《A Promise Made Long Ago》Chapter 5

"The event that changed everything happened ten years into Litianio's ruling. One of The Night Watchers members had been investigating for any signs of assassination attempts when he stumbled upon information about plans to attack the still newly formed Luna Empire. This member was named Blade. Blade quickly informed Litianio and the rest of The Night Watchers. "Blade was chosen to infiltrate the Azaelia Kingdom to discover more on the plans. He successfully did so and discovered that the king, King Azaelia X Bon, planned to try and become an emperor himself. His way of doing so was to take over other kingdoms, countries and even the Luna Empire through conquest. "What King Azaelia X failed to account for was the sheer number of soldiers Litianio had acquired. Litianio had made sure to increase the army tenfold and even created a navy. Each soldier was trained to be a powerful force. There were even some who were masters in multiple forms of combat. "Blade knew the Luna Empire Army would be more than enough to handle the small army of Azaelia but it did not stop him from assassinating the king and queen. Blade had discovered that it wasn't just Azaelia who had plans to attack the Luna Empire. There were six others who had joined an alliance. "A total of seven kingdoms had united to take down the Luna Empire in the name of King Elford IV." Jay was baffled. "Wait. What? Why? After everything he did, they sided with him?" Kyle nodded. "They too had been influenced by him just like The Black Panthers." "Huh? But wasn't it obvious that he had been lying due to being crazy in the head?" Jay huffed. "I don't get why they would fall for his lies." An odd smile was on Kyle's face and she raised a brow. It was like he was hiding something. Before she could ask what was on his mind, a knock on the museum door filled the air and the door swung open. It was Jon and there was a beautiful young woman behind him. "Blue said you two were in here," Jon said with a smile. He took off his hat as he walked over to Jay and plopped it down on her head. He tilted it forward and stepped in front of her. He examined her, amused by her confused expression. "It suits you to wear a trilby. Ah, before I forget." He motioned to the woman he had brought. "This is my daughter, Violet." Violet smiled and held a hand out to Jay. "Nice to finally meet you, Jay." She wore a long deep purple dress with the straps low on her shoulders. Her black hair was done up in a tight bun. She had her father's strange red eyes. Like her father, she was a bit pale. "You as well," Jay greeted with a smile. "Now that you two have been introduced, why don't we give Jay a tour of the grounds?" Jon seemed excited. Jay wanted to hear the rest of the story from Kyle but doubted she would get the chance for now. Jay nodded, curious to what the rest of the place looked like. Once outside, she was struck by the humidity brought by the storm. But the sight before her was enough to ignore it for a moment. They had exited through the back into a lavish garden full of many different flowers in full bloom. The garden was massive with gazebos dotting it here and there as places of rest. Gardeners were tending to some parts that had been damaged by the storm. "What do you think?" Violet asked with a bright smile. "It's gorgeous!" Jay had a big smile. She had always wanted a garden like this and was loving that she had a chance to walk through one. There were so many flowers she had never seen before. Violet began naming off the different flowers as they walked through the garden. Jay locked away the names into her memory. She made a silent promise to one day have them all in a garden of her own. Jon glanced back at them, glad to see the two women getting along. It seemed like they would become best friends quite quickly. At the end of the garden was a long fence that bordered a dirt road on one side. There were some people driving towards them in an atv. The two workers stopped beside them. "Morning, Master Jon," the two greeted. Jon returned their greeting before introducing Jay. Jay felt a bit overwhelmed by their looks of sympathy as they exchanged greetings with her. "My name is Blue." The one who spoke had bright neon blue messy hair barely contained under a baseball cap. Even his eyes were a bright blue. "My name is Tom," the other introduced himself. "We're some of the staff responsible for taking care of the horses." Tom had auburn hair and deep green eyes. He had a boyish face and seemed to be a teenager. Jay's face lit up. "You have horses?" she asked Jon. Jon nodded. "We'll head to the stables next," he said as another atv started pulling up behind Tom and Blue. It pulled a metal trailer for them to sit in. Once seated in the trailer, the group slowly and carefully drove down the muddy road. "I need to get this road paved," Jon said, looking dissatisfied with how messed up it had become from the torrential rain.

Our Chaoz; Our Reality (Completed)
Everyone has their own reasons, be it past events, personality or simply company. But most at some point divulge themselves into videogaming, be it for entertainment or more compettitive reasons. In this year and age there are many genres of gaming, one specific genre though still holds on tight to the ledge it was pushed to trying to pull itself back up. MMORPGs were once the top of everybody's list, adventure, combat, storytelling and endless grind in one single game. It was a different life for most, as if a parallel world to our own. You could be a knight indulging yourself in combat, a mage expertly crafting spells of mass destruction or creation. A ranger exploring the land and hunting down prey, an assassin completing contracts and hording the spoils. A troll scamming children out of their hard earned 10 gold and making more hardcore players rage quit for the day. Or something else. Kyle was a simple player, he always picked the strangest classes or jobs and his characters almost looked the same. He played for the combat, he played for the grind and he played for his guild but above all he played for the story. Kyle is a roleplayer, one who enjoys the simple parts of this virtual life. Whether his guild was starting a war or ending one he'd always have his drammatic entrence or exit, his decleration of annihalition or demand of surrender. After all that? He divulged himself in the game's story, the interaction with NPCS (Non Player Characters) and their advanced AI. He went through many questlines, many tales of heroics and many more adventurers of legend but one thing always remained true with his character. Kyle absolutely loved to the play the villain. But when game turns reality, what will he and his guild of twisted personalities do?

This fiction is on Indefinite Hiatus, because I feel like the quality is dropping and I need some time to try other ideas and get inspiration. Follow the story of Jacob as he plays the first ever Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online RPG (VRMMORPG) Asunder Online. This will be a bit slow paced at first, but will pick up later on. Now with TABLES! Warning: This series is tagged as Mature because it contains crude language. When the battle scenes start later on, expect some gore too. Note: This is my first written work. English is not my native language. I have tried to correct myself before submitting, but please point out any mistakes, plot holes and inconsistencies. Your comments are welcome!
