Benimaru set his bag on a chair at the dining room table, and sighed, “I can’t believe that three days ago the world was on the verge of the apocalypse.” “I can’t believe I passed my finals,” Aaron plopped down in a chair. “I can’t believe that Charlotte decided to let all of you keep your memories,” Tenseiga sighed returning from his time on the beach. “I can’t believe she’s not back yet,” Tetsuya pouted. “I can’t believe that I have the Black Viper’s autograph!” Kat squealed. “Well, I can believe all of it and that I’m finally home,” Charlie set her bag down smirking. “Charlie!” Benimaru ran up to hug her, “How was work?” “Somehow more work with Chad at the desk,” Charlie shook her head, “How were finals?” “We passed!” Benimaru and Aaron gave a thumbs up. “Wonderful! We will celebrate this weekend!” Charlie smiled, “in the meantime, I have a bargain that a certain someone needs to fulfill.” She winked at Tetsuya who rushed to follow her upstairs. “He might beat me if he moved that fast on the court,” Aaron was amazed. “Didn’t it end in a tie like it always has?” Benimaru raised his eyebrows. “That’s why I said he might beat me,” Aaron muttered. “Well guys, I’m going to head back to finish packing,” Kat got up to leave. “Going to— Texas— for the summer?” Tenseiga asked. “Yep! I love your cooking and all Ten-Ten, but my mama still has you beat,” Kat winked as she left. “I will go to Texas and we shall see about that!” Tenseiga shouted as followed after her. “I mean, the more the merrier! She cooks plenty,” Kat smiled at Tenseiga as he followed her out. “Wait! Who is going to cook while you’re gone?” Aaron asked. “You all can survive on take-out for the next 48 hours,” Tenseiga waved. “It takes at least 12 hours to get home from here,” Kat raised her eyebrows. “Not if you travel by fox,” Tenseiga smirked. “Wasn’t he just complaining about Charlie wiping our memories?” Benimaru furrowed his brow. Aaron kissed his cheek, “Ah, let him be. That leaves more time for the two of us.” Benimaru smirked and kissed his lips, “Oh yeah?” “Yeah,” Aaron winked. Benimaru guided Aaron to the couch to watch a movie. He thought about everything that happened, and he remembered the day at the post office. “I’m glad you stopped me from pulling it out,” Benimaru snuggled up to Aaron. Aaron choked, “Wh-what?” “My college application!” Benimaru looked up at him confused, “What did you think I meant?” “That phrase without context could mean a lot of things, up to and including last night,” Aaron winked. Benimaru blushed, “Ah! Right… can we do it again?” “As many times as you want, Beni,” Aaron pulled Benimaru in and kissed him on the temple. They settled in and watched a movie, and enjoyed each other’s company. They had all summer to recover from helping Charlie stop the apocalypse before the fall semester began, and they intended to savor every minute of it.

The Last Breath
When Yezzu first sent his sons to the realm of men, they brought with them the magic of the gods. They created the three kingdoms we now have today being Dremshen, Ex'ol, and Kantillion. In the five thousand years since the gods left, much has changed. Great wars were fought, Universities were built, civilizations were created. One thing remained after the gods' departure though, their powers. Today, the balance of crafting the three gods brought has shifted. In the beginning, each had the same skill as the other, but the magic that was passed down through the millennia has diminished. The struggle for power that started long ago is coming to a defining moment. Plots of war and assassination are being weaved. Don't despair, for we may yet be saved from the disasters to come. Our hope lies in three young crafters. The first is William Divus, who sets out from his small village into the Dremshen Kingdom to study crafting after his father's passing. His questions about his father and his quest for knowledge drive him. Next comes Ehzahn Obasi, an Ex'olian thief with unparalleled skill. He steals for the thrill, no longer needing the rewards that come with it. He has just achieved his lifelong dream, but he will soon learn how much he underestimated the fallout from his daring theft. The last is Ki Soru, the niece of a powerful duke. She showed promise with crafting at a young age, so she had the best training the Kantillion Kingdom had to offer. Ten years have passed since her lessons began, leaving the king unsatisfied with the results. Her life is upended when her new teacher arrives, revealing a secret kept from her that changes her whole life. These three are our heroes. They were born in separate kingdoms under vastly differing upbringing, but each with their own part to play in the challenges to come. Here begins our tale of mischief and misery with only but a sliver of hope.

A Cultivator's War
The tenuous balance on the frontlines between the Everdream Empire and the Beast Alliance threatens to shatter. Ephraim the Relentless’ time is near, and his death will create a gaping hole in the Empire’s defenses. If left unattended, the Beast Alliance will push deeper into human territory, thereby destroying the decades of peace the Central Territories have seen. Their peace coming under fire makes the populace recall memories of a time before cultivators existed and of a time where the blood of all genders and ages littered the streets. As a result, the entire Empire draws the same conclusion; they need strong cultivators immediately. However, strong cultivators come at a cost: their existence creates a heavy load on the limited essence density on Cella. Thus, the Empire faces a dilemma: who will pick up the mantle when it falls? And how much is the Empire willing to sacrifice?
