《Forging his own destiny》chapter 066

I was consumed by rage. In every possible meaning.
“… six familiars… what kind of monster is he?!”
I am the kind of monster that was always rejected, the one who was paid with contempt for the kindness I showed. I am the one who will always be perceived as either a threat or tool if I would not hide my identity. And finally, I am the last thing you want to meet in a dark alley.
“Nature… my mother, hear the call of your child…” I raised my hand “Lend my powers that dwell within one’s heart. For I am the keeper of ancient flame… that is sworn to devourer the life that they claim”
From my palm a stream of fire was shot in the direction of the Blonde that hid behind a pillar of ice.
“I will give you an advice for the future, you mindless whore, next time you walk past a sleeping dragon, turn around, and walk back while holding your breath. It is not recommended to poke him with a stick… not to say about offending him… or maybe you have a death wish? I am curious, if the magic they used to protect your life is keeping you safe only from direct attack, you see, I can force you to die from heart failure caused by shock and pain… wanna test that?”
There was some commotion from the audience. Looks like I can kill you that way. Teeeemptiiing…
The pillar broke and I moved in the direction if Blondie. I was watching you carefully, my loves. I know you pattern. Looks like you trained your fight only within practice ground. For example, Blondie and her water whip usage. It is basically a steam of water and to make it into actual weapon you need to force it into movement, to generate momentum. It means that before you will attack, you will have to drag the whip behind you, just like a normal one. Also if you want to change the trajectory of the end of a whip, you will have to start movement much earlier than that. And it is actually easy to predict where it will hit just by watching how your whip is twisting.
The Brunette on the other hand… she can attack only in straight lines, those attacks are fast, but also need preparation. You lift the drop of the water to your eye level, start rotating it, and somehow you generate the pure power from this rotation on the back of your bullet. After 3-4 seconds you are able to shoot it using the already mentioned generated power. The piercing power is nothing to laugh at, but once again, you are using it as if you have learned it from book. Always 3-4 seconds. Just by looking when you have started the rotation process, it is easy to tell when the bullet would be shot and how much time it would take for it to reach me. And as the trajectory is a perfectly straight line… all I need to do is to move aside.
So here I kept marching forward. I haven’t used magic this time, just by walking to the sides to avoid the whip, or stopping my movement for a second to let them a bullet fly right through the place I was supposed to be. Predicting your prediction… Of girl, I was playing LOL for long enough to make such a task a piece of cake! Honestly! Have you ever grabbed someone with Blitzcrank as they flashed? I AM BLOODY DIAMOND MAIN SUPPORT GOD DAMN IT! DO NOT UNDERSITIMATE MY POWER! TWAH! SON OF A! That’s what happens when you get distracted, I have completely forgot about you, my love!

“It would be better if you just stayed in the corner and wait for the end, Ruby…”
From this trio, she was definitely the best. Bending the trajectory of her projectiles, as they were mid-air. Raising defending walls and shooting at same time. Dual casting, with some efforts, but fluently. She also had the widest range of attack.
“That is enough” She whispered “Why are you doing it!? It is excessive cruelty! You never were like that!” “You are… indeed right. Back where I came from, there is a saying “The one, who is fighting with a beast should be careful, for he can become a beast himself… as you look at the abyss, the abyss looks within you”… and were was I forced to live, my love?” I chuckled, but by the gods, there was no joy in this laugh “Every moment there changed me… I was hunting by animals, and then by humans. I was lying in the dirt covered in blood for hours. How could I stay the same?” “And excessive cruelty?” I shook my arms “You said nothing, as they were about to impale me with ice shard from every directions… stay were you are. I will finish this soon.”
I once again turned my face toward Blonde, yet I didn’t allowed myself to lose my focus this time and I was able to react as another ice spear flew my way. And I caught it with my bare hands throwing it aside.
“And I wanted to be somehow gentle with you.” I indeed wanted to do so! Humiliate her? Sure thing! Maybe then I would freak the shit out of her new boy-toy, but that’s it.
With satisfaction I noticed that Kaito stopped thrashing the tiger on everything he could find. I think I have already mentioned that tiger was small? Maybe medium-dog sized. And Kaito was horse sized… He actually was able to hold his whole belly with his jaws. In the same moment Walter once again dropped from afar the… thing. It had some kind of scales on itself so the task of smashing it wasn’t the easiest. It only made me even more proud, for Walter did not show any signs of becoming discouraged, and over and over again kept lifting it, flying high in the air, just to nose dive and drop it near the ground with all the speed he could generate, just to make yet another circle and repeat the whole process. Not very fair nor visually attractive, but definitely effective.
“We began with 3 vs 1… pardon Sebastian, 3 vs 2… You allowed yourself to change it into 6 vs 2… and now, here we stand the beginning of a 3 vs 7 match… And you thought that I was mocking you while I said that match would be, indeed, not fair at all.”
Ruby erected a pillar of ice shaped like a perfect cylinder. It was quickly divided into many discs like objects with really sharp looking edges. And they were sent flying one after another. She sent them in many different trajectories, a few vertically, a few horizontally and a few diagonally. My body was bigger because Leshy form, making physical maneuvering between those impossible, To make it even less attractive a water bullet was also shot at me by the brunette. Blondie was getting herself up from the ground.
I am starting to get… annoyed.
After raising my hands, with my palms forming fists in the air, I hit the ground with them after casting mana shock wave. The explosion caused by this movement was strong enough to push every projectile out of the wave… But it was enough to truly enrage me. Why can’t I control myself? Why am I so mad? In every situation I was mocking my enemies for being enraged. I wanted them to be enraged. They were making mistakes while focusing not on themselves, but on opponents. So why am I doing the very same thing?

I touched the ground with both hands. Greg came to me covering my body with his branch -arms, buying me time. I focused my attention at the trees that appeared within arena. On their roots, to be precise. And accelerated grow while manipulating the direction of that grow.
Those roots spread rapidly from the ground catching those two girls, I did try to do thesame with Ruby, but she reacted quickly freezing the root that was about to grab her, completely nullifying any possible threat.
I wanted to show Blondie, how properly used whip could be useful. Yet I doubt that she could copy that move with water… it can’t really grab anything. The root lifted her over 5 meters above just to smash her on the floor the whip movement getting faster with every second.
Normally she would be changed into more or less a bloody pulp by it… damned protecting magic. Looks like she barely passed out.
The brunette was being choked by vine attached to her neck, as it lift her, so her feet were not touching ground. She was kicking the air as her nails were scratching the plant. Soon she lost too much oxygen and she also passed out. With annoyance I discovered, that I can’t make her neck snap. Simply can’t. Like there was something in the way… or my vine had not enough strength. Damned. Magic.
I focused my whole attention at Ruby that was breathing heavily.
“It is a nice time to surrender, don’t you think?” Don’t do it! I want to dance with you one more time. “And let the opportunity to kick your ass just pass?” She smiled weakly.
That’s my girl.
There were no more words said. After three seconds we began to madly throw spells at each other. Two sickles formed ice shards that were flying my way from sides as I casted bolt of darkness right at her. This bolt was stopped by a ice pillar and I simply stepped forward to avoid the sickles. Normally it wouldn’t be enough, for she could change directions, but her vision was disturbed by the pillar she erected to protect herself.
She made dozens of small ice needles and sent them my way. As a response I send two explosive bolts, one after another, in the same line. So first one was blocking the vision of the one behind it.
As first bolt was passing by needles, I activated it. An explosion melted most of the needles and trajectory of the rest was changed so much, that it was pointless to even bother Ruby with trying to once again I send them at me.
But the explosion did something more. The dust and steam covered the vision of second bolt that was already in mid way between Zari and Ruby. She barely had time to react. Because the pillar was to close the explosion did have a small impact on her shaking her posture. As she regained it, she noticed that Zari was in middle of some complicated spell weaving process. To not lose to much time she began to bombard the position of Zari with storms of extremely small ice shards. They were unfinished, having almost no damaging value. They were cast only to make Zari stop the chant process. In heat of battle she didn’t noticed that no words were being said during this chant.
As she was sure that the chant would be stopped thanks to the needles, with terror she noticed that the body of Zari… vanished. With the corner of her eyes she saw the very small, black and grey bird with attention focused on the place where Zari was a second ago. Can’t be… A familiar with illusion magic?!
The real Zariel materialized running at her. Only three meters were separating them now. No time to do anything.
Last thing she remembered was powerful blow to her solar plexus, that made her lose her breath, and then faint. Before the blow, she was able to whisper a few more words.
I was panting in the middle of the arena. If it was up to me, I would prefer to change the order of knocked enemies… mostly because I wanted to spend some more time with Blondie, you know, a lowly dinner, then walk through the park, just to finish the night whit magnificent the event of eating her liver.
Looks like we can’t have everything.
I shifted my gaze back at the audience. I saw that greenish barrier I never noticed was being disintegrated.
“That would be all for tonight, ladies and getlemens, thank you for coming. We are gladly are humbly inviting you for tomorrows performance, to the Circus under the Flying Dutchman.” I said while bowing and shifting back to my normal “And speaking honestly. I would allow myself to leave you know, I am a bit exhausted and would like to rest a little.”
I didn’t really pay attention to what chairman was saying. More or less, from the tone of his voice, I deducted that he was allowing me to take well deserved rest, that they are grateful that I showed myself up, took a part in that parade… pardon me, gathering. They are happy that I was merciful enough to lower my power, and they are humbly asking for forgiveness for events that happened… blah, blah… As one he finished I walked outside. My hp pool was almost untouched. At the other hand, my mana… 14/560
So this is why I am so dizzy… great. Well done Ruby, really well done.
But what you said to me at the very end… “Zari, I am so sorry”…
Th..bwaha. haha.HAHAAH, Ohhh, crap. You always were such a person. You think it is enough? Ohhh girl, nice that after half a year you realized that you are an idiot, but if you think, that with this we are even… oh, girl. There are right place and time to say such thing. But on the arena second before you were knocked down… It is not such a place nor time.
Hmm… how to “annoy” you a little? As I get up maybe… was your sweetheart called Rick? Ronnie? Robbie? Richard?... yesss Richard… maybe I would say hello? After a nap… yes… I need.. a nap.

The Legend of Fanaura: Cursed
'Hey, need some help there?' An unfamiliar voice echoed through her mind, and she startled, losing her grip on the red phial. It rolled through the grass, away from her. He wielded a sword as long as his height, yet it didn't seem to hinder him in the slightest. She watched in awe as he swung the obviously heavy sword around as if it were light as a feather. His movements were swift and precise, and it didn't take long before the beast fell to the ground, motionless. “You alright there, miss?” The man sheathed his sword across his back, before turning to her. Her eyes widened when she heard his voice. It was the same voice who had that had spoken into her mind and the cause of her almost-fatal distraction. The blue Astrum of memories
Some of you believe in fate and some of you don't. That's ok in our world. In the world that I created Fate has been acting strange and selfish for a long time. She was always fascinated with humans and the fact that they had soulmates because a lot of other races didn't. Ever since humans started traveling through space, that opened millions of new opportunities for Fate to make the human soulmates meet. However, because of her strange behaviour Fate made too many mistakes. After that, Fate made what she thought, was a good move. What she didn't count on was that the good move she made knew that you can cheat fate. One and his crew don't know how ironic it is that she chose them to make her good move. ------------------------------- I didn't use any movies, books or series for inspiration the story is my original work. This is just the result of my weird imagination and brain telling me what to write. I hope you liked it :) It’s just a story, like all of my other stores. It doesn’t have a deeper spiritual, moral or ethical meaning.
