So, this is it. Yesterday, a battalion of king Hiram's soldiers arrived. “That's him! He is killing pilgrims visiting Sar Varok for prayers!” shouted a man in rags. I recognized his face with the broken nose. It was the leader of the looters. I killed his brother years ago. The shouting man played the innocent pilgrim game, trying to convince Hiram's soldiers to do their worst to me. Still, one pitiful liar is not enough to alert a whole battalion, they had their own ideas for the sanctuary. And so it was that the captain gave a speech. He spoke about how they need to take me for trial, how this land belongs to Hiram now, how the king is responsible for the safety in his dominion, how the Oathkeepers are old fashioned, how the Oathkeepers' political neutrality is a lie, and more of such bullshit. I simply informed him that the man next to him is a looter and that I will protect the sanctuary against monsters as well as usurpers, and that this place is beyond politics. I offered them to visit the sanctuary and pray near the body of Dimas Aretin. Well, soon after that I was swinging Asilan as the soldiers were ordered to kill me. I was jumping from wall to wall to dissolve the mass of bodies trying to cut me to pieces, but I did point my finger at the looter and told “attack” to the steel wolf. A group of soldiers tried to bring the wolf down, but his arm transformed into a sort of a silvery liquid and reformed into a huge hammer that sent the soldiers flying. Soon, he smashed the looter beyond recognition.

Then a volcano rose up a few kilometers away and erupted, spitting out molten ghouls in the process. I made a quick decision. Hiram's soldiers were after me, they did not want to destroy the sanctuary, only rule it. Ghouls on the other hand... I ordered the steel wolf to protect the soldiers and the sanctuary, and I put Asilan to the ice in the pond and ran towards the monsters. Fortunately, soldiers reached a similar conclusion and left me alone. The captain shouted orders and we attacked. I took more light from the oath candle and asked Asilan to share his ice with the other swords. He obeyed, after a while, but obeyed, and everyone was able to put down a ghoul with their own frozen weapons. Still, it was terrible. Ghouls were baking human flesh upon their touch, spitting lava and melting soldiers' faces. I let Asilan fly to impale a couple of the beasts and one of them sent me stumbling after a blow to my stomach. My armor was destroyed, and, at that moment, I was defenseless. The ghoul wanted to trample me. Suddenly, the stone mound where I buried the remains of a guardian exploded and his sword came flying and decapitated the monster. After that, I held Asilan firmly and fought on.

Now, we rest. The volcano is calmer and spits ghouls only occasionally. I told the steel wolf to protect the precinct. I finally found a moment to think about the irony of killing Aisha to save Hiram's life. Well, I am not a sorcerer to see the future. I simply acted to uphold my oath both then and now. I will leave it to philosophers to dissect my stupidity if somebody will read this someday. Anyway, it is not possible to have a volcano here and fight every day. I will go there and try to submerge icy Asilan into the lava. I will try to cool the volcano and turn it into black stone. I will go now.
