《I will absolutely cultivate》Chapter 21: The Dragon Temple
Advertisement
Dragon Temple; Dragonsvein Kingdom's Imperial Palace.
This Dragon Temple was built alongside the Imperial Palace of the Dragonsvein Kingdom, although the founder of the Dragonsvein Kingdom was just a lucky asshole, who had received a Pie from heaven. His strength was still ranked 5th amongst the previous generation.
The 3 Emperor Ranked Cultivators built this temple after they received some pills from the very founder of the Dragonsvein Kingdom.
The actual goal of the Emperor ranked cultivators were just to show off, but who would actually think that those respected, revered immortals would have such thoughts? The three of them were at the pinnacle that the Mortal's have ever reached, since the Ancient Times. The 3 Emperor ranked cultivators were good friends and liked to compete with each other, and these 8 Temples were also one of their competition.
The Mortal Cultivators have blindly made assumptions that the 3 Emperor ranked cultivators wanted the later generations to have guides on the path of cultivation. Thinking that the 3 Emperor Ranked cultivators put effort for the Mortal Cultivators left them in tears, which is why the legends of the 3 Emperor Ranked Cultivators resound in any corner of the Mortal Plane up to till now.
---
The Dragon Temple's defense is actually above the Imperial Palace's, not because they do not want anyone to use the Measuring Device within it, but because there are also treasures within this Temple, the Dragon Temple is not only used for Measuring one's strength but it also contains the cultivation skill books that the 3 Emperor Ranked Cultivators have left there. Many Rulers of the Dragonsvein Kingdom had planned to move this particular library but alas, it's built-in protective scriptures were beyond their power.
--
Rui Wei along with Ruzi and Sona have successfully passed through this supposedly, impenetrableTemple.
It was actually extremely simple. The Dragon Temple have guards going around in a certain manner, while there was also overseer who was watching from afar. Rui Wei created clouds and made it look like it was a natural phenomenon, She camouflage within the rain, blurring the eyes of the people, and putting up a huge Ice Mirror for illusions. And so within this rain, Rui Wei who was carrying Ruzi and Sona, easily went through the Dragon Temple.

Sona who was tagging behind Rui Wei, had many questions inside her head, and she was barely refraining herself from asking Rui Wei. Early this morning her Young Miss, had suddenly said that they were going to the Dragon Temple, confusing Sona. The Dragon Temple's Aptitude test will be next week, so as of now, the Dragon Temple still strictly prohibits anyone from entering, even the King himself has to inform the 6 pillar elders first before entering the Dragon Temple.
The Dragon Temple's aptitude test is held once every 5 years, the Aptitude test lasts for a whole month, giving almost everyone on the Dragonsvein Kingdom a chance to enter the Dragon Temple, at least once in their lives.
Sona was looking everywhere nervously, their journey here has been way too smooth. Which is why she was anxious, the hallway was way too clean.
"We're here." Rui Wei's voice sounded out on Sona's head.
Sona looked ahead and saw one huge boulder on the side that has engraved scriptures on it on it, besides the boulder, there was a small circle that was drawn on the floor.
The boulder was the device that would show the result, while the circle is where you stand while the temple would measure the Qi within your body.
Rui Wei put down Ruzi, which she was carrying all along.
Ruzi was fast asleep, completely unaware of the current events.
Rui Wei went and stepped inside the circle, as soon as she stepped inside, the circle started glowing. The magical circle scanned her body up and down, soon the boulder also started to glow.
Elements: Water, Ice
Mortal Realm, 5th rank peak!
"Eeee--" before Sona could scream her mouth was sealed.
"Shhh." Putting her finger on her lips, Rui Wei beckoned Sona to come closer.
Sona nervously stepped inside the circle.
Element: Earth
Mortal Realm, 4th rank, mid
After Sona was done, Rui Wei then proceeds to put the sleeping Ruzi on the circle.
Element: Ice, Water, Thunder
Mortal Realm, 2nd rank, low
Rui Wei's eyes twitched seeing the 'thunder' element.
Dou Chang You's words suddenly appeared on Rui Wei's head

"How about, Thunder Lou?"
She could remember that General Dou's Element was thunder. Although General Dou mostly focused on tempering his body.
"T,three element..." Sona's voice was as weak as a mouse, as her face was full of disbelief. This was the first time that she saw a legendary dual element, and now to think that the young Mistress that she has been trying to 'protect' was actually a legendary dual element cultivator, while her young master was an almost non-existence, 3 element cultivator!
Now it actually makes sense how her young mistress could escape that Steward Li's grasp!
While the two of them were lost in their thoughts.
An unexpected situation was about to unfold, even beyond on Rui Wei's calculation.

Outside the Dragon Temple, two figures could be seen flashing from time to time. One figure was strong and masculine, while the other one was small and petite.
These two figures are Gu Xiao Li and the Ninth Prince.
Gu Xiao Li, after Li Mo left the Kingdom and went to the Heavenly Palm Sect. Gu Xiao Li decided that she cannot just stay on the Cheng Inn forever, so after she broke through and achieved the 4th rank, she finally showed up in the capital after being gone for a whole week. She went inside the Gu Manor as if nothing important had ever happened, her father who saw was furious to the point he had wanted to kill her at the mere sight. He confronted Gu Xiao Li and had wanted her to apologize to the 3rd prince, as he still wanted to remain good relationship with the 3rd prince. Also threatening her to kick out of the Manor and erase her name from the Genealogy Book.
Of course, Xiao Li being the arrogant being she is refused to do so and have said:
"I only came here to sever my ties with a disgusting creature like you!" After she said this, she did not wait for her father, as she snatched Genealogy Book of the Gu Family on her father's hand, and personally erased her own name!
After doing this, she heroically left the Manor with the Ninth Prince. Leaving the house she has nowhere to go, whereas the Ninth Prince gifted her with a new Manor. The Ninth Prince, of course, accompanied her to the new house asking her this and that. When Xiao Li mentioned how she broke through and reached the 4th rank, despite only cultivating for some months, had the Ninth Prince stunned. The Ninth Prince had asked what elements Xiao Li was currently cultivating, unfortunately, Xiao Li has not started cultivating any elements yet, as she has focused on tempering her body.
So as the spoiling prince he is, they decided to go to the Dragon Temple to look at Gu Xiao Li's Elemental Affinity, so that she could also start cultivating the elemental Qi.

Rui Wei who have finished on distinguishing their ranks and elements went deeper on the Dragon Temple. The Dragonsvein Kingdom do not have control over the mechanism of the Dragon Temple, which is a cause of their silent protest towards the 3 Emperor Ranked cultivator who built this Temple. The Library of the Dragon Temple contained numerous martial skill that was deemed rare, as they are all cultivation copies of the 3 Emperor Ranked Cultivators, one can only say that these 3 Emperor Ranked Cultivators were really generous even leaving behind some copies of their Cultivation Methods that they have collected within their whole lifetimes.
The Library has a built-in protective-scripture which has the defense of 3 Emperor Ranked Cultivators combined. The Protective spell actually only protects the library from ill-intents or attacks that would destroy/damage the Library. Generally, anyone could have come and go inside this so-called library, which is why the Dragonveins Kingdom have limited the people who could enter the very Dragon Temple.
The structure of the library was quite exotic, as the shelves were floating from here and there, on the side, there were some crystal balls. The crystal balls were flickering with different lights, giving out a stunning sight.

A Cleric's Life for me.
This is a casually written story loosely based on TTRPG games like DnD and Pathfinder. The attempt of the story is to have a slow growth in power and comical set of characters who eventually grow close and set off for more serious adventures. There will be plenty of familiars and funny tales that don't involve combat. The intention is not to be a goody-two-shoes cleric story where nothing bad happens. The intention for this story was a slow paced grungy story where everything seemed great at first and things just kept getting worse. I learned how shitty of a story that is to write and honestly I am just not good enough to get the idea down. I plan on revisiting it later.
