《Dungeon Core Abi》Chapter 81: How

Landing on my futon, I feel slightly heavier than usual but everything is good. Sis is on Dragon duty and I can finally relax for a few minutes before I get on with my accumulating tasks.
The sound of the city life below is like ocean waves to my ears, relaxing me as I take a deep breath in.
"Wait. Why are you still here?" I ask one of my invaders as she shuffles around on top of me.
"Because I can."
"We're besties, Abi."
"It's dinner time, Master?"
"Yeah, but... didn't I tell you to stay at the daycare with Sis?" None of the triplets seem to understand what I'm asking.
"No."
"No."
"I thought you mentioned dinner, Master."
Letting out a sigh, I can't help but smile. I like these three and I don't really want to head back to the Dragon Daycare right away. Becca will still be killing those drums, I just know it. I could send these three on their own, but that might be cruel.
Screw it. I'll just keep the triplets. They're not that bad.
Creating three smaller futons, but still royal in quality, I place them to the side of mine before creating a stuffed dragon to match each girl. Purple, yellow and red. Once I'm done, I put one on each futon so that they know which one is theirs.
"Ok. I suppose you girls can stay here with me. The company is nice I guess. Anyway, this is where you'll sleep. What do you think?"
"It's alright." Is all get from violet.
"Thank you, Abi. I love it. Is that one for me?" Whereas Blondie seems more grateful.
Amber stares at her futon before looking at me, her lip quivering.
"Yes, yes, Amber. It's dinner time now." The redheaded loli smiles and we head to Ali's.
At dinner we saw Anya and Lola. It was nice to talk and I told her about the daycare. Lola can go there to play with the other Dragons if she wants. The triplets and Lola ate through enough food to fill a dozen men each before they were finished and we said our goodbyes.
"I like my futon, Master," Amber informs me as we make our way down the street.
"Good. That's what I was hoping for," I tell her as we make our way towards the residential area. We're on our way to Light's house because I'm finally going to start working through my backlog of tasks. As we round the corner to this street Amber takes off running. Somehow she already knows where he lives and knocks a little too vigorously before running back to us giggling.
"Why do you have to knock so damn loud, Noir!" I hear Light shout from inside. "Every damn time. I swear to the Core, if you've ran off again, I'll..." Light stops when he sees me. It takes him a second to notice my entourage before he scowls at Amber.

"Oi. We'll have less of that," I warn him.
"Sorry, Master. What brings you to my home? I would have happily came to you if you had summoned me."
"Let's talk inside," I smile at the strongest Assassin in Varona as he welcomes us in. Even Amber, who he seems to dislike for some reason.
Once inside, Light leads us into the living room and everyone takes a seat. I then let him know the reason for my visit.
"Now that I've finally got the time, I'm ready to do your evolution." Light bursts out in excitement and starts jumping up and down while shouting "Sophie!" The ex-dungeon diver bursts into the room brandishing a large bloody knife and a smaller, yet definitely more noticeable bump on her belly.
What the hell?
Sophie places the knife down after seeing the happy expression on her partner's face and pulls him into a hug. While that's happening I can't help but to steal glances at Sophie's tummy. There's definitely a bump there.
As I'm thinking of teleporting away, pretending that I was never here in the first place, Sophie whispers something into Light's ear and he turns to me looking confused.
"Master?" Is all he says as he waits for my response.
Shit.
"Y-Yes?" I shakily reply while hoping that Sophie's bump is in fact caused by a good diet of fatty meat. Sadly, Light shatters that illusion right after I thought it up.
"Sophie says that my baby is in her belly. Is that true?" I look back at Sophie's belly, now feeling more confident that I'm not prying and that yes, there is definitely a baby inside that belly.
"Yes," I answer more confidently, even though I don't feel it. The famous question - How did that happen? - the question that basically rotates around my dungeon on the wheel of eternity springs to mind. Not that I want to ask as I already know the answer to that one. What I'd like to know is, how can I get out of this situation without feeling any more uncomfortable.
"Sophie said it was because we had sex."
There it goes. The sound of the world fades away and I'm pretty sure I'm redder than the roses in the vase on the mantle behind Light. I look at the triplets who just seem to be giggling between themselves. Not that I can hear them, but I can see it on their faces. Then to Sophie, who also seems to be slightly embarrassed, but is taking it nowhere near as hard as I am. Before returning back to Light, who is just waiting for an answer. He's not even fazed about his off-handed comment.
"Yes," the word was almost a whisper. Why do I even feel embarrassed? I know I created him, but it's not like I'm his mother. Not really and if anything, he got his body before I did. That means, technically, that he's older than me. Even though I think of them all as my children, this is too weird.

Trying to talk myself out of my own delusion, I come around to Blondie pulling on my sleeve. "Abi."
"Yes," I murmur before the mischievous little Dragon slaps me around the face.
What the hell, Blondie?
"Abi. You have said 'yes' four times in a row."
"Yes," I repeat before shaking my head. "I mean, I know. I know. I was just... thinking that's all."
"What about?"
Don't put me on the spot like that, Blondie. I thought we were family.
"Light's... evolution. B-But also the baby. Congratulations, Sophie. Er... well done, Light?"
I don't fucking know. All in all, I'm nearly eighteen years old myself. I don't know what to say in this situation. Five minutes ago dungeon summons having babies was not a thought that had crossed my mind. If anything it's one I would have rather avoided for the rest of my life if that had been possible.
Light and Sophie talk while I debate the finer points of human/dungeon relations. Not that there's much I can do about that either as Light and Sophie are already an item.
Damn Abi the Un-Insightful for not realising this would happen.
"Ok. It's evolution time," because I need to get the hell out of here. "Are you ready, Light?"
"Ever since I killed that God," he boasts. Even though I told him not to talk about it. And I notice that he didn't even say 'we'.
"Fine," I pout, activating my menu. We wait, but no grand light encompasses my Assassin this time. In fact, the whole ordeal is kind of lacklustre. Wanting to sound like I know what I'm doing, I check Light's stats before I say anything.
Name: Light
Master: Abi
Class: Master Assassin - Level 100
Class: Available
Skills
Spells
Grand Skill
Inventory
It has been quite a while since I last checked Light's status. The option for a second class is new and quite intriguing, however, I find my eyes drawn to the inventory section.
When did he get that?
I can't help myself and open the inventory before I even realise what I'm doing. To Light's surprise, further embarrassment to myself, and to Sophie's horror, out pours a deluge of toys that one would normally find associated with Veris, rather than my Master Assassin.
I don't even have any words for it.
With that I grab the girls while congratulating Light and Sophie on their cross-species pregnancy as well as his evolution, then teleport us away as fast I can before anything else goes wrong.
Arriving at the safety of my tower, I wonder how that all went so wrong. Although, it hasn't even managed to get better now that we've left. To my own horror, Amber seems to have found a chocolate-shaped edible somehow and is already munching down on it. I know full well if I try and take that off of her there's going to be a problem, so I close my eyes, pretend what's happening really isn't and move on to my next task.
"Please go better than the last one," I begged to no one in particular while activating Divinities' Domain.
I'm reluctant to open my eyes, but when I do I find that all my problems have disappeared. Literally. In what can only be described as the Lazy God's pad, I'm all alone in a room of white. Instinctively I'm aware of what I can and can't do in this space. I can add and remove objects, furniture and decorations. I can change colours, sizes and even textures. I can make it brighter or darker all at will. It was like being a Dungeon Core prepared me to use this space perfectly and it's exactly what its name described it to be.
My domain.
I'm so grateful it worked like it was supposed to. I almost want to make myself cry with water magic. Sis is in my head, but at least she's not in my domain. With how it feels, I'm pretty sure the only people that can enter are those I allow access. Which is even better.
"I might have to make this place my new bedroom," I laugh as I begin making some major renovations to the Lazy God's old home which is now mine by right of victory. A fireplace springs into existence with a Direwolf rug laid in front. The two white chairs are replaced with comfier, green ones and a bed appears at the back of the room. Bookshelves and drawers morph into existence and the walls behind them turn sky blue. Clouds float along the backdrop making me even more happy with my new space.
"This is amazing," I compliment myself while taking a book from the shelf and sitting down on the rug in front of the hearth. I find that the book I grabbed is one that I've never read before or even heard about for that matter. It's a love story about a girl who gives up her life to save her father. In doing so, she becomes a prisoner to a terrifying creature, but over a prolonged period of time she begins to feel differently about the monster she was forced to live with.
That's as far as I got because as I thought about how I had managed to create a story that I didn't have any knowledge about prior to reading, I slowly fell asleep by the fire.
