That is an excellent question, Vic. I do not know. All the logs show are the commander and two other orcs. They are not labeled personal guards. Perhaps someone or someones were hidden in the camp. . .
[Fine. Mystery to never be solved. Next, I can steal skills on kill? Isn’t that kind of cheating at life?]
Well, in fairness, I’m pretty sure that title was never supposed to be activated and thus the quantum nanomachine hive did its best to deal with it. “Immortal” has a specific meaning to the nanomachine system. You killed a creature that was 20,000 years old and could regenerate unless she was completely obliterated. Or you took her core apparently. Granted, you did just almost blow her up before so she was probably weakened. But still. . .

Your ability to regularly break a monumentally complex quantum nanomachine hive intelligence that has stood for a century and a half is impressive. . .

Right. Slick steal there, Vic. Enhanced Regeneration replaces the regeneration attribute for health. You regenerate health at 5% of your max per second as long as your health does not drop below zero.

When the first derelict alien spacecraft fell to Earth, humanity took what was found in it and propelled themselves to new heights. In their new Golden Age, humanity developed technology that they had only dreamed about. The following years saw hundreds more ships crash into the planet, spurring even greater technological leaps. An unassuming spacecraft, one of the dozens that fell yearly, descended on Siberia in 2021. The world took no particular notice of it. However, this one contained something beyond the miraculous technology that had made humans so prosperous. Three years later, in a top-secret underground facility in eastern Colorado, the automated construction of an army of Paladin Mobile Infantry Suits was underway. With this new, state-of-the-art weaponry, the military would turn the tide against the alien incursion that was consuming the planet. Humanity fell before that could happen. Sam was an engineer responsible for overseeing the facility. Now alone, he lives in utter boredom and near insanity, his only company the base’s pseudo AI and an army of empty Paladins. With the world gone to hell around him, and the things that caused it still living above, he decides that he is much better off staying exactly where he is. Unfortunately for him, that is no longer an option. This is the first novel I've written. The first fifteen or so chapters are going to be a little slower. I want there to be time to get to know the characters before they start blowing stuff up. Also, though the MC will be strong relative to the world, he won't be OP, and won't win every fight. Not every fight will be physical either. Currently, I'm aiming for something like 5 fairly short chapters a week, after the introduction part is done, but we'll see how that goes. A light novel about a scientist too clever for his own good and the specter of a girl who was destined to die, bringing light of hope to a subjugated nation ruled by oaths and beset by revenant abominations.

Edmon Valli was a smuggler, before a freak storm threw him off course and stranded him on a desert island smack in the middle of an uncharted monster zone. Trying his best to survive, or possibly even escape, he stumbles across the find of a lifetime: an unclaimed dungeon crystal. This is a dungeon-ish story, but without reincarnation or transmigration. I started it as a whim for NaNoWriMo so I may drop it any time after that... or I might not. My current plan is to write until I can reach some sort of conclusion and call it 'volume one'. Many stories like to take the path that there are Gods that watch over the characters of the story, helping them or hurting them as the characters progress. What if, the readers of this story are the Gods that are watching the Main Characters? What if the readers could accrue points by reading that they could spend to help the main character, hurt the main character, or to even create new characters, dungeons, and scenarios? That is what I aim to create! I am trying to get the community involved in creating a reality that the readers themselves can directly influence!
