《Druidification》Chapter 133

Setting up camp was delayed, but only because Shannon decided to get her pupils to start their training early. The expanse of trees was a square that was most likely just over a kilometer in diameter. This meant it was really easy to get them running to start off, while the dedicated workout gear was brought out inside the woods by Shannon and her bonded gorillas. One of the female ones happened to be awake and was able to keep a moderate amount of food down. As this was going on, the first generation of pups, who were starting to get a fair way past the one-year mark, came out to play. All in all, the place they had decided to camp became a area filled with bodies running around. Nat was sure that if the gorillas were in better shape, then they would have been made to join in on the physical activity. After all, muscle takes a while to build up, but lack of use causes it to rapidly deteriorate.
Hours later, as the sun set, the four victims of Shannon's regiment collapse near the fire pit in the middle of their camp. Heavy breaths are heard all around as they try to regain any form of stability. As they do, platters filled with their dinners are placed beside them. Tonight was burritos, and they were made to be large and in charge. Their average size is close to Nat's bicep, and close to bursting due to all of the fillings. Sour cream and cheese were in small amounts, but the well flavoured ground beef, crisp lettuce and juicy chunks of tomato fill the sacks of flour to the brim. Despite their size, Nat manages to pack away three of them before feeling full, while her workout buddies each pack away double that. After each of them finish eating, they collapse back down, now ready for wherever the food coma may take them. Great tasting food immediately after exhausting themselves hits them hard, and scout quickly passes out. However, Nat could not allow herself nor Kali or Maia to fall victim to the pleasantness that they were feeling. After all, they had to plan for the future, and these two were the most equipped to carry out what Shannon and Natalie had in mind.

Together, they both keep the two female wolves awake while they go over their plan together. Thankfully, Nat knew that the two had most likely seen the earlier conflict through Nat's eyes, and would understand where they were coming from. Since Mike was not awake yet, all they had to go on was what Natalie felt through their bond, but that alone was terrifying enough for most of them. Kali and Maia waited for the two of them to finish explaining before bringing up their thoughts on the matter. Context matters, and right now any miscommunication or lack of understanding meant that they would be playing with their own lives as the stakes. However, as Nat and Shannon finished explaining their thoughts on the matter, Kali immediately interjected. "You both are being blind and idiotic right now, but your hearts are in the right place." Both women get taken aback by the bluntness that Kali hit them with. After all, being blunt and to the point was not usually a human trait. Most people enjoyed dancing around the issue with subtleties and coyness. It gave them a feeling of power and dominance in the conversation.
After getting gestured to continue, Kali explained her reasoning for the bluntness. "While I and probably all of the others agree that getting stronger and more versatile is needed, I feel as if you are being too lax about it. Sure, the nursing mothers and their children should not be getting put through the motions just yet, but for the already weaned children who are practicing hunting each and every day, it is far better for them to get acquainted with a new way of moving when they are younger. After all, they are still learning at that point, so something additional to learn won't be nearly as hard compared to trying to change their way of thinking when they get older."

Maia adds in, pointing her finger directly into Nat's chest, "You also need to be tougher to make sure that everyone joins in. You are letting everyone do as they want which, while we are safe is fine, we are not. This is a time of danger and severity, and you are letting the pack weaken by not using your authority as the Alpha. Leading by example by starting to workout is a start, but you need to be rougher with everyone. For their own good. For the Pack's good." At that, the two wolves headed off towards the tent, ready to call it a night themselves.
Both Nat and Shannon were dumbstruck, as they both had not realized either of these facts. Sure, coddling kids was nice, but learning earlier would make them be stronger and more efficient at using their shifted bodies. If anything, they should be forcing every canine to only be in their shifted bodies, even when asleep. And with Maia's statement, Nat wondered how much these two had been holding everything together behind the scenes. All because she had been letting down the pack in her efforts to keep getting everyone stronger. The answer was not a question of quantity but quality, especially now that the monsters were starting to do the same. Nat had not even realized before that she was holding everyone back, instead of being a driving force to improve. After all, a pack followed their leader, and she was currently in that seat.
At that time, the coyotes came out for their night watch, but not until after they had shifted. They even brought out some training weights with them, showing that they very clearly heard and watched the whole encounter. While Edwin and Copper both just went straight to their locations to keep a lookout, Lucille stayed behind if only to ruffle Nat's hair. As Nat looked up to see her attacker, she saw that Lucille's face was full of trust, as well as a playful smirk. Knowing that they wanted to tough it out and get stronger alongside her, showed Nat that Maia had been right. She had been too soft on a bunch of predators, and starting tomorrow, she would start bringing out her inner wolf to set them straight.

Feast or Famine
Morgan Mallory was a perfectly ordinary college student until she was whisked away to another world full of strange creatures and wondrous magic. She is completely mentally stable, has no childhood trauma to speak of, and has certainly never engaged in self-destructive behavior as a form of punishment and emotional regulation. Morgan has always dreamed of getting isekai’d like the heroes in her favorite light novels, and she wants nothing more than to emulate those heroes. She has always wanted to help those less fortunate than herself, to stand up for the weak, and to be a righteous heroine who puts the needs of others before her own wants. And she has absolutely, positively, definitely never fantasized about murdering thousands, controlling minds, and pursuing total world domination. Trust her. The original version of the first book was published on RR in 2019 and has since seen multiple revisions based on reader feedback with this one as the final and official fourth version before the second book. While the entire series story has undergone major changes in the last year, all books have been planned since the beginning of writing. It is also my second wish to eventually make this story into a webcomic, either by myself or with a team if possible. Thank you for taking this journey with me, and enjoy reading! ( You can alternatively read books in the series as standalone fictions, but they connect to one another though a running theme and mystery that evolves and progresses with the main character. ) Alternate Blurb for the Singularity Cycle series: Essairyn had never felt truly alive on Earth. It felt like something was missing ever since she was born, but even after nearly 20 years of mundane living, she could never pinpoint what this or the emptiness in her heart was. Suddenly, she awakens in a grandiose, primordial forest and encounters mythical creatures beyond her restless imagination in a parallel world called Sol'h'meyr. She befriends, in particular, a sassy fox-spirit named Akari who reincarnated after three millennia. Essairyn is gifted with abnormal magic, and Akari is being chased by those of her dark past. Together, they set out on an adventure in a world more dangerous than its beautiful facade could hide. Finding new friends along a path riddled with tragedy, Essairyn must learn who to trust as deceit and betrayal lie behind kindly faces. Life in this deceptively promising world slowly spirals down a path of no return. This is not a game, but cruel reality. Her simple adventure became the modest beginnings in a chain of disruptions that tore even the dimensional fabric of time and space. No one, not even Essairyn, was who she thought they were. And not even the fickle gods could change the time-worn destiny of the universes... A single promise shook eternity’s existence.

Binary of Life and Death
Monsters, gold, chaos, glory, adventure, what more could attract two of the greatest players of all time to Sugarea, the most popular MMORPG of its time. But everyone makes errors, and unfortunate for these two brilliant players, they have made the grave mistake of not actually sleeping like normal humans and missed out on the very moment the new Dark Legion update would take effect. Or did they? They wake in what seems familiar yet not, but they soon realize their predicament. They are inside their game avatar's bodies! A half-Demon and a Dragonoid are now struggling with more than just power, these two men have to find their new purpose and calling in a completely different world. Will they concur it like ordinary land or will they enlighten the planet into equality? Do figures pull strings in the dark or is everything open to the public eye? Nothing is certain except the unknown, and nothing is ever as it seems... This is an Isekai story, as such, some parts may sound either cliché or similar to others, but I assure you, I tried to prevent that. To make it known, I took quite a lot of inspiration from the light novel/anime Overlord, but that doesn't mean it's a direct rip-off of it. You'll find there to be quite the amount of differences. Just a little heads up as well, you should expect irregular uploads, as it takes me a long time to write each chapter. I am currently trying for once every other week on Sundays around 10:00 A.M. Chapters are usually 7k words and up, with the longest (chapter 3) being 10.3k words. So, if you like to sit down and read a long chapter every two weeks at 10:00 A.M. EST on Sundays, then you can waste your time here! Small disclaimer: Profanity is far and few between, and mostly used by side characters, rarely the main character. When something with gore happens, I describe to the best of my ability, which will only get better the longer I write this... :) Small cuts between perspectives happen, and can hide what some characters do, which will be revealed in future chapters, I'm not that lazy... all the time... There are some parts that are long blocks of text, most, if not all, of them, are characters talking, but I try not to info dump. I know one of the tags says "Psychological", and for the most part, it is, but it's not as prominent as other stories, instead, it's more hidden and scattered, but I did try to make the pieces I did reveal all fit together. Cover art is bound to be changed when I have a good picture to use, so the Yin-Yang is a placeholder for now unless yall wanna gimme something to use *wink wink nudge nudge*. So yeah, please give it a try, as I have nothing better to do with my life, and I am banking solely off of a career in literature and am hoping that I can create a story that can actually be called something more than a child's imagination running wild. The eventual and inevitable end to the story won't be for a long while, at least till chapter 40 or so. I have thought long and hard about the message and themes at play, so I hope you, the reader (who has some amazing hair btw), can enjoy and partake on this adventure with me into my dark empty pit of an imagination.

But you wold think that it was all wrong, that there is no other world that could replace this one. But this story is not about facts and legends, it’s about this other world, this other dimension that you would never know was there. It’s about how these seven young people came to find this world and what they found in it was nothing that you could believe could happen... The main character is a dipshit and he has friends that hang around him for some reason maybe because he is special. :-? He wishes to be somewhere else like in a set of big plump breasts. Instead he ends up in a world where the lizards breathe fire and have wings... Well he's fucked (the characters have not much of a description. so I have created the characters so that whoever is reading this can imagine what the characters look like for themselves. I have done it this way because I find it easier to imagine the characters facual apperiences when I read a book and I do believe that other people would agree with what I have said.)

My Haunted Academia(mha au) | DISCONTINUED
(I'm no longer updating this as I've lost all interest in it, but feel free to read the mess of what this was)Magic and monsters are indeed real. At least, that's what Deku thinks. He's heard many stories around his village about a safe haven for monsters deep in the forest. And it's safe to say that he's a big fan of these stories, along with his best friend; Bakugo. Since the death of his mother, and disappearance of his father, Deku sees no reason why they shouldn't go check it out. What will they find as the explore the haunted halls of UA? Monsters? Magic? A curse in which they can't escape? It's perfectly possible. At least, that's what they think. ......and they just might be right. (I've had this idea for a while now, and I think it's cool! FYI though, some chapters won't have a plot and will mainly be filler, but they're still good! Also none of the backgrounds are mine, and neither are the characters. This is a parody of the show My Hero Academia)
