Preparations
(Author's Note: Ralph-sama won't be OP right off the bat with this, he needs his Menu back before his powers from God of Origins can activate at full strength, there will also be a chapter to explain why God of Origins materialized instead of turning Ralph back to being invisible again)
I felt like someone hit my head with a hammer.
Next time I came back to my senses, I was lying on a bed inside a half-destroyed house.
Leila's body was right next to me, but her soft breathing wasn't there anymore...
「Shit...just what the hell happened to me...」
I massaged my nose bridge and looked over to Leila...
Suddenly a flow of information poured into my head.
What?
What the hell is this?
Why is there information appearing in my head???
More information slip into my mind...
I'm so confused...who are you that's writing stuffs into my head??
Hah??
Are you kidding me?
There are only 3 Origins...Light, Fortune, and Dark...
Oh shit.
Did you just literally insult me?
Dude...I remember this kind of plot in light novels...
You're supposed to be systematic and doesn't have an ego!!!
Oh god...
I feel like I just gained myself a troublesome companion...
And he went ahead and admitted it himself!!!
Are you even a "he"???
Right...let's call you Ori-chan anyway...
I'll pretend you're a secretary lady...
Now, what in the fucking wide world happened to us...?
***
Today is the final day in the Temple.
I'll be preparing to leave tomorrow for the city of Twilight.
With that in mind, I'll go ahead and prepare some tricks that would help me survive out there.
First, I picked out a number of useful spells from the Menu and read the descriptions on how they work.
Then, based on what I understand, I tried to reproduce them with my Essence.
Successfully learned ones will be practiced more to master it.
But there are also ones that I had zero idea on how the hell are they working.

So how did I deal with that?
I ordered a scroll with points and just learned it the systematic way.
Of course, after all the upgrading, I didn't have many points left in my pocket.
That's why I chose to learn it formally by reading instruction.
Though the skills and spells from games were pretty damn many, not all of them are that useful.
Besides, I'm only D-rank...I can only order scrolls for stuffs in page 1 to 6.
And as you guessed, not many OP skills/spells are in these first pages.
I narrowed them down by usage and was able to pick out 5.
[Short Blink]
[Physical Burst]
[Crescent Slash]
[Downfall of the Stars]
[Scarlet Melody]
With 5 of those learned and practiced, I moved on to the second step.
Equipment.
I pulled up the Menu and surfed through page 6.
All the stuff of [Mystic]-class were so damn expensive I couldn't even afford with my points.
So I just simply ordered a set of [Unique]-class light plate armor.
The main color was silver with arm plates, shoulder plates, breast plate, and leather clothing under the armor.
I also have to save points for emergency [Transposition] spell back to the Sanctuary so I could only afford a [Rare]-class katana with a white hilt and obsidian blade.
I clicked on the [Status] menu and saw the material for that blade was processed [Demonic Adamantine]...
Sounds great...this sword also looks pretty damn familiar...
I think I once used this sword in Tenma Online.
It came from my game Menu after all...
Anyway, gears and abilities done.
Next would be money.
I'll be using the untouched-up-until-now offerings.
I gathered everything usable on the offering table and counted 4 gold coins, 24 silver coins, and 32 copper coins.
Through reading books, I already knew that 100 copper = 1 silver and so on.
Money, check.
Next, companion.
「I'm always ready for your orders, Ralph-sama」
Ana, check.
Am I forgetting anything else?

Though I'm not even departing today...
But Von did, he already left for the Southern Empire.
I'm sending him to infiltrate the place as a free priest and inspect the place.
That reminds me, I need someone to protect this place before I leave.
I once again surfed through the Menu.
I can now afford only one dungeon boss-type guardian.
If I lowered it down to mini-bosses, I'd be able to afford 2 of them.
But I believe that having one high quality and absurdly strong subordinate would benefit slightly more than a bunch of weaklings.
Just as I was pondering about this, [Alert] suddenly rang.
It wasn't any guardian, but the [Alert] system of the Sanctuary itself screamed out.
[Unidentified Object heading towards the Temple. Calculated damage upon collision: 84%]
DAMN!
That number is huuuuuge!!!
What the hell is that thing???
I ran out of my room in the Temple and looked up to the sky and became as surprised as anyone else looking up towards that thing.
「A fucking meteorite!!!」
Shit!!!
I pulled up the Menu and selected [Transposition] spell, but the points were insufficient to move everybody.
So I selected women and children, including the pregnant Night Hunter, and immediately transposed them out of the sanctuary, into the forest.
Then I was about to move Leila and—
BANG.
Too late.
It wasn't a normal meteorite at all.
It was magic doings.
It came with a speed exceeding the speed of sound.
I had no idea where she was at the moment.
I only saw a flash of light.
The sound was probably too high of frequency for mortal beings to hear, but my ears heard an unpleasant mixture of sounds.
It was a mix of explosive sound and the high-pitched sound usually heard in problems with microphones...
Then next time I came back to my senses...
「Ahhhhh my neck hurts!!!」
I was in my office...
***
「I see...Now I remember everything...it was so damn hazy before...」
Damn...Ori-chan really hates the Menu.
She's been trashing it since...
But how did they jam my shit during that incident?
Moreover, who the hell has this power to jam a God's system?
Please, stop being mean to me...
I give up.
Then, you said Leila's an empty body vessel right now.
What does that even mean?
Wait!
Then she's not dead!?!?
There was a rune written on her forehead.
The ink was blue and it looked the same to any other fantasy runes you'd see in games.
Well, she's technically dead without the soul, but...
Apparenly, Ori-chan's a reliable young lady...
You know, I'll be frank.
If she's mortal, I would have hugged her and patted her on the head right about now.
But since Ori-chan's only texts and information in my head, let's just imagine I did all that to her...
Yo!...you chose to jump into my head, remember??
No, please, I beg you...
God of Origins???
Ah yeah...
There was something about a Power Ball lottery popping up before I spaced out.
That evil woman planned something for me huh...I'll deal with her next time we meet...
Then, what is my body condition right now?
That's no different than before!!!
Oh wow...
Did I just became unstoppable...literally?
WHAT?!?
Then what the hell am I going to do?!?
Just an unstoppable body ain't enough to fight anyone!!!
I'm so not becoming like a certain M female knight who only puts points into DEF and has zero DMG!!!
Yes, please.
Immediately execute the said statement.
I'll treat you ramen next time, Ori-chan.
Alright...she really hates the Menus...
「Ralph-sama...are you OK?」
「Ah...Elgo! Yeah, I'm fine...but we're having problems with Leila」
「.......................my deepest apologies...Elgo could not...do anything...」
「No...not your fault, really...I was...naive to think that this place will just simply be safe if I spend points......」
...
