Arn kept his feet and reached for his sword as more wargs exploded from the trees. One latched onto his sword arm, while another tore into his calf. Arn reached for his dagger, but a weight smashed into him from behind knocking him forward onto his hands and knees. Arn knew his life was actually at risk, and he reached inside for the horror of dying, unleashing Death’s Scream first left and right. The warg rushing from the left staggered to a stop, frozen, but the warg on the right’s momentum sent him crashing onto Arn.
Arn started stabbing frantically with his dagger. “Die! I’m a flipping Titan of Legend! The great and mighty Warg Sla”… Arm felt a thunk, and saw an arrow sprout from his arm. Arn yelled “careful damn…” as blinding pain erupted on the side of his head. Arn tried to turn for another scream, but in doing so exposed his neck, which the warg gladly took. Arn blacked out.

Arn woke with the cool sensation of level-up provided healing flooding through him, confused by blackness. As Arn began choking on the fur of a dead warg, he slowly realized where he was and began flailing to push the warg off. Staggering to his feet, Arn noticed the arrow sticking out of his arm, saw four warg corpses and the two girls climbing down from their tree stand.

Mara greeted him with “ugh, Arn there is a flap of flesh partially attached to your cheek. Rip that off before I vomit.” Arn did as asked, “thanks for shooting me by the way, that was a new thing for me. Good to break up the monotony of being chewed on.” Mara scowled, “well if the mighty Titan of Legend hadn’t been so busy singing the praises of flipping jerky, and had actually noticed his surroundings, we might have had time to actually aim rather than worrying about saving your worthless hide.” Arn reddened, but Taya cut off his retore, “enough! We killed four, and it looks like Arn got one of those, everyone is alive so good job! But five got away, at least two, maybe three with our arrows in them. If you are functional Arn, we can track and end these bastards!”
Are raised his bloody arm, answering “I’ll be fine if one of you can help me pull the cursed arrow out! But five is a lot to fight on the ground, yeah?” Maya nodded, “much as I hate to admit it, Arn is right. There is no guaranty the ones we shot are all that injured, and it’s also possible that there are more wargs out scouting that could rejoin the pack. If we are attacked by five functional wargs, never mind more, we are, bare minimum, going to both look like Arn. Lets head back.”
Taya sighed. “Ok, ok. We’ll get them next time. Arn, Mara and I will tie one to a stick and carry it. If you can carry one of them with an intact pelt, its worth 3 or 4 silver.” Arn nodded, “I’m all for some silver. I don’t have a lot of clothes that aren’t shredded, and I need like a dozen things before the Festival. But if we are all carrying wargs, we will be just meat if they attack, right? I’ve done that once today already.” Tara explained, “should be fine if we aren’t chasing them. And I want a new dress for the dance!” Arn sighed.

Arn blushed, asking “hey. Um, about that whole Titan of Legend thing? Could we possibly keep that between ourselves?” Both girls laughed hysterically. Arn scowled. “Very funny, really. I’m laughing inside. See, the arrow shaking? That’s how you can tell. Now maybe one of you could, oh I don’t know, crazy idea here, but maybe PULL IT OUT? Pretty please? I’ll be your best friend! Or you’re warg bait. Stick with what your good at and all that.” The girls looked at each other and fell into another laughing fit.

Looking forward to any constructive criticism, however, i already have in mind, the entire plot and tone of the story, any revisions based on feedback will likely only be considered upon completion. As of now starting out, i haven't really settled on a timeline for regular updates But I aiming for at least two chapters a week at about 2000 words each. I will promise at least one chapter of that size at least once a week, until completion. I'm rather determined to put this story on paper ( or web page i guess).
