《[Discontinued] Armus : First Draft》Title Change and Reparation Program
Advertisement
Hello my dear readers! :ALLO:
This... is not a new chapter. :boworpushups:
This is a notice to inform you regarding the title change and my chapter reparation program or RP for short that has been ongoing for a while.
Q: Why did you change the title? I missed the damn update because I didn't recognise it, you moron!
A: Hey, I did put the old title in bracket.... T_T.....Armus was a temporary title from the time I had no idea what to do with the story (until chapter 4). I restrained myself from changing it until I've reached a point where my writing could be called 'decent'
Q: So what is this RP? Is it more important than the new chapter? HUUUHHHHH?
A: RP is my ongoing effort to better my previously horrendous chapters. As of 9th May 2015, I have fixed Chapters 1-6 bringing their grades from a D+ to perhaps a B- in terms of quality. Heh, A+ is out of reach for a first time amateur like me.
Q: Wait, you rewrote the chapters? Do I have to go back and read them now? You damn piece of #[email protected]$!
A: Woah, woah calm down! I did not rewrite them from scratch or add any new important information. Come on, that would be a dick move. What I DID do, are replacing awkward sentences, fleshing out scenes (oh god I finally managed to write out decent battle scenes) and changing the format to suit the latest chapters as of now (Chapter 25)
Q: WHERE IS MY NEW CHAPTER?!! GROARRRGHHHH!!!
A: O-o-on the way, please d-don't eat me! Okay, seriously it's in progress. I like to write a large part of the chapter at once so I don't forget the flow of events and my current schedule is not so lenient to allow me those precious long periods to finish the chapter. So, I settled for the less time consuming RP that is suitable with my current time slots.

Q: So... what is An Eternity's Coda? (AEC) Sounds weird, are you sure it's grammatical?
A: Well, that's the real title of this web novel! It has everything to do with this story. Huh, what's a Coda? I guess the most similar words to it are 'finale' or 'conclusion' or let's just say end. You can refer to the story as AEC or just regular old Armus. About whether it's grammatical or not.... I think so, well... at least it sounds profound/complex :D
Q: Why did you choose to launch the RP? Like seriously, why?
A: I realised that the several latest chapters I wrote had a.... different feel to it. I wouldn't call them bad or anything but... it just felt off, like things are taking a lighter mood, too light. I suppose it was an aftereffect from reading about 30+ volumes of a japanese LN (To Aru Majutsu No Index and its sequel New Testament). So in order to regain the earlier mood of my story, I revisit my old chapters and also read some western fantasy fictions (currently reading Mistborn Chronicles, I'm at book 2 :D). I believe that the vast imagination of Eastern Fantasy (Japanese in this case) could be combined well with the detailed writing of Western Fantasy.
Q: I realised the RP: Batch One you stamped in red on the fixed chapters, what do they mean? DOES IT MEAN YOU'RE GONNA WASTE MORE TIME ON FIXING OLD CHAPTERS INSTEAD OF CHURNING NEW ONES??
A: RP: Batch One includes chapters 1-9. Batch Two will include several selected chapters (that I found to be lacking). Yeah, yeah, I know it's a bit cruel to make old readers wait, but come on.... I alternate between repairing and writing chapters.
Q: When are you going to pick up the pace again? The story is hella slow at the moment... what's up with several chapters talking about him picking classes?

A: I've thought so too, and don't worry because I plan to end the arc in another 10 chapters max (this is an estimated amount). Once the second arc ends, heh... comes the tricky parts for me to write.
Q: Well that's great and all, so when are you going to write me that new chapter?!
A: R-r-right now, sir!
Q: Why didn't you answer my question?
A: Forgive me milord, this humble servant of yours could not foresee your question. Please present it in the comments below and I shall etch its glorious wordings unto this unworthy post of mine.

Readers' question(s):
Q: When are you gonna add more chicks around Chase? Come on, that guy is like... an embarrassment to all males!
A: Oh um, I thought about this actually but then I couldn't find what to do with them once I add them in... so they'll turn out into some useless forgotten characters :wozy:. I plan on having a few female characters around him in the third arc. Oh yeah, this story is not a harem so I haven't really focused much on chicks falling in love with him and stuff. He'll get better with chicks soon, seeing female bodies in yoga class plenty of times would get him bored with it.
Have a nice day!

8 2995HUD: Wargame (Sci-Fi GameLit)
★★★★★UNFRIGGENBELIEVABLE!!!!!! "HUD: Wargame is a sci-fi GameLit worth reading." -TienSwitch ★★★★★Rock-solid FPS GameLit. "Nic - the main character - is an ambitious, hyper-competitive perfectionist, and the story fortunately handles him correctly in that it does not push these traits too far." -Akaso ★★★★★This is a good one! "This is one of those stories where you read the first few paragraphs and can just tell that the author has the chops to tell a story. It's engaging and the rules are well thought out and clearly explained. The action is punchy and exciting. Anyway, read it." -HonourRae In the future, everything is a game. Even war. 18-year-old Nic Sigfried wants the high score. Virtually piloting a real-life robot, he'll face off against his peers with the help of his AI guidance system, RTIFIS. The prize? New worlds across the galaxy that are ripe for human conquest and terraforming. It sounds glamorous on paper, but this job might be more dangerous than he thought... HUD: Wargame is the first of a five-part sci-fi series featuring GameLit elements. HUD: Wargame contains some (simulated) violence and very sparing PG-13 profanity. Updates Monday-Thursday-Saturday.

A first person account of an unplanned trip to a secret moon base, where I make new and interesting friends, reopen the moon's most amazing backalley bar, and rediscover the long forgotten secrets of lunar land speed racing and the moon's first hot rod club... and then some. Soon to be a campy, direct to DVD B-movie featuring Bruce Campbell as "Al"! (No, not really... but it sounds good in my head.) I write a better story than a synopsis, I promise.

I've never been a person who would just tell you what I'm dealing with, so writing and music helps me.This is how I express myself, it's chaotic and far from perfect.
