Author Corner: Hehehe, now this chapter starts some rather funny stuff, for those who want romance in the fic, because of what will happen starting this chapter, the tag will return and i will be adding it soon because i will start adding parts like that in the coming chapters.

Noah PoV

I was floating through space with dad and Hilda holding onto to my robot.

As we neared the rock around the bandit outpost I guide Psi to my legs and back as I activate the basic propulsion. I back my feet move forward so that I land without crashing.

I also activate something on my legs.

It causes to two small lids to on the front and back of the leg and a hook on each appeared.

When I was a meter above the rock in front of the hangar opening, there was about 10 meters between the energy gate and the opening that opened in the rock, the hooks shot out and dug into the rock and pulled me down and kept me there.

The hook retracted and I leaned forward and jumped towards the gate.

Alex told us there was a gravity generator that activates after entering past the energy gate.

As we were halfway through I feel Psi cover my body. The head of the robot turns around at my order and I see Lisa flying through space quickly catching up. She was freely swimming through space and she easily did a turn around us as if examining us. Then she waved her hand making us start to move faster towards the gate.

The moment we touched it we felt no resistance and crossed through before gravity took hold.

*Thump!

The sound of my heavy feet landing followed by Hilda’s own heavier than normal weight hit the ground.

Unlike before where her armor showed her feminine features, now it looks like her armor was battle armor and was bulkier. Only her face showed but she had a helmet to protect her head but it didn’t have any other function since her computer was in her head.

Before anything I instantly send psi into the psi shield generator and dome like shield appears in front of me.

Just as it goes up a laser shot hits the shield.

“Kill those bastards! They really fucked with the wrong people this time!” Shouted one of the outlaws that was hiding in behind a ship.

“Spread out, dad to the left and Hilda the right. I’ll keep them distracted in the center. I can handle a good number of attacks on the shield.” I said.

““On it!”” They both said and ran out before jumping behind ships. Dad pulled out a laser rifle and Hilda took out a Plasma blade but didn’t activate. She trains in Iai, the art of drawing, attacking and sheathing the sword in one motion. She normally fights like that when against one enemy.

I grab the huge sword on my back and run forward. The gravity is at 1 g so there was nothing to obstruct me. The robot was already fully reinforced so my agility wasn’t impaired and with the few months of training I did, I could move effortlessly in this robot now.

As I bulldoze through the Hangar, I locked on the bandit that attacked first. He was hiding behind a small one man fighter.

As I get near I jump over the fighter and flip the sword to its side and land with my back to him.

Before he could react I did a 180% turn bringing the flat side of the sword to hit him and send him flying to the ground 2 meters away completely knocked out.

Killing isn’t the objective so no point in pointlessly doing it.

*Boom*

Before I could react I large explosion came from just behind me as my shield blocks something but it sends me flying to the ground 4 meters away.

I look at my energy and saw that the shield took 1400 psi to block that and the inertia still passed and hit me.

“Looks like things won’t be so simply. These guys have kinetic rocket launchers. Luckily they don’t have any plasma or anything.” Lia informed me.

With a nod I quickly pushed off the ground and stood before looking at the bastard.

Lia pinpointed the trajectory where it came from and I spotted the bastard location.

I gave no thought to the others as I jumped over every fighter and reached the bastard.

“You asshole, go die!” I shouted as I slam him in the chest with a reinforced fist. My fist drove him right into the ship he was hiding behind and he remained imbedded into it but had coughed up a large mouthful of blood. I had hit him right in the chest and probably broke some ribs and probably damaged some organs.

“I’ll say it once to you all, we have the station surrounded, you give up willingly or you will all end up like this asshole.” I shouted having my voice amplified by the robot’s speaker.

“You can go fuck yourself you fucking midget!” Shouted one man as he pulled out what looked like an energy grenade.

Before the man could throw the grenade Hilda appeared behind him and grabbed the hand with the grenade and with her right hand, a simple and effective Karate Chop to the side of the neck made the man's grip lighten as his eyes turn hazy and he falls to the ground completely knocked out.

“Such idiots that don’t pay attention to their surroundings. Trying to use big weapons in such a small space will kill everyone.” She said nonchalantly as she ducked behind the ship out of view of the other outlaws.

She deactivates the grenade and stores it away since we don’t have any and given time I can probably produce them if I learn what I need.

“Gyahhh!” One man shouted as he flew into the air and landed on the ground bloody.

As I run towards another target, I saw dad swiftly run around the ships as he pounded each outlaw with one or two punches. We didn’t get weapons for stunning them so we just smash them down.

When about one fourth was beat down Lisa entered the shield.

“Guys, let’s wrap this up, the guards are coming.” She said and stuck her hand out.

She does a grabbing motion as she floats and lifts her hand making four outlaws lift 3 meters into the air before she slammed them into the ground. She then spread her Psi out and with a yank she disarmed them before aiming all the weapons back at them.

“Give up now please.” She said in a gentle tone but it was more intimidating them my shout.

Elves are such a cheating race. All the other races need to do so much to match up to that broken skill to use Psi. Lisa isn’t that good but telekinesis isn’t some kind advanced psi technique. It was one of the simplest forms of using Psi and with her control she can easily fake her skill.

As a result of losing all their weapons they were extremely fearful but they still tried to take out throwing weapons, all of which were, confiscated, by Lisa.

When she took the last weapon she muttered, “This is all good loot, I wonder when we'll get to use it all.”

I chuckle but turn to the men and make the shotgun pop out.

“You guys give up or i’ll blow your brains out.” I said and aimed the shotgun barrels at them. They all turned ghostly pale and instantly fell to the ground with their faces down.

This was like a police arrest but we used so much overwhelming strength that their spirits broke. Still looking at the weapon, I knew they were well armed. If we didn’t take over the outpost, I’m sure that defense systems would also be active and it wouldn’t be as simple as intimidating them.

We don’t have the stun weapons but we did get a supply of energy cuffs so we cuff them all before we search them for other weapons and items. I found that for people that have been arrested we could actually look into the inventory which was a nice surprise. This must be a system for police to search them, good system.

We take all the grenades and ammo from them. Halfway through the first Guards walked in pointing their weapons but once they saw all the cuffed outlaws and saw us they were surprised.

“You guys are late, all the fun was taken.” Dad said and laughed.

Just then the captain ogre walked into the station and saw the situation. When he took off his helmet he had a frown on his face.

Most likely he didn’t think we could subdue them all but when he saw Lisa floating with the pile of weapons and ammo and other things he seems to more or less understand as he sneered.

“Men head into the corridors, capture stragglers, the Tosk hacker has already linked to your coms and should be uploading a map of the station and where the stragglers are.” The captain said.

As he said that my suit opens up and I jump out before having it go on standby and not let anyone inside.

“Lisa, let me see the weapons.” I asked.

She brought the pile down and I looked through it all and took a plasma Rifle, pistol, another laser pistol, two boxes of grenades and a box of power cells for each kind of weapon.

“Can you take these back to the ship. Also see with Alex if there is anything she needs. I remember she said that the outpost had a self destruct mechanism.” I said.

“Alright, I’ll be back in a bit.” She said nodding. Before she left the others also look through the pile and get better weapons. A good number of new weapon never hurts.

“Now we should proceed to the central controls and secure that room. I think the Alex can’t get 100% of the systems under her control.” I said.

“We need to be careful, it’s not going to be so simple since the outlaws were pushed into a corner. A cornered rat will always fight harder.” Dad said.

“Yeah but…” I said as I look at the guards walking through. “...for the most part, we don’t need to fight all of them. Let’s profit a bit more while the guards take care of the remaining bandits.” I mutter.

Everyone’s ears perk as they listen closely.

“Lia, open a chat with Alex and Jessica so they can hear.” I said.

On it...Done!

“Alex, jessica, can you hear us.” I asked.

Alex: Yep!jessica: Yes, what do you need.

“I need you guys to search the outpost layout for rooms that have storage of weapons and where there may be weapon and ship blueprints. We can profit a lot from those.” I said quietly so only my crew heard.

Alex: I can leave Xeno to do that but I need to head into the station because I need to manually deactivate the self destruct. Only at the master controls can I do that and it's being guarded at the moment. The security measures in that area is also separate from the main bulk of the stations security system so I can't hack into it without being within the sector.

“Lisa, I’m counting on your to bring Alex down, we will go cleaning up and searching. Also make sure she doesn’t get caught up with the ships in here.” I said.

Lisa nodded and took off with the items behind her.

“Let’s go.” I said as I arm the laser rifle and head into the corridor the guards pass through.

The guards were entering all the rooms but took nothing besides any hidden bandits.

After they leave we would enter and look for items.

Soon the other crews appeared and began to do that same but we did make sure to help out.

I couldn’t help as much since I didn’t train with hand rifles but the pistols didn’t have recoil so I could still shook but holding the large rifles wasn’t as easy.

Soon enough Alex reached us with a sad expression.

“Stop moping and lead the way to the man controls.” I said to her.

“Sure…” She said as she took out the map and then lead us in front after the cost was clear.

When Xeno warned us of bandits we would find a computer console in one of the rooms, after searching it of course, and he would activate the defense systems but put suppressing and non lethal fire. After a bit the systems deactivate and we would cuff the men.

Being able to use the outposts own defense systems is definitely cheating.

When we were getting close, we began to make more stops because there were many rooms here with useful things. Weapon cases, building materials, research tools and so on.

In one of the rooms we found a partially empty office but as we looked, I found an item that looked like a small metal pen but when activated it opens up and resembled a tablet like item. When I activated it and looked through the information stored there, I smiled.

“Hey Alex, look at this.” I said.

Alex walked over and looked at the things on the tablet thing.

On it were several dozen blueprints for fighters. Just like the ones in the hangar, it showed us all the structural information of the ships.

“YAY! With this we can get one of those damaged single man fighters for me. From here it says they run on power cells that last 3 hours under intense combat and can be charged when connected to a power cuplet in a station or ship. YES! This thing even tells us how to build the charging station. The smallest ship can fit through the cargo doors so we can convert part of the cargo into a hanger!” Alex said as her eyes sparkled with a bit of drool on her mouth.

She was lastly imagining everything about the ship. I just roll my eyes and store the item secure, since there are many types of ship blueprints, and we continue searching. We didn’t find much else besides a safe with 5k credits. We took money from those first bandits so we gained around 8K total. Poor bastards.

After that we visited one last room before entering the main sector. Inside we found something strange.

It was in the middle of the room that looked like a research room. It looked like a large cylinder from a life support but there were many wires plugged in. As I looked at it I felt a faint energy emanating from it which was similar to other engines. This must be some kind of drive but the green color, shape and everything about it screams unknown alien tech.

“Help me unplug this, this thing is some kind of engine and I want to study this and figure it out.” I said as I begin unplugging all the wires.

After 10 minutes all the wires were removed and the thing was floating by Lisa’s command. I told her to hide it inside one of the crates with parts. Parts can always be obtained but this is probably something special in the outpost.

We remove a lot of parts to fit the thing near the middle of the box before we covered it up.

With the item safely stored we enter the main sector and were instantly received with weapon fire.

The security system activated nearly instantly. At once large turret like weapons appeared from the ceiling and aimed at us. We all paled as we ran back into the nearest room before it could fire.

“That...was close.” I said feeling my heart in my throat.

“Yeah.” Lisa said trembling a bit.

I frowned since the hall was to small for my robot. If it was bigger I could fit it in comfortably. The robot is 3.5 meters tall and around 2.5 wide. The corridors are 3 meters high and 5 wide. The 0.5 in height restricts my movement far too much. I can’t swing my weapon and I would always be crouched.

“So what now?” Dad asked as he snuck a peek outside and saw the defense system aimed our way.

“Let me take care of this.” Alex says as she looks at the computer in the room.

She goes and connects a wire from the her communicators to the console.

Her fingers start to move rapidly and multiple screens appear. I could see her frowning as she types away before sighing.

“No can do, this room is the last one before the system of the master room defense.” She says.

“Then we have to do it the brutish way.” I said as I pull out an energy grenade that the bandits were using.

I walk to the door and activate it by pressing the button on top and with a quick step outside I toss it as close as possible.

Just as the thing flew and I stepped back a laser shot hit the floor where I was standing.

*Boom*

What followed was a heavy explosion in the hallway.

When I looked outside I saw that the corridor was a wreck with dented floors and lights flickering while the defenses were smashed.

“Lets go, we need to find a room quick and hack into the system and deactivate it.” I said as I walk out and start moving.

The others follow behind as we pass the destroyed machines.

As we reach a turn I stopped and looked over the side and saw that there was more weapon turrets and even heavily armed guards there.

“Lisa, can you make some of these invisible with an illusion or something.” I asked in a whisper

“I can make a barrier to distort light so yes, what do you need.” She asked.

“Get one grenade to each turret and then one in between both guards. No matter how well armed they are, taking an explosion at point blank range is impossible to get out of without a scratch.” I said and took out three grenades.

She holds her hands out and the grenades float up. Then a small film appears around them before it began to shimmer and suddenly the ball vanished.

Lisa then quietly walked to the edge of the corridor before the turn and peeked out as she controlled her psi.

After 2 minutes she put her hand down and quickly moved back and made a barrier in front of us.

*BOOM*

As one the three grenades blew up and we saw the body of one of the guards slam into the wall here followed my a lot of scrap metal.

With a wave her her hand, Lisa made the dust instantly settle. We all lifted our weapons as we moved forward. The door the men were standing in front was probably for the master controls so when we approached we stood to one side as I peeked inside.

I couldn’t see anyone and with no voices I began to wonder if there wasn’t anything but to be careful I picked up a large rock and threw it into the room but as it hit the floor nothing happened.

Seeing nothing happen I didn’t relax.

“I will go first, make sure Alex doesn’t enter until we know it’s perfectly safe.” I said.

Everyone nodded and I slowly stepped out with the laser pistols in front.

With nothing happening I walked into the room making sure to check up and around me but all I saw was a supercomputer and lots of monitors.

After going all around I finally reach the main computer but since nothing happened I called the others.

“So now it’s my turn, stand back as I take over this puppy.” Alex said and walked up and began working.

It took a bit before she finally relaxed.

“Done, now the outpost is totally in my control.”

*Wah wah wah wah!*

Suddenly the room turned bright red and alarm sounds began to sound.

The screen of the supercomputer monitor turned to a counter of 10 minutes.

“Self destruct process activated. All system lockdown.” A female voice said but it was followed by a male's voice. “You idiots pushed you luck to far.” Was all it said and the counter began to descend.

“Didn’t you deactivate the self destruct.” I asked.

“Nope, I knew this would happen, Xeno warned me after he found it. He told me that it was activated from the outside and if we disable it before we take over the station the man activating it will simply activate it with a different code. If we take control and then he does it, he won’t be able to do anything after it is cleared.” Alex said.

At that she turned and began to type again and more screens appeared as she began working.

The timer ticked as the timer dropped one second at a time.

After the system reached 1 minute we were getting desperate but Alex suddenly stopped working with a smile.

“Done, with that the bombs have short circuited in their most critical parts and all their systems are trashed now. We just need to let the counter drop to zero so that the other party doesn’t suspect anything.” She said.

We watch the counter and when it reached 10 seconds, I felt a cold sweat on my back.

One second by one dropped and finally…

3, 2, 1 click….

The lights of the outpost suddenly go off. Ten seconds later they all come back on.

You have succeeded in disabling the self destruct mechanism in the Bandit outpost. With the presence of the Station guard, this outpost will now be turned into a mining outpost which will become a drop point for miners going deeper in more dangerous space.

Due to your crews contribution, your crew will gain 10k more and can freely use the station without tax as well as claim anything currently in the station.

“We did it.” I said.

The others cheered.

From that moment Alex called all the guards and told them we took over the outpost completely. Afterwards we began to look around for more things and found more weapon storage rooms. We don’t take the weapons since we have plenty but the ammo is a different story. Can’t have enough of that.

We find another pad like the one before but this one has weapon blueprints. Most for laser and plasma weapons. I’ve been curious of the true workings but with this, researching each part will help and with so many guns we acquired I will have plenty of things to work with and train my weapon construction and programming skill.

The final thing we had to choose was Alex’s fighter. She stood firm on this and would not back down an inch. We ended up picking out the smallest one man fighter that was very small with two blasters in the middle of its wings and two at the tips and one two barrel laser in front of the pilot seat with 5 hours of life support and power cell life.

It really did fit into the cargo, both of them, so we put it into the upper cargo where my workshop was. It would be better there since it works as a mechanics shop so I can always do maintenance.

“Well this was profitable, now all that's left is to get our pay and then splung a bit.” Dad said with a laugh.

“Not so fast, we need to identify that strange engine, after we get our pay we will go to the trade ship and look for someone to identify it.” I said.

“Sure, that seems fine.” Jessica said.

“My love, my pretty.” We hear Alex saying as she hugs the fighter that was inside the workshop.

We could only smile wryly before we call her so that we can return to the station.

While she drove back we organized all the ammo in our cargo. The weapons were organized in my workshop while ammo was in the cargo.

At the station we got the promised reward of 30k plus 10k from the contribution as well as getting a better communicator which was also a reward. Now they could transmit sound for both the AI and incoming calls. This would also transfer over to when we are in space.

After getting our rewards we head to the trade ship. With Alex and Xeno taking care of the landing permission we enter the same hanger that the freight ship used but there was spaces for smaller ships which we took.

“Come on, we need to find someone to identify the item first before we bring it.” I said as we walk into the massive planetoid sized ship.

As we enter we find lots of those imp like beings and the Zastros walking about.

Before we could walk much I spot a familiar woman walking my way with a smile.

“Well, greetings Mr. noah, what may I do for you today.” She said.

“Hello miss Havic we came because we acquired an item we need identifying since we don’t know what kind of technology.” I said.

“Oh, what kind of technology?” She asked.

“An engine of some kind.” I said.

“Well, I know about some things as part of my study to be a saleswoman so I can have a look.” She said.

“Great, let’s go.” Alex suddenly said.

“Oh…” Havic said.

“Sorry that is our pilot, Al…” I suddenly feel a gust of wind pass me.

“Hyaa!” I hear a girly yell come from behind.

I notice Havic is gone and when I turn I find her burying Alex’s head in her well rounded bosom.

“My god!! Such a beautiful girl! I finally found my true love! This is definitely love at first sight! Please be mine!” She suddenly shouted while Alex was having her face stuffed into the massive bosom.

Everyone in the surroundings were totally stunned and couldn’t keep up.

“L-let me go. I’m muffhuff.” Before alex could say more she had her face buried in Havic’s bsom again.

”I feel this can’t end well.” I thought to myself as I watch Havic suddenly grip Alex’s tail and stroke it making her start to go weak kneed. ”Yeah, very bad!
