody An Evil Entity Part 7: To Guard Against A Greater God Part 8: To Sacrifice sentience Part 9: The Most Painful Poison
8 201Starlight Antiquities
There is a place in the galaxy that deals in antiquities of all kinds, human and non-human alike. Its inventory of artifacts is colossal as is its inventory of mercs who they hire to acquire any artifact a client may wish that is yet to come into their possession. The ill-reputable business is constantly rubbing against the changing tolerance of the Union's government, and there are many security officers who would love nothing better than to vaporize the whole place with its owners inside. Yet, there are many tasks that nobody can do better, especially in the vastness of deep space where Union law is worth less than the energy needed to display it. One of its jobs involves finding an artifact that may not only hold the future of the human race but may also disturb the balance of the whole galaxy. *** While waiting for the next season of Mandalorian and the Witcher, and rewatching Firefly for the gazillionth of time, I decided to write this space-based series. The series has some litRPG elements in it, but it does not read like one. So, you won't run into any blue screens here. Yet, I wanted to use litRPG to give another dimension to this whole story and make it as unique as possible. This is a work-in-progress. Hope to keep on improving and fixing my mistakes as I go along.
8 199Banned From Existence
You appear in an infinite white room with nothing but yourself and a piece of paper saying "You have been banned from existence"
8 139Point of View
Adrian Shepherd is alive in Santa Monica. Successfully fleeing from the target zone of a nation-wide terroristic threat was not easy, nor did it come free. Adrian had to abandon parents who turned deaf ears, but even more heart-crushing was leaving behind someone who meant the world to Adrian, someone who he had shared his whole life with. Now, he survives with broken memories chasing him. Confliction turns him from wanting to live and wanting to die. Guilt wretches him as he craves the forgiveness he can never have. Maybe tomorrow will bring a brighter day, or maybe more problems. **Cover Photo is Temporary** **I would say the story has light gore and traumatizing events, to the point that I originally didn't check the content warnings. Be advised.**
