"Jet?" Irina exclaimed. She couldn't understand how she was seeing Jet. She was dreaming. Last she knew, she had just fallen asleep and ended up in her dream world. It was a common place that Irina dreamt of.
"How are you here?" Irina questioned the Spirit Elementalist.
"I was going to ask you the same thing."
"I usually don't dream of friends, you know."
"Dream?"
"Yeah, I usually end up here when I dream," she explained.
Jet knew that she had no idea about Planes Walkers, as he had just barely learned about. He wasn't quite sure how much time they'd have together. He decided to keep it short and simple.
"Listen, I just want to tell you and Heyvl that I'm alright. I'm safe in the desert. In a few weeks, I'll be back in the Empire, so look for me there."
Irina frowned. "But this is all a dream, so of course I'm going to be told what I want to hear."
Jet shook his head. "But this isn't a dream. I don't have a lot of time. I just need you to believe that I'll be okay. Don't come looking for me at the desert."
"How is this not a dream?"
"Irina," Jet stated as he grabbed her arms. She looked into his eyes realizing how serious he was being. "Trust me. Do not stop the goal of gathering everyone to stop the Emperor. This isn't a dream, it's a-"
Jet was cut off because Irina opened her eyes. She was looking out to the snowy ground that surrounded the road. Her head was resting on Heyvl's shoulder. When she realized, she sat up straight, her face turning red.
It was day time. Judging by the colder air, it had to be morning. Irina pulled her cloak closer to her. Heyvl didn't seem to mind how she slept, but she decided to not bring it up.
Was her dream real? Jet had appeared to her and he seemed so realistic and genuine. But she had dreamed of that land before. The weird crystal world. Irina began to wonder what Jet was going to say it was.
"Sleep well?" Heyvl asked her.
Irina looked over. Heyvl didn't take his eyes away from the roadside. She knew he was focused on how to save Jet.
"I guess. I had a weird dream. Jet was there."
That got Heyvl's attention. "Oh really?"
Irina sensed a bit of jealousy in his voice. She wasn't sure why he sounded that way, but didn't feel the need to ask. "I heard someone call out, so I ran to see who it was. It turned out to be Jet."

"Oh," Heyvl mumbled, less interested. He tried to focus on the voices he was hearing.
"It was strange because he told me it wasn't a dream. He told me that he was safe in the desert and not to bother coming to look for him."
"What? Why?"
"He said he was going to be taken to Calbar eventually and he would meet us when we return with the Queen's army and Lonava's."
Coria remained silent as the two talked. Heyvl shook his head. "That doesn't make sense though. Wouldn't he want us to go get him to stop the Emperor?"
Irina shrugged. "It sounded like he would be in Calbar when we needed him."
"That's strange indeed," Heyvl replied. He looked over to Coria. "Any thoughts? Should we believe her dream?"
Coria smirked as if she knew something he didn't. Instead, she simply shrugged too. "It could be a sign. It would take much longer to go back to the desert and figure out a way to get through that border."
"Would it really?" Heyvl sighed.
"Well you see how long it's taking us to get back to the Kingdom, right? We have to meet Rujar and the Queen, hoping Rujar has any Lonavians as support. If that didn't happen, we'll be in the Kingdom longer. We need sufficient numbers to march upon the Empire. Moving that many people, even without Lonava, would take several weeks."
Heyvl knew she was right. Maybe he had to trust in the dream that Irina had, even though it sounded crazy and strange. He nodded, letting the other two know he agreed and understood what Coria was saying. A part of him wanted to hop off the caravan right now and head towards Calbar.
The three continued to travel through the Empire. Irina and Heyvl had discussed the dream a few times in the next several days. The snow covered land eventually receded into the dark green grasses that filled the Kingdom. They decided to stick with the original plan, and hope that Jet would be in Calbar when they returned. Perhaps he found his way onto one of the trafficking lines and successfully infiltrated the Empire from the inside.
Over the travels, Heyvl knew that he had Soul Element in him. He wasn't sure why it was so easy, or why he still felt like himself, but the general's blast had caused it to happen. He knew he had to keep fighting it if the general was trying to make him a peon of some kind. Heyvl knew he would have to tell the others soon.

When they were far into the Kingdom, Heyvl was happy to be out of the Empire. It put him at ease to not have to worry about Soul Elementalists potentially appearing. Though the Element in him still caused some paranoia.
Eventually, they were greeted by several parties of the Kingdom's guardsmen. "Scout Coria, we are here to escort you back to the Queen," one guard spoke.
"I have my full report. We have enough information to continue as is."
The guard nodded and beckoned for one of his men to go ahead and prepare the Queen with the knowledge that they were okay to proceed.
"We'll make sure the Queen knows, but she'll want more details to see what we are up against."
"Has Rujar returned? What of Lonava?"
"The ambassador asked me to let him present the news himself."
"Well if he insists," Coria replied, somewhat annoyed.
"Where is the Spirit Elementalist?"
Coria looked over to Irina and Heyvl. The two looked down, angry and sad. She frowned and turned back to the guard. "He was captured."
The guard sighed. He nodded and told the others. The few went ahead of them on single horses. They would be much faster than Coria's caravan.
"It'll be fine, you two. Trust me, if the Queen has the men, we'll get Jet back safely."
"Even if she didn't, I'll find a way to rescue him," Heyvl replied.
Coria admired his courage. The Empire needed to be stopped. They were plaguing the lands for decades now.
The capital was going to take a few more days to reach. Coria was able to leave her caravan in one of the villages they passed through so they could move faster. They were going to each get a horse, but Heyvl had never ridden one before.
"I don't know about this," Heyvl said to the others as he looked up at the horse. The massive steed eyed the Lonavian carefully.
"If you're not confident enough to ride it, it'll know and buck you off," Coria explained.
Heyvl's eyes widened. He looked to Irina. "Is that true?"
"Not for these horses. Maybe for the scout horses," she chuckled. Coria's horse was quite different than the ones that were waiting for them. It was shorter, but looked as it could out run any of the present horses.
"I don't even know how to get on it."
"You use the stirrups."
Heyvl looked blankly at her. She sighed and pushed him towards the horse and pointed at the slot for his feet. "Use that and swing the other foot around the saddle."
She watched him attempt to do what she had just explained. The Crystal Elementalist helped push him all the way up the horse. She joined him on the same horse. "I assume it'll take longer to teach you to ride, so just hold on to me, and we'll get going."
Heyvl blushed as he realized that she was already directly in front of him. "Alright," he said quietly.
The three headed out with the rest of the guardsmen. The remaining of the trip went much faster. The huge castle soon loomed over them as they approached. Rujar was seen riding out on his own, wearing his golden armor.
"Coria!" he announced loudly.
"Hello Rujar," she replied coldly.
"Rujar!" Heyvl shouted happily.
"Good to see you back Heyvl. I heard that Jet was captured."
Heyvl nodded. "We couldn't stop the general without leaving ourselves open to several hundred more soldiers."
Rujar held his hand up to stop Heyvl from saying anymore. "I believe that you would have done anything in your power to save him."
Heyvl felt more hurt. He knew that he could have done more, but he knew Rujar wouldn't believe that.
"So, what of Lonava?" Coria asked.
"Let's head back into the capital. I'd rather tell you there."
Coria looked more annoyed. She just wanted to know already. They rode swiftly the rest of the way. Heyvl noticed a slight smirk on Rujar's face. He was obviously hiding something.
Rujar reached the gates first and turned towards the rest of them.
"What are you doing Rujar? Enough stalling," Coria stated.
"You want to know if we got Lonava on our side? Well see for yourself." The large gate began to open, revealing the even more crowded capital city, filled with Kingdom citizens and Lonvians. Heyvl looked at Rujar. He had been planning the grand reveal. Coria looked pleased, but Irina and Heyvl were the most enthused.
"We're coming Jet," Heyvl said out loud, gritting at the sudden surge of pain as purple clouded the corner of his vision. He had to tell the others.
