Long ago there was

A land so ancient and strong.

Its people said to be

The ancients of old.

They came from so far away

Escaping misery and pain

To begin again in this new world.

Oh, this land, it grew

Every day something new

The world explored, the stories they told.

Until a day long ago

Though no one really does know

The land vanished from the new world.

Over time, it was lost

Thought to be nothing but

A legend passed on over time.

But there were some who believed

That one day they would need

To find this lost land again.

“Travel north,” they would say.

“Through the wind and the rain.

To where the fog is so thick, you know.

It is here, in this place

Where the barrier was made

To keep the unwanted away.

Past the rocks and the sand

Through the unknown land

To where the great Pillars once stood.

Here you will find the shore

Of the ancients once more

And finally you will be home.”
