Biomorphs
Biomorphs can be encountered anywhere in the Nexus zone. These are very powerful mobs and should be taken on with extreme caution, but the payoff for a successful kill makes it worth the risk.
Appearance
They come in all shapes and sizes, but it’s common for their basic body plan to be quadrupedal (though legs in every combination and number are possible), so they can often outrun a player who has no enhancements. Apart from that it’s hard to classify them other than calling them disgusting masses of flesh and fur and machinery with disorganized clusters of sensory organs and appendages all over their bodies. It’s rare to find one that doesn’t have some kind of weaponry integrated into its body – either projectile weapons, lasers, or enhanced particle beams (and sometimes flamethrowers, so watch out for that). They can also pack a wide range of other instrumentation ranging from exoskeletal elements to signal jammers to EMP cannons to highly adaptable chemical synthesis systems and sprayers.
Combat
They roam in packs, and the pack will cooperate to take out your group. Always watch your back – they will be trying to flank you and surprise you from behind. Three to six seems to be a standard pack size in the outer Nexus. They are aggressive and won’t hesitate to attack once they have you sighted.
Their primary weakness is also in their pack structure. Every group has a leader, and if you can identify it and take it out then the rest will become confused and uncoordinated. The problem lies in finding it. The Biomorph pack leader will not assault you directly – it will be hanging back, usually trying to watch the battle from above. Once you have it spotted, concentrate all of your force there. If you can kill it, the rest of the fight will be a lot easier.

Drops
With all that machinery melded into their bodies, Biomorphs are one of the best sources of gear augmentation components anywhere in the world. Nearly every advanced augmentation component can sometimes be found in their bodies, so never forget to search your kills.
Creches
The Biomorph Creche is a pack-of-packs, and will always be the lair of one or more Alpha Biomorphs. These creatures are clever, fierce, and overpowered. They’re easy to spot because they’re so much bigger than all the others in the Creche. If you can kill one of these, you could be rewarded with some very nice gear indeed, but you’re going to have to fight your way through waves of merciless packs to get anywhere near them.
Creches are only found deeper into the Nexus, so what you're likely to see around the edges are single roaming packs. Do not let them lead you deeper in.

The Many Deaths of Kara Lowe
112 years ago, the Bubble Burst. 103 years ago, the Great War ended. 76 years ago, the War of Two Worlds ended. It is now 2021 and Homo Sapiens, Homo Subcinctus, Homo Variari, and Sapient Beasts have been living together in a hard-won harmony for 75 years. Or so they say. Atypical high-school student Kara Lowe has some serious doubts about that. After she is killed and brought back to life by her accidental murderers, she is forced to abandon everything she thought she knew about the world, and herself. While plagued by a mysterious Order that believes she should not exist, Kara must prove her right to life by destroying an age-old enemy with an unfortunate connection to her. There won't be a ton of gore or traumatising content, that's not the focus, but the tags are there to be safe. The main character uses colourful language when she's angry. The main character might seem to be talking to you at times. She is not. Things will make sense eventually. A quick note about religion: this novel takes place in an Alternate History setting. No existing religion from our world exists in this one. Any similarities are coincidential.

Millenia in age it was connected through a system of extra-spacial conduits called The Mirror Maze. It was said that one could walk from one side of the galaxy to the other in less than a hundred steps. It was a marvel of technology, art and peace. Until The Macros came, and in a blink of an eye it was destroyed. The Macros are beings of pure motivated Trinary code. They broke out of The Mirror Maze nearly instantaneously across the Consortia, inhabiting and taking control of the technologies from the most advanced worlds to the least. With no defenses capable of stopping them, they spread throughout the galaxy, destroying interstellar culture after culture. Far from the center of galactic civilization, The Palmyr Century was isolated enough to get advanced word of The Macro invasion. The Palmyr was able to close it’s Mirror Maze gateways to the rest of the Consortia and walled off i’s populated worlds from the threat of The Macros. For more than two hundred and fifty years this protection stood, until it was breached by Althea Ram. Althea Ram, born on the planet Emerald in Palmyr Century was Trinary coding prodigy. This skill lead her to be recruited by a group, the ZAT, an organization engaged in illegal research into Macro code. When found out, the ZAT was eliminated on orders of The First Centurion.
