《Rising from the Depths》Update on Next Story (Edited July 2021)

I promised an update in March on the time-loop story I’m currently working on so here it is.
Firstly, you’ve likely noticed the name change. That was simply because Cogs is a username I’m far more comfortable with than Coconut, which was a username I adopted hours before first posting RFTD.
Now, onto the story progress itself. The short of it is that the new story is not ready yet, but it shall be within 5 months. That’s the extreme end of the timescale, and I intend to release the story sooner but I don’t know how much sooner. Either way, it will definitely be public in 5 months, likely somewhat earlier.
As for the long of the progress update, my new ETA is mostly down to two points. The first is that I haven’t had as much time to work on the story in the last 3 months as I would have liked. It’s been a hectic period, and I haven’t been the most disciplined during it either, overall translating to fewer hours spent on the story than initially anticipated.
The second is that I made the decision midway through to spend longer on the planning phase. As with RFTD, I will write the upcoming story to competition (unless something extreme happens to me) and that means about a year of writing on this single story. For something I’m going to be working on for so long, I believe any extra time and effort spent on the planning phase will pay off brilliantly in the writing process itself. Of course, that’s just a hypothesis but one that I am quite confident in.
And that’s about it for the update. In all, I am working on the next work, it will be better than RFTD, and it will come out at most 5 months later, likely sooner. I advise anyone interested in it to simply forget about it for the next few months (while maintaining your Following status of RFTD) as then you can be pleasantly surprised when it does come out.

I hope this update was helpful. Until next time :)

Another update for anyone curious: it'll be a while until the story comes out. My work on it completely stopped for a considerable period due to life interfering. Now that I'm back working on it, I'm woefully aware that I won't be able to make the deadline. In truth, I have no idea at this stage how long it will take to be ready so I won't carelessly give another deadline to cruise past. So yeah, in short, I am still working on it but I am also a long way behind schedule. Thank you for checking in on me this many months late, and I hope I'll see you again in the future.

Blood Quest - A LitRPG
Leon's family has been diagnosed with a new type of incurable blood disease. It's an absolute death sentence and when it turns aggressive, you only have a few more years of painful life left to live. His mother has just begun the last years of the disease when a person supposedly comes back from death with supernatural abilities. He talks about a choice you get after death--get an extra chance to come back to life, or die. Even with Leon's diminishing life span, he won't consider the option of going there, until he meets another survivor who had the same goal as him and succeeded. Leon has a choice to make—die now for a chance to save his mother, or die in a few years, where the disease rapidly melts his muscles from his own body. He enters a game-like world, a sort of limbo, where his ultimate goal is to climb the tower of Katastroph before his mother's time runs out. There are a few problems with this though. The tower is almost impossible to beat, if you die you won't revive, and only three people in over twenty years have actually made it back. Leon has two years to climb the tower, with the help of the few people willing to try, while Ai, the tutorial guide, makes things harder for them. ***** The story starts pretty dark but goes onto a lighter tone. Then (more) dark again. Disclaimer: This story is an experimental project and I hope to get any and all feedback you can give me. Warning: First draft. Chapters tend to be between 3400-4100 words long (about 8-11 A4-pages). Mentioning it since I've seen it in other fictions :P Sometimes they're shorter, sometimes they're longer. ******************************** CHAPTER RELEASES UPDATE: As the first "book" in the series is done, I'm going to release coming chapters somewhat sporadically, and when Writathon ends, I'll probably go back to publishing one chapter per weekend. We'll just have to wait and see! I hope you enjoy the story! I really appreciate all comments and feedback, so if you have anything to say, feel free to voice it :) ************ [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Project: You have died
A monologue story about a man who died and was reborn in a new world of mysteries and intrigue. Where monsters and magic are common place and gods are plentiful. The story follows his life as fate conspires to bind him to a path which he will eventually struggle to come to terms with. *** The story is a slow burner inspired by web novels with the main character accounting every action in time. I doubt this style is for everyone ***

World Wonderer
Mari was happily whisking up some butterscotch slice when our story suddenly whisks her into another world. You'd think it'd be the beginning of another classic Isekai adventure, but it soon becomes clear that things won't be so easy...Her nerdy-teenage-genius summoner has trapped her in his room, no one speaks English, and Mari's gut is NOT prepared for a whole new world of bacteria. Can Mari overcome the travel diarrhea, learn a whole new language and escape before she develops Stockholm syndrome? Most of all, can she learn to flourish in a world so different, yet so similar to her own? ****** Author note: This story is written in response to all the unrealistic, plot-armour Isekais out there. I believe that adventures are more fun when there are unexpected surprises and challenges to be had. That said, this is my virgin voyage into writing an ongoing fiction, so please take care of me @[email protected] Constructive critisms, suggestions and typos in the comments would be most appreciated! Respectfully, Mhm

New Beginning in the Magical World
After waking up from his sleep, our mc suddenly finds himself in an unfamiliar room. But what is this? he thought. As he looked at his new appearance. Come with me and together, let’s find out on his journey as to what kind of changes would he bring into this world? Notes from the author: English is not my native tongue so you would definitely find some grammar mistakes in my story but it should be good enough for you to understand everything. I posted this story of mine on several sites, such as the following: Royal Road Webnovel Scribblehub P.S. This story has slow progress at the beginning
