《Congratulations, You're Dead!》# 95

Kacey and Clara got themselves drunk fairly quickly, which was probably a good thing since the rest of the villagers started pestering Gwynne to release her pheromones shortly after dessert. A few eevn wanted us to join in, but we had our own celebration planned. So, the girls and I tucked the teenager and her new friend away in the small house that Kacey had chosen for herself, before retiring to our place.
An unfamiliar tickling sensation draws me from sleep's embrace. "Morning sleepy head." Amelia says while tracing her nails across my arm stump. "Your arm is looking good, it this speed keeps up your should have an elbow again by tomorrow."
"Yeah, looks it." I say through a big yawn.
"Think you could spare a little vitality to give me a pick me up." She says and very carefully shifts positions. "I'm just a wee bit sore."
"I don't know, it was your idea to draw in some of those dragon pheromones last night." I tease, but conjure some Healing Sap for her all the same.
"Nng, where's mine?" Apricot groans. "Ahh!" And then, moans as it kicks in. "How on Earth do those girls do that every week?"
"Probably because they don't have to deal with Super Sorrel here." Amelia then looks around the destroyed furniture that litters the room. "Where did Mittens run off to last night?"
"He went to explore the village last night, he's... sunning himself on the dragon's head right now."
"Ooh, hot springs. Yes!" Amelia doesn't even bother standing up, she just floats off the bed, taking the blanket with her.
"Nnh, no fair." Apricot shrinks down to normal size and dive's between her wife's breasts.
"A bath sounds good." I'm about to join them when Marcus calls. "Oh no, not again?!" I mutter before accepting the call.
"Hi... Sorrel." His sheepish tone tells us that he did do it again, and I have to block out the girl's laughter to keep them from embarrassing him any more than he already must be. "It, uh... happened again"
"..." I let out an exasperated sigh. "Did you keep the charger, or give it back to Bartlett?"
"I... kept it, it looked like it had a lot of mana left in it."
"Yeah, it should have." Another sigh. "Okay, send it back over to my place, I can fill it up from here. I'll just have to call Kyle and have him attach it to a Mana conduit for me. I'll even leave a big Stone hooked up to the line so you can just go over and top it off every morning."
"...Thanks. I really, really appreciate this."
"Say no more... please. Hahahah." I can't help but laugh. "Alright, I'll let you go... Have fun."
"Okay, when are you going to build that bounce room for us?" Apricot demands once I hang up.
"Maybe I should add one to the meeting hall, and we can join in next time and get the full effect." I tease my pixie before wrapping my arm around Amelia and floating over to the hotsprings with her.
"If you think you can fix a village full of broken pelvises, I might just let you." Amelia jokes. "I knew you normally held back, but damn..." She pauses at the sheepish look on my face. "No!"
"Yeah." I shrug. "I put the all the free points from the worm into physical stats to help with drawing on the tree. It was enough to push me over the threshold like when I got the perfect recall."

""Nnh."" They both groan and grab their crotches in the same instant.
"Oh, knock it off." I roll my eyes. "You saw me out muscle a dragon, you already knew I was strong."
""Hahahah."" They just laugh at their little joke and dive into the steaming hot water, apricot shifting back to human size now that she can be warm again.
I follow at a more sedate pace and call Kyle while they soak in the hot end. Luckily I ran a branch of conduit from Circle Orchard when we passed through. Right now, this hotspring is the only thing that's been enchanted, even though I did run the conduit throughout town yesterday.
"So, you know that chicken you made last night?" Apricot sidles up next to me after the call. "Do you think you can manage the same with bacon and eggs?"
"Mmm, good idea." I kiss her and get started on it. "Aside from two little girls with very big hang-overs, the rest of the town is still out cold. So, with any luck I should be able to have it down by the time they wake."
"Are you going to heal them?" Amelia asks while floating on her back, spinning herself in a lazy circle with jets of Water Magic.
"Oh, I think they earned their first hang-overs." I chortle. "Hopefully this will teach them to drink more responsible in the future. But, don't worry. I'm not heartless, I did at least leave a big pitcher of water next to their bed."
"I suppose that's fair."
...
"Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey." I wave a plate under Gwynne's nose, as she's the last one still asleep on one of the soft benches lining the hall. "Man, what did you girls do to her last night? Not even bacon is waking her up." I send the scent straight up her nose, to no avail.
"Oh, she's always like this the next morning." Lana say while biting into her own breakfast. "But, I think whatever you did to her made her powers stronger, we were a bit... enthusiastic last night."
"Don't gotta tell me about it." Amelia grumbles around a forkfull of pancakes.
"Yeah, someone decided to pipe some of the air from here into our bedroom lastnight." I explain with a grin on my face to the villagers confused faces. "They both needed healing this morning before they could get out of bed."
"No?! Hahaha." A wave of quiet laughter spreads throughout the hall, Kacey and Clara not being the only ones with a hangover. "Well, I guess we're lucky you three didn't join us last night."
"Nnng. Food." The dragon actually sounds like a dragon as she growls out her monosylabic demand. I smile and float an extrafull plate over to Gwynne, who just starts shoveling it into her mouth. "More... please." Another growl, but at least she remembered her manners.
"Are you amongst the living once again?" I tease her once she's devoured another plate.
"Nnh." She finally looks around to see everyone smiling at her. "Better wipe those smirks off your faces or I'm gonna cut you off for at least a month." Her grumbled threat may not have gotten rid of their smiles, but they did at least try to hide them.
"Another plate?" I ask as she gets up to join us at the tables.
"Yes, please." She plops hersefl down between Amelia and Lana. "Extra bacon, and a pitcher of that juice too."

"Coming right up." I say with a smile and dig into my own meal.
"Any chance I can get you to just fill my inventory with bacon?" Gwynne says once we finish eating.
"Even for a dragon, that's probably a bit too much bacon." I tease. "But speaking of inventories, you're still holding onto everyone's stuff. Did you all find spots you liked?" I ask the crowd at large, and recieve answers in the affirmative. "Okay, just go to whatever house you picked out and I'll move your stuff in for you."
"Are we still going to fill the lake today?" Gwynne asks after we all troop outside and the women run off to their new homes.
"Yeah, should we do it before or after I install the Runes for everyone."
"Before." She looks out over the empty hole that will soon be a lake. "I really want to see what the place will look like once that's filled, and the waterfalls are running."
Our plans set, it only takes me a few minutes to move everyone's stuff, and most of that was just waiting to the women to get to the places they picked out. I only knew which place Kacey picked out because I've been keeping an 'eye' out for Clara.
"Alright everyone, we're going to go get the water for the lake now, it's past time that Dragon Falls got its falls." I project my voice throughout the village. "Don't forget to make those lists of anything you want or need, I really do want to make this place the hidden jewel of Arcadia."
"You coming with us buddy?" Amelia scratches Mittens under his chin. He looks back and forth between the nice warn stone of the dragon's head, and the nice warm cleavage of Amelia's before nodding and letting her pick him up and put him in his favorite resting spot.
"He looked a little torn there for a moment." Apricot laughs. "I think he misses Elle's boobies, I know I do."
"Just a few more hours sweetie." I pull her into a hug from behind and kiss her neck. "I want to see if we can make it to Riverton in less than an hour."
"Isn't it going to be hard for you to ride the motorcycle without your arm?" The look on Amelia's face is more mischievious than concerned though. "And, Gwynne doesn't know how to ride one yet. You should probably sit behind and teach her."
'So, that's her plan.' I think to myself with an inward smile.
"Wouldn't you like that Gwynne?" Amelia stalks up to the dragon. "To have Sorrel pressed up behind you, his vines wrapped around you as we race down the road?"
"..." A loud gulping noise comes from the dragoness, and she swiftly nods her head.
"Come on Apricot, you can ride with me and Mittens." Amelia materializes her bike, and puts the kitten in his basket. "How did you put it the other day? 'I want something rumbly betweeen my thighs.'" The pixie laughs and hops on behind Amelia. "Well, what are you waiting for?"
Gwynne just gets a stupid look on her face before mounting my bike, and involuntary gasp runs through her as I start it for her. "Let's ride." I say and hop on.
Gwynne gets the hang of the controls quickly and it's not long before we pass through the dungeon town and can really pick up speed. She's still a bit nervous about being so close to me, and keeps looking over at Amelia who's riding next to us.
"Alright Sorrel, let's show her what real speed is." Amelia guns it and shoots out ahead. But, not before using her new Air magic to send a message just for me. "You've been so good about this, that I think you deserve a treat. Feel free to tease her all you want for the next hour."
***
"They're getting away." I breathe into Gwynne's ear. Wrapping my left arm and vine tightly around her waist, I send my right vine snaking along her arm. Stroking her hand slighty before grasping it and making her rev the throttle. "See, just like that."
She lets out a shuddering scream as we go up on just one wheel, but I don't let her hand go. Instead, I just lean into her and take the opportunity to reposistion my grip on her body.
Shooting Amelia a wink as we pass her, I keep up the wheelie until Gwynne finally quits screaming. Only to make her start again as I drop us onto two wheels without warning.
"Now, you're getting it." My lips brush her earlobe this time. "You just keep that throttle all the way open, and let me handle everything else." There may have been a slight squeeze when I said the word handle.
"Amelia?" Gwynne asks fearfully.
"Is happy to let me tease you for the rest of the ride because she knows it's going to drive you even more wild when she doesn't let you fuck me later." I can feel the look of heat Amelia sends me as she listens in on this line.
"Nnh." The dragoness whimpers as I grind the hardness in my pants against her bottom.
"But she gave me a time limit, so we've got to go a bit faster than this." I will the air to part for us, causing our speed to rapidly rise even faster. "Do you like... going fast?" I say while slowly drawing my vines up her thighs.
"Faster please." She pants.
"Oh?" My vines pause, drawing another whimper from her lips. "I suppose we can go faster." My vines stay in place, but I manipulate even more magic to drive our speed up. "We're at almost five-hundred kilometers an hour now. Do you still want to go faster?"
"Yes, anything." She's squirming in place, pressing herself against my erection while trying to get my vines to go higher without taking her hands from the speeding bike.
"Well, there is one trick I've been wanting to try." My vines slide home and grip her tight as I channel pure motion magic to drive our two bikes up to five. six. almost seven-hundred kilometers an hour. "Is this fast enough for you?"
"Yes!" She moans as my tentacles tease her dampness through the thin fabric of her skirt.
"Can you really keep this up the whole way? Even if I do this?" I will the front of my pants away and slide my cock between her and the seat, so that only a single layer of fabric separates us. "You're not going to lose control even though this is as close as Amelia's ever going to let you get?"
"I'll be good." She whines. "I'll do anything you want, just please... Let me have it."
It's a good thing I've long since taken control of both bikes beacuse when I look over to Amelia she seems like she desperately want to say yes, but only closes her eyes and shakes her head.
"Oh, sorry Gwynnie. It's not mine to give away." She screams in frustration when I say that. "See, it's little temper tantrums like that make Amelia think you need more punishment." I tweak her nipple hard with the only hand I have left.
"Ahn!" She cries out and tries to lift her hands from controlling the bike.
"Uh uh uh." I taunt as I lock her in place. "You don't want us to crash do you?" I give her thoroughly drenched pussy a smack. "Bad dragon." I pull my cock out so it's not resting underneath her any more, and restore my pants. "No cockie."
"Fuck, I can't take it anymore." Tears run down her cheeks as I hold her on the edge of orgasm. "Please just let me cum. I'm sorry I attacked you, I'm sorry I took your arm, I sorry I couldn't control myself and nearly killed you."
"That's what I wanted to hear." I up the intensity enough to finally send her over the edge. "You only ever apologized for 'how your treated me', but what the fuck kind of half-assed apology is that. You bit off my fucking arm and never said a word about it." I scream as my vines make her scream for an entitrely different reason. "I just wanted to hear you admit it." I breath out once my rage leaves me.
"Oh gods, Sorrel." I let her twist around to look at me. "I-I... You're absolutely correct, all I ever gave you was that one shitty apology. I almost killed you and then just brushed it off. Even now, I only said it so you'd let me cum. I am sorry, Sorrel. I attacked you, I bit off half your arm, made you cut off the rest of it so my poison wouldn't kill you. I almost... I almost killed someone who just wanted to help. I'm sorry, and I should have said so a long time ago." She whispers and collapses against me.
"About time." Amelia breathes out a relieved sigh. "We like you, and all... But, damn! You really can be a bit dense. Sorrel, can we stop for a bit?"
"Yeah." I say while patting the back of a crying dragon. "Come on Gwynne." Once we stop, I pick her up and carry her over to a conjured sofa. "Look, I'm sorry it came to this, I really was just planning to tease you today. But, I'm glad you finally realized what your true fuckup was."
"You've done so much for me and my girls, and you've been so nice." She sniffles. "And even when you weren't, I thought that was just you helping me bring out my dragon. Or, you know, just for sex."
"Gwynne." I sigh and stare her straight in the eyes. "Did you really think we weren't still angry? That I couldn't have found a better way to get you in tune with your draconic nature than humiliating you in the middle of the woods? And the sex... well, we definitely took that too far. But, love and hate are powerful emotions, and it's easy to get them mixed up, and those damned pheromones of yours didn't help."
"No we don't hate you." Amelia says as fresh tears coat Gwynne's cheeks. "We hate what you did to us, how you made us feel."
"What you almost made Sorrel do." Apricot adds. "I told you this before, but if it wasn't for his staff acting on its own, he would have killed you. And, it would have torn him apart more than your fangs ever could."
"Okay, I may have willfully ignored some stuff." The weeping woman admits. "But, you really were nice, and the sex really was good. Yes, even the rough stuff." She rushes out before we can rebut. "As angry as you were, you never took it too far. Can we, I don't know, start over or something?"
"How about we just move forward instead." I say and offer her a handkerchief. "We know where we all stand now, and can take it one step at a time from here."
"That works for me." She tries to clean up her blubbery face with the cloth I gave her before just giving up and using magic. "So, what now?"
"We've still got a lake to fill up." I smile and pull her to her feet. "And, maybe tonight we can have a little fun without the rough stuff."
"Maybe just a little rough?" Gwynne asks with a shy smile.
"I think we can manage that." I smack her on the ass. "Now get back on the bike, my hour isn't up yet." She hops to, and I'm about to join her when Amelia stops me for a second.
"Try to keep it in your pants this time." She licks her lips. "I don't want to be flying down the road when I watch you fuck her for the first time." She then smacks me on my surprised ass before mounting her bike, a grinning Apricot snuggling up behind her.

Author's note: You are reading a first draft, written mostly while drinking cheap whiskey. Expect it to read like hot garbage and I guarantee that it’ll meet your expectations. I’m a storyteller, not a writer - there’s a huge difference between the two professions. IMPORTANT! This story is told in a first-person limited, conversational style, with Emmett occasionally breaking the 4th wall and addressing the reader directly. This means that YOU and Emmett may have absolutely no idea why stuff is happening, because there will be little or no exposition or other POV's. Read the comments for spoilers, ask questions if you want to know something. This work incorporates blended aspects of Xianxia, Wuxia, Super powers, and Western Magic into a post-apocalyptic fantasy adventure. It is none of those things and all those things, mashed together. The MC is Over Powered, but so are many, many others. He just hasn't met them yet. Dear Student, What follows is an adaption of the diary of Emmett Carter before his Ascension. While the decades during and after the Aurora Apocalypse are lost to us, the Ascended himself has allowed us to publish this work so long as we warn the reader that it may not be entirely accurate or present an unbiased viewpoint of the events. One should also note that the Aurora was in flux during that time and some things that were possible in the early days are no longer possible, especially with the advent of the Akashic record. Editors have included footnotes when possible to explain pre-aurora technologies or concepts and how they relate to current magical technologies. The contents of this work may upset readers. If you’ve ever been in a natural disaster, had a house fire, witnessed a murder, lost a loved one to violence, or have a strong opinion on the sanctity of life, please do not read this. It contains dramatic scenes of a world in the throes of an apocalyptic event. There are no rainbows and unicorns, only loss, uncertainty, and death while the survivors struggle to rebuild their lives. Updates Thursdays and Sundays for now. Word count is about 2000 ~ 4000ish per chappie.

Though it's a standard novel with Reincarnation and Cultivation 'The Inheritor' is not a HAREM and it'll have Romance. The action might take the back seat in the first part of the book. About the Author This is my first novel or any attempt to write something so I'm pretty much a newbie trying to pen down the fantasies rolling in my mind. English isn't my First language so brace yourself for some grammatic potholes. But I'm genuinely working on improving my English but it won't be happening overnight as it's a process, I guess. (for the time being, I'm trying to make it readable with some Grammar checking software) Moreover, I wish to improve my writing skills as the story grows and readers help in spotting mistakes or critics might turn it into a reality.

It was said that reading takes a person to another world.. When I heard this for the first time, I considered it just one of the old women's exaggerations.. I did not imagine that it might actually happen!
