Lord Joyde The Madman: Heylo, everybody! How are you all doing?
Same old story.
Work hours writing.
Had work to do last few days = no chapters LUL.
... and nobody sent me any form of artist.
Awww.
Oh well.
Don't mind me guys and girls! I'm just a line break...
A few minutes later... - Sorcierre (Merchant District) - Alice's Point Of View...
"Ugh..." Muttering out to myself as I felt my eyes slowly readjust to the bright daylight once again, I took in a deep breath. Gods, my chest hurts as if I hadn't been breathing for hours.
Must've fallen into another one of those trances. Damn, when I did it before I never even noticed it but now that I know what to look for...
.... my most sincere apologies, mistress.
Whatever.
So long as they break whenever there is something interesting going on, I suppose that I can use the extra shut-eye."Milady, it appears that there aren't any Alchemists in the city who specialize in sleeping potions. The dear ladies of the city have guided me to here instead."
Biting back a blackened rebuttal, I nodded towards Uveane as I looked out from the carriage's window. A rather withered building stood imposingly before me, a mass of rotten wood etched from plank to nail in strange, eldritch runes and seals.
A witch's house.
Or well, a wild sorceress' home, as they prefer to be called. Wild as in using wild magic and not uncivilized, though their comprehensive usage of mushrooms both on themselves and on others makes it rather difficult to acknowledge them as such.
Letting out a massive, drawn-out sigh, I find myself staring at the door to the shop, an entrance which did not have anything etched into it, unlike the rest of the building. How... odd.
Then again, considering how easy it would be to create runes which activate upon opening the door. Hmmm, maybe there is a law that forbids such a thing? As a deterrent for evil-doers?
Steeling myself, I grasped the door's rusted iron handle just in time for the door to be opened by a rather... beautiful, young woman. She appeared to be wearing a rather strange purple dress, clearly intended for some lavish party, combined with an intricate cowl etched full of flowers. It was a rather enchanting sight."Eeeh? A young girl in front of my door?... you do not appear to be a beggar or someone who is in dire need of aid... Could you perhaps be the legendary!?" .. The legendary what?
The ecstatic female continued rambling and I found it difficult to remove my eyes from her rather.. bouncy chest and freshly coated lips, even the area around her eyes seems to have had a generous amount of make-up applied to it.
There was also a strange scent all around her. It was making it hard to breathe... some kind of.. aphrodisiac?"Yes, indeed, aha! You must be the... The legendary CUSTOMER!" She finally exclaimed as I put my hands together and channeled my mana into a ball of raging energy before making it erupt outwards."SPELL BREAK!"
This completely shattered whatever the woman had being doing as the feedback threw her to the ground. She stared at me with an incredulous expression for a good long while before managing to remove herself off the dirty floor."Well that was quite rude..."
Immediately, all of her shine began to disappear as if it was never there and that weird smell was gone too."So it was magical, phew." My exhalation of relief caught her attention."It was magical? Oh! Oh, my! Could it be that you were affected by -oh but what am I saying? That is made to affect men only.. Oh, oh no..." She quickly dusted herself and cleaned off any dirt the fall had stuck to her dress.

Then she seemed to fall into a deep depression."... all that detailed, hard work and still my spell malfunctions."
Not really knowing what else to do, I raised my hand as if in class."Um, miss? Did you have a spell to seduce people on you?"
She nodded."Yes but, it should only enhance my already amazing body to those who are already attracted to it~. That damn headmaster and his stupid laws make everything so boring and difficult."
I think that the headmaster is doing a better job at leading this city of magic than I could have every possibly realized."Then the spell worked perfectly so you don't need to worry." That said, even without the magic she looks, rather appealing.
My words caught her full attention once more as the woman went slightly red."Oh my, how bold~."
"Though, I do admit that I don't know why you would need a spell to enchant those around you, miss." I continued on with a smile, my obvious flirting making even Uveane's jaw drop.
To her credit, the woman merely beamed me a smile."Oho, it would appear that I've stumbled upon a natural little lady killer, though I must admit that I had you mistaken for a girl at first, young gentleman."
I laughed at her, much to the woman's confusion before adopting a sly look in my eyes."That's because I am one, milady." Now that gave her a heart attack but before she could reply, I continued."Anyways, I can see that you are about to leave for some important party so I wont trouble you further, though rest assured that I will come back soon, miss witch~."
While she just stood there, completely immobile I quickly made my way back into the carriage and motioned for Rethrill to drive us away.
It took him a couple minutes of driving around aimlessly before the dark elf opened his mouth."Milady, I-.. that wa-"
"Shut up. I have no idea what just happened. Uveane, ... drive me to my quarters before I do something even more crazy." His expression changed so rapidly that I could practically hear him smirking in a very amused fashion.
No doubt, my entire entourage is going to know what happened here eventually. Ah hell.
W-what is even going on with me?
YOUR INSTINCTS ARE AWAKENING. THOUGH YOU ARE TOO YOUNG FOR SOME OF THEM.
My.. my instincts?
Well that sure sounds like a whole lot of fun!
Can you feel my sarcasm?
Mother, is there any way to stop or curb them?
INSTINCT CANNOT BE STOPPED. ONLY FED.
On the contrary.
Instinct can be stopped, but doing so would cause severe damage to your already overloaded brain.
Then again, heightened instinct is one of the main powers granted by Chaos, so you may want to get used to it, milady.
Ehh, you are directly disagreeing with Chaos?!
And to think that woman just now called me bold.
Why would I fear going against Chaos, milady?
.. what, no comments from mother?
Alright, then.
Well, I mean, Chaos is a... I don't honestly know what mother is, but she is undoubtedly very, very powerful.
Would you really want to go against such a creature?
Chaos is the antithesis of EVERYTHING, milady.
No description or summary could ever properly define or should properly define it.
In fact, the definition I just gave you is equally as false as it is true.
... You may wish to begin thinking of Chaos in this way: Define normalcy, do the opposite.
... so this is what father meant when he said that the price of Chaos was normalcy.
Think of something.
Think of an actions normal outcome.
Then do the opposite.
This.. is Chaos?
So you aren't afraid of Chaos because being afraid of it is exactly what would cause it to attack you. Because, normally one would hate those who attack it and love those who defend it, but with Chaos it is the other way around.
... eh.
Yes and no.
That said, your understanding of the incomprehensible is astounding for one so young.
Technically, you are younger than me, Tius.
A fair point.
... And you, mother? Are you really not going to say a word to add to the conversation?
How rude.
DO NOT MISTAKE MY SILENCE FOR CONTEMPT, CHILD.
I AM SILENT, BECAUSE ONLY WITHOUT MY INTERVENTION DO YOU TRULY HAVE A CHANCE OF GROWING STRONGER.
Once the thunderous, toneless voice in my head died down, I turned my thoughts to the probably indecipherable meaning of that sentence.
A chance of growing stronger?
Tius, you said how the more one comprehends Chaos, the more of its power one may wield.
And by letting us comprehend it in our own pace, Chaos is ensuring that our power rises or falls *naturally*.
... but what happens if one manages to comprehend Chaos completely.
SUCH PEOPLE DO NOT EXIST.
ONLY I COMPREHEND MYSELF COMPLETELY.
What about God though?
... okay, only my mate and I comprehend me completely.
Wrong.
Only God comprehends you completely. And you mother... you don't actually know what you want, do you?
...
Silence.
Deafening silence.
Ah.
My eye hurts.
It..
It really, really hurts.
A flash of pain shocks me so hard that I practically jolt off of my comfy seat and slam my head against the woodwork of my carriage, causing Uveane to abruptly halt the horses.
I ran out of the carriage and felt my hands reach the ground, my eyes both closed, as the dirt of the roads slugged against my hands. A puddle of water was in front of me as Uveane ran towards me, catching the attention of the entire present crowd."MILADY! A-are you alright?! Whats wrong?!"
"Urgh!" I grunted out in pain as I reopened my eyes, head darting upwards and then down as my left eye began bleeding.
Finally, I managed to concentrate myself enough to realize that I couldn't see anything on my left, but my right provided more than enough to see how my left eye was drenched in crimson, about to burst.
"T-that's!" A shocked onlooker exclaimed out as someone else could be heard sprinting towards me. A lithe hand grabbed my own and I managed to turn my head around, still feeling extreme pain. A familiar elven man stood before me bearing an utterly annoyed look on his face."H-headmaster...?" I questioned his appearance rather weakly.
He let out a massive sigh."It seems that your family's curse has a far greater effect on you than even I could have predicted." He forcibly removed my hands off of my bulging left eye and placed his right hand above it while the left ensured mine were away."The Gods think they have the power to contain progress with their accursed immaterial laws, but let it be known that I have found a way to break these horrid laws."
A spree of strange and impossibly intricate arcane symbols formed in front of me, each speck of the spell being cast requiring more mana than I could possibly manifest even if I sold my soul to some demonic entity.
"Isil est un igni agni..." The headmaster began to chant in what seemed to be the elven tongue, but there were words I could not understand. I knew that *Isil est un* meant *I hereby decree*, but the other two words were beyond me.
The human education system does not really pay much attention in the way of elven languages. And why should they?
"Isil est un jer-li ungretha marn..." More decrees of things I could not comprehend as the headmasters closed eyes suddenly reopened, each glowing with a tremendous amount of power."ISIL! EST! UN! ISIL!"
I.. hereby declare I?...
That can't be right.
Despite my inability to understand the elven tongue, arcane energies still continued pouring out of the headmasters hand. Once they reached their peak, the headmaster offered one final incantation."ISIL! EST! NAG-RADAOTH!"
I hereby command absolutely. Or... perhaps, I hereby command *you*, absolutely?
But who is the *you*, here?
Me?
Or perhaps the gods themselves?
Whatever may be the case, the energies gathered infused themselves into my bulging eye and promptly returned it back to normal. My immense pain subsided, but something else happened deep within my soul.
... A chain.
A link I had not known before.
A law I was aware off, yet could do nothing about.
Magia Insanium was the cause of my current predicament.
... and now, I have been freed of it, permanently."It would seem that my experiment was an astounding success. As per usual." Adhana's rather arrogant tone echoed out into the broad daylight."So you cast that spell on milady without knowing what would happen?!" Uveane asked of the headmaster in a shocked tone.
"Be silent, dark ling." Adhana spat out with all the spite the high elves are known to have for dark elves."Its fine, Uveane." I stood up, my right hand grasping my left eye and feeling around the flesh, making sure that everything was alright before turning to look at the headmaster."You just... freed me, from the effects of Magia Insanium, didn't you?"
Adhana blinked in surprise and even pride, though I could not tell if it was pride in himself or me."And you seem to have far more insight into the world than I realized, Miss Pendragon. Do tell, what kind of eldritch revelation did you have just now to prompt such an.. aggressive reaction from that insufferable law?"
Eldritch... revelation...?
Maybe he knows more about this than I realize?
I looked around us and then nodded towards Rethrill."Go. Meet up with the others."
My dark elven coachman nodded right back and left us as I turned back towards the headmaster."Perhaps this is a conversation best held.. privately."
To his credit, Adhana merely smirked before flicking his fingers.
To my credit, I managed not to scream when I found myself being hurled through the empty void and finding myself in the Headmasters office an instant later.
Don't mind me guys and girls! I'm just a line break...
That's gonna be it for now.
Gotta go!
See ya guys and girls laters~!
Anyways, read and review! And Good Morning/Day/Night to you all! ADIOS FOR NOW!

He reached a hand down to help her up, but Mabel swatted it away, standing on her own and scowling. "Don't call me 'Little One,' Death."
