'Oi, oi. I thought you were someone who would rather die than lower his head!?' Rui Wei's lips twitched.

Ruzi's small face is full of confusion, looking back and forth between Rui Wei and General Xie.

"General Xie is a well respected man who has served the kingdom for more than a decade now. This one respects the General, but may I know what does the Great General needs the Snow Leopard for?" Rui Wei's eyes glinted with a suspicious light as she stared at General Xie.

"That...." General Xie was stumped as he did not expect Rui Wei to still question him after he took out his House Token. General Xie awkwardly took back his hanging hands that were holding the token.

"We need the Snow Leopard Cub right now, but since the General has insisted then we can maybe hear out your reason." Rui Wei crossed her leg and carried Ruzi to sit on her lap, both of them looked lovable, if it was not for the bone-chilling aura that lingered around them.

'These kids! I'm a Great General who have gone through blood curdling wars, but here I'm being outdone by kids! What a situation.' The General snorted, which earned Rui Wei's brows to raise.

"I have the Mother Snow Leopard with me, that Snow Leopard Cub is her child. I rescued the Mother Snow Leopard when she was in the brink of death, the hunters left her to die in the wilderness, as they've already caught the cub. I have contracted the Mother Snow Leopard as my 2nd Contracted Beast and the Snow Leopard's wish is to be reunited with her child." General Xie stated with a stoic face.

"Aww, that's so sad, huhu. But Hunters are not so dumb to let go a precious Female Snow Leopard." Rui Wei's face flashed with amusement,

"Or did General Xie think that I was dumb enough to believe that?"

"This lady... What will it take for you to give me the cub?" General Xie was never used to beating around the bush, so as not to further prolong the conversation he just directly asked.

Rui Wei glance at Ruzi and silently calculated the pros and cons of the situation.

"May I ask the place where General Xie have rescued the Mother of the Snow Leopard Cub?"

"The Mian Forest, It is near the territory of the Eastern Gate, That place is under the Mian Family's supervision but I can get you a pass in that place." General Xie stated it in a matter of fact.

"I can hand you the Snow Leopard Cub--- But you owe me three favours." Rui Wei said in a cold stoic voice which showed no signs of negotiation.

General Xie was shocked, he was already willing to give his token earlier! She could've just stated that earlier! General Xie nodded his head in agreement as he handed his house token once again. Rui Wei accepted the token and kept it on her spacial ring.

Rui Wei ran over the information that she and Sona compiled. They were not aware of the Snow Leopard residing on the Mian Forest. Rui Wei had simply assumed that the Snow Leopard cub came outside the Kingdom, she did not consider the possibility of a group of Snow Leopard living within the Kingdom due to it's rarity and living condition to consider.

'So is there some sort of accursed place inside the Mian Forest where the Snow leopards resides?' One must know that Snow Leopards seeks the coldest place to reside to further advance their cultivation.

'According to General Xie's story he have rescued the Snow Leopard's mother, then if I'm not wrong there should be at least 3-4 group of Snow Leopard from the place where he rescued the Mother. Snow Leopard's are prideful bunch but they tend to make a group to support each other.' Rui Wei's mind started reeling.

She exchange pleasantries with General Xie.

"Here, this is the token to receive the Snow Leopard Cub." Rui Wei passed her plate to the General. The plate is assigned to each guest, these plates are used to claim the items that the guest won over the Auction.

"Thank you, Young Lady." General Xie simply bowed and left as he got what he wanted.

Rui Wei watched that tall figure leave, her mouth curving in a mysterious smile.

She then stood up and left the Auction House too.

Rui Wei set up an illusion around her.

"Ruzi, I'm sorry but we'll have to make another trip to get your pet." Rui Wei said, she then proceeded to dash towards the Mian Forest.

Ruzi watched with eyes full of fascination as they moved in a speed invisible to the naked eyes.

With Rui Wei's speed, it did not take long before they reached their destination. Rui Wei stood before the Mian Forest, her face flashed with amusement as she scrutinize the place.

'A barrier?' Rui Wei raised her brows, she sent out a sliver of her Qi to test put the barier.

'This is barrier's construction is pretty simple.' After one attempt of probing, Rui Wei was able to figure out the barrier's construction. She made her way to the entrance with no hindrance. As soon as Rui Wei entered the forest she condensed Knives from her qi, they hovered around her and Ruzi.

"Mother! Can I also do this?" Ruzi pointed the knives hovering around them.

"I'll teach you later, let's find you a good pet for now." Rui Wei answered Ruzi in an amused manner.

"Hmm!" Ruzi nodded excitedly, then his eyes focused on the forest ahead.

As they ventured deeper in the forest the temperature also dropped, but with their Attributes the two were not least affected in fact it is beneficial for them.

"Ruzi, do you feel the Qi? Absorb as much as you can." Rui Wei instructed.

"Yes!" Ruzi agreed, and started to absorb the Qi. Unlike Ruzi who had to manually absorb Qi, Rui Wei automatically attracts the Qi to her dantian especially if it is her attribute Qi, the Water Qi.

Rui Wei slowed down their pace as she felt the presence of a large group of beasts.

'They really are congested in a group. And all of them are 3rd rank and above! The highest one is 6th rank?' Rui Wei increased her speed, she settled down on the nearest branch of a tree, her steps were light as feather.

Rui Wei flicked her hands and several talismans flew out in different directions.

The 6th rank Leopard's ears slightly twitched, it shifted it's eyes and carefully looked on it's surroundings.

The talismans that Rui Wei sent slowly turned into water clones, they were the unfinished version which could be used for combat. They fully replicate a figure of a human, but it does not have a clear distinction between a man and a woman. The sole purpose of this Water Clones is to fight.

Their fighting prowess limits up to 70% of Rui Wei's strength, just one clone talisman takes up to 3 months for Rui Wei to create.

"Ruzi, watch carefully." Rui Wei said, this was one of her greatest work ever since transmigrating over, aside from her talismans.

Rui Wei secured her and Ruzi's position on the tree. Rui Wei waited an hour to pass, making sure that there were no other beasts or individual within the vicinity before making her clones move.

The group of Snow Leopards had long been off-guard. Only the higher ranked beast were the one who never dropped their guards down. Rui Wei manipulated the mist and doubled it, the Snow Leopards obviously loved this mist, as they lazily rolled and flipped on the ground specially the younger ones.
